Chapter 2

Amu sat on the floor her chin resting on the edge of her bed watching Yoru snore quietly from her pillow. He looked a lot better now then he did a few hours ago. He had more color in his face, and the bruise on the side of his head was starting to fade already. She was sure he'd be alright. But what else was bothering her was Ikuto. Why hadn't he come searching for Yoru? Or had he been searching and didn't come here because he'd never think to look here? Of course he'd never look here.

"Amu is Yoru going to be alright?" She looked at Miki who was kneeling now besides Yoru her big blue eyes intense on the sleeping cat.

"Yes, he'll be just fine. He just needs rest…And Ikuto." She added after a pause.

"We should go get him." Suu chirped up flying up besides Miki.

"Yes, lets go get him!" Ran cheered waving her pom poms in the air.

"Alright guys. Can you mange without me? I need to stay here in chase he wakes up." Amu said getting to her feet. Her back was to the balcony so when her charas looked behind her she didn't notice.

"We found him yeah!" Amu jumped as Ran shouted out cheers.

"What are you ….Ikuto!" Amu gasped seeing the older boy staring at her through the glass.

"Let me in." His voice was muffled by the glass.

"Huh?" She asked leaning towards it one hand cupped behind her ear.

"Let me in!" He said louder his head hitting the glass like the time he'd told her where to find Suu.

"Oh, yeah." She blushed faintly opening the lock on the door. Ikuto walked in making Amu back up as he became to close.

"What are you doing here? How'd you know?" Ikuto frowned at her.

"Know what?" He asked.

"That Yoru was here?" His eyes widened slightly and his gaze swept past Amu and came to rest on the sleeping chara.

"Yoru…" He whispered moving away from Amu.

He crossed the room in just two long legged strides. He kneeled down besides the bed looking at the sleeping chara with concerned eyes. Amu was surprised at that and stood there staring as Ikuto lightly touched Yoru.

"Yoru, wake up." He mumbled shaking his shoulder. The cat chara groaned and opened his eyes.

"Ikuto!" He cried out happily to see Ikuto.

"Where were you Yoru?" He demanded but his voice was still soft.

"I was in a tree and…" The little chara's face warmed seeing all the eyes glued to him. "I fell out and hit my head." He mumbled hiding his face in his paws.

"Idiot." Ikuto muttered but he patted the chara's head fondly, a smile lighting up his face. Yoru grinned back his tail swishing back and forth happily.

"Are you feeling better Yoru?" Miki asked in a quiet shy voice. She hadn't moved away from him.

"Yeah good as new!" Yoru chirped smiling.

Ikuto sat down sighing as he leaned his back against the bed. Amu was still standing by the balcony.

"Come here Amu." He said flicking his hand at her.

"What? Why?" She asked but came anyway.

"Ah!" He reached up grabbing her arm and pulled her to the ground.

"Thank you." He whispered in her ear sending chills down her spine as his cool breath tickled her. His arms were wound under hers pressing her against his chest as his finger tips became lost in her hair. Amu, for once, wasn't too stunned to respond this time. Though she didn't have the room to hug back she put her hands on his shoulders letting them sit there as he held her against him. She knew this hug wasn't a tease because she could feel, and see the relief in his face when he saw that Yoru was alright. That and he pulled away letting her sit next to him now.

"Well that was stressful." He sighed titling his head back to rest on the bed. Yoru looked over at Ikuto, blushed then went back to talk to Miki.

"How long have you been looking for him?" Amu asked as his eyes slid shut.

"About…five hours I guess." He mumbled she could hear the sludge in his voice. He was tired.

"Oh, I should have tried to find you earlier. I'm sorry Ikuto." He opened one eyes barely, just enough to look at her, then closed it again.

"It's a strange feeling being separated from Yoru for a long period of time." He mumbled.

"It happened when Suu went missing. It feels like part of you is…missing." Amu said hugging her knees as Ikuto's chest rose and fell more slowly.

"Yeah….missing part of ….yourself." He sounded wide awake though now no matter what he message his body was giving off.

"Amu can I sleep…here?" It looked he was going to either way.

"Um, alright." She blushed looking at the open balcony door. She should close that.

"Really?" His voice was slow and sleepy but surprise sprayed through.

"Yeah, its my fault your so tired." She closed, locked and shut her curtains before returning to stand over Ikuto.

"No its not." She saw him sliding to the side and caught his head before it hit the floor boards.

"Want a pillow?" She grunted trying to lift him back up.

"This is fine." He pushed down his head till it was resting on her legs. She blushed bright red as he put one hand up on her knee.

"I-I…" she stuttered but couldn't find anything to say.

"Fine." That surprised them both but Ikuto was too tired to move anymore.

Ikuto's POV

I was laying on something soft, and warm. It smelled nice too. I opened my eyes slowly to see I was nearly level with the floor that surprised me. Oh, yeah I was at Amu's house. I sat up slowly feeling Amu's hand on my back. It slipped a little and fell off to the side as I sat straight up next to her. She was sleeping her head bobbing off to the side. That must be uncomfortable for her. I felt a little guilty for laying on her like that, but it had been worth it.

I gentle slid my arms under her legs and lifted her up on to the bed. She stretched out instinctively when she was on her mattress. I smirked covering her up with one of the blankets as her face nuzzled into the pillows.

I wondered what she would say if I crawled into the bed with her. She'd probably freak out, add a few pervert comments in and then kick me out. I titled my head to the side trying to debate if it was worth it. She looked so cute laying there like an angel.

"Its like your missing part of yourself." That's what she had said when I told her I'd felt strange. But I still felt strange even though Yoru was back.

"I'm still missing my other half Amu. I'm missing you." I whispered so lightly I knew she hadn't heard. I sat on the edge of the bed careful not to wake her. I lifted my hand and ran it through her hair. I smiled as I did. She was just a kid, but she was so much more.

"Thanks Amu." I leaned over kissing her forehead lightly and then I got up.

"Yoru lets go." The cat chara woke from his little bed next to Miki and the others.

"Ah, now Ikuto?" He whined. Ikuto shot him a glare and the chara obeyed quickly.

"Bye bye Miki." He mumbled kissing the chara's cheek while she slept. His blush was all the way down his neck as he flew

A/N: Ok maybe another chapter? Maybe not I don't know. Kinda a sweet way to end, but then again it could continue. Who knows. Please review thanks for those who have already I love you guys tons.!!

Oo…also. I'm starting one of my few month long blocks where I can't come up with ideas its involentary i swear!! My brain just gets fried after a few months of like non stop writng. So if you having pairings and ideas please send and I'll try to work on them if I have a manger block! Thanks so much maybe another chapter….maybe lol
