Pairing: Sanji x Nami

Rating: K+

Title: Rain

Nami rolled her eyes as a thin arm snaked its way around her waist. She shot the culprit a glare, who quickly snatched his hand away and glanced guiltily to the side as a sheepish grin stole its way across his face. She accepted a brown paper bag from across a stall and shoved it into his arms.

"Here Sanji. You can carry that for me."

"Anything for my beloved Nami!" He beamed. The red head dismissed the comment with a wave of her hand.

"Lets get back to the ship." She said, starting off down the street with Sanji on her heels. He didn't look the least bit discouraged, despite the fact that he had just been—more or less—shot down.

Dark clouds were forming above them, and as a result, the streets were empty. Roadside stands were closing early and retreating inside. Just as the thought crossed her mind that they would make it back to the ship before it started to rain—wouldn't you know it—the first drop of water fell on her cheek.

"Its raining!" she cursed as three more drops landed on her shoulders and head. Sanji moved to walk next to her.

"We could go inside and wait until it stops." He suggested. Nami simply shook her head.

"Why would we do that? Its just a little water. Never hurt anyone." The rain picked up slightly, seemingly out of spite. She frowned but continued forward toward the docks.

After a few steps she realized that she wasn't getting wet anymore. The red-head turned back slightly, and had to hide a smile. Sanji had removed his suit jacket and was holding it as a make-shift umbrella, all the while smiling around the bag clenched in his teeth. Nami giggled and grabbed the bag.

"I'll carry this."

"Ah, you don't have to! I can do—"

"You're going to ruin it." This seemed to catch him off guard, but before he could ask for clarification, Nami spun around and gave him a peck on the cheek.

"Your suit's probably ruined." She stated bluntly, "but now we're even." And with that she climbed onto the deck and disappeared. Sanji, however, remained on the dock, holding his cheek with a goofy grin on his face.
