Reveal chapter 1
As they enter the school entrance, they were suddenly flocked by their fans in which Lucy avoided and continued straight towards her locker. All she could do is give them encouragement so that they could get out of this… alive.
A few minutes later, the group, clothes a little disheveled, walked up to see Lucy humming a tune as she collected her things for today. This made them smile as they fixed their clothes.
"Yo. Sorry we're late." Natsu said grinning. Lucy closed her locker, looking at them smiling. She shook her head.
"No. it's fine. You guys are popular so I don't mind." she said as she readjusted her glasses. Levy walked up to her.
"You know, you need to remove your glasses. Don't you think there a little too big for-"
"No!" Lucy stepped back as Levy tried to remove her glasses. Realizing what she had done, her eyes widened, as she bowed.
"I'm really really sorry for that, Levy-chan." She bit her lip. Levy just smiled and laughed, surprising Lucy.
"It's alright. It's alright. No harm done, Lu-chan. But, I was just curious, why do you always look like that?" before Lucy could answer, she was tackled to the ground.
"Lucy-onee-chan!" she heard someone say. Lucy couldn't distinguish it as she was squashed by her attacker. A chuckle was heard before the weight above her was lifted as was she. She gratefully thanked Jellal about this.
Standing up, she was surprised to see Wendy.
"Ah, Wendy!" she exclaimed as she hugged her.
"Lucy-onee-sama! Wendy!" they heard yet another voice. They all saw Michelle running towards them. Lucy immediately smiled as she saw her and gave her a hug. Michelle smiled.
"It's nice to see you again one-sama!" Michelle said. Lucy smiled.
"Of course! It's been months since we last saw each other. Where were you anyways?" Michelle and Wendy grinned. But, immediately left as they saw her outfit.
"Wha? What happened to you onee-sama?" they asked. Lucy cleared her throat as she immediately knew her friends were looking at them curiously.
"Well, to tell you honestly, I was wearing these" she pointed to her garments " since I had entered school. Now, if you have any complaints, you might as well do that later." She said as she looked at them.
Before anyone could speak, they heard the bell rang. Everyone immediately scrambled to go to their class. But before Lucy could go, she was pulled by Michelle.
"Wendy, you might as well go now," Michelle asked. Wendy shook her head.
"I want to know as well, Nee-chan." Wendy said. Lucy could only sigh at them. They were talking down the stairs going to the second floor. They looked around and saw no one in particular. Lucy sighed as she looked at them.
"So, what do you want to know?" what they didn't know was that someone was eavesdropping on their conversation.
Lucy sighed as she placed some of her belongings towards her bag. The bell rang a few minutes ago
Indicating recess. Suddenly, she leaned towards her desk, and using her arms as pillow, she hid her face. The conversation they have had a while ago still irked her and also the outburst Michelle did.
A few hours ago…
"So what do you want to know?" she spoke in a soft tone. Even though knowing that there are not so many students already, since the bell had already rung, it was still best to converse in such a way, right? Michelle and Wendy looked at each other, nodding, before looking at Lucy.
"Everything." It was a simple word and yet it hold a big answer. Lucy knew a headache was to form.
She pinched her bridge of her nose before looking at them.
"I've told you already, didn't I? Everything…" she said.
"Do you mean all of those you've told us months ago?" a nod. Michelle and Wendy looked sad. Why?
A long pause lingered as no one wanted to talk.
"Did you tell them, one-sama?" Michelle asked. A sad smile appeared on her face as she looked sideways, the rays of sun illuminating her face, showing somewhat a beautiful yet pained sight. She shook her head as she looked back at them.
"No. I haven't. but someday, I know, I could tell them."
"When is that someday, onee-sama?" she bit her lip.
"Maybe tomorrow, the day after, a week from now, a month, a year, I don't know. But one thing for sure is that it would not be right now. It pains me to do this, but I had no choice."
"You mean, you had your choice yet you further push through on the thing you thought was more right." A sudden voice was heard and they were surprised to see Porlushca standing there.
"S-Sensei!" they muttered.
"Get back to class. You're already a few minutes late." And with a nod, they departed.
"-cy! L..cy! Lucy!" she then felt a hand on her shoulders making her look to see who it was. She was surprised to see a dozen pair of eyes looking at her.
"Ah, I'm sorry." She said.
"It's fine. Anyways, it's already time and yet the teachers not around. They told us it was a free period until afternoon. So, what do you want to do? Head to the library?" Erza asked. Lucy smiled as she nodded.
"You seem to be in a rather deep thought today, levy. Anything you want to share to us?" levy blinked as the attention diverted to her. She only laughed nervously as she frantically waved her hands telling them it was nothing.
"You know you could only tell us anything. We're friends, right?" it was Lucy who said that. Levy pouted but nodded anyway. Suddenly, murmurs interrupted everyone.
"Look, it seems she is hanging out with them again."
"Don't you think she paid all of them just to hang around her?"
"Maybe something else. How could she pay them… haha"
Lucy could only look at them blankly, but her eyes shown sadness as she looked at each of her classmates. Erza and the others were holding their own anger but they knew their patience was wearing thin. Suddenly, everyone was surprised when they heard a loud bang and that the door was forcefully dragged open. They were all surprised to see Wendy, a freshmen, standing there, looking angrily at all of them.
"W-Wendy, what are you doing here?" Lucy began to stutter as she felt the anger her little sister was emitting. There were only a few times when she saw Wendy like this. It was either when people talk about… or if they're talking about someone precious to her. In this case, it was her nee-chan.
The students inside the classroom gulped at the heavy atmosphere the young girl was emitting.
'What have they done wrong?' was all they thought.
"You know…" she started off. "I pity you, sempais."She said the sempais with mere hate laced in her tone. "Talking about someone like they are trash… that is pathetic. How could you judge someone without knowing her first? Are you sure of what you're talking about? How could you be so sure? Did you ever live your life-"
"Wendy, please stop it. Don't." her bangs shadowed her face, as she spoke. Nobody knew of what expression lies within her. Suddenly, Wendy's expression turned to concern, the heavy atmosphere leaving like it was not there a while ago.
"Nee-chan, i-"Lucy shook her head.
"No, it's alright. Guys, I'll be going to the bathroom first. You go ahead, alright?" she soundlessly left the classroom, Wendy following after her. Erza, the first one to compose herself, glared at each of them, making them gulp.
"Let's go. We'll meet Lucy there." Without a word, everyone in the group followed.
Wendy clearly followed Lucy until the bathroom. As they entered, it was silent.
"Lucy-nee, I-" before she could utter another word, Lucy looked at her.
"Wendy, it's alright. Thank you for what you did earlier." She said. A lone tear was shed as Wendy looked at her, guilt shown in her face. Lucy splashing her face with water and wiping it with a hanky she usually places in her pocket, she looked at her. Wendy smiled guiltily as she hugged Lucy. Feeling her warmth, she couldn't help but cry out as Lucy let her cry.
After a few minutes…
"Ah, sorry nee-san, I dirties your clothes." Wendy spoke. Lucy could only smile as she shook her head, removing her jacket, as she readjusted her glasses.
"No, it's alright. I think I have a spare one in my locker. Anyways, why don't we go to the library, neh?" Wendy could only nod.
At the library….
"Mou, what's taking them so long?" Levy asked as she constantly looked at the entrance for the past 15 minutes.
"It's alright, Levy. I mean, you were there at the scene a while ago. Let them take their time. We have long hours before another class, why don't we try and do something other than goof around." A shiver ran down the spines of everyone in the library. Before one could talk, they saw two people coming inside.
"Ah, sorry we're late." Lucy said as they went to the table the gang had been. Everyone shook their heads in understanding.
"It's alright. Come then, we all have other things to do like home works, right?"
Ring… ring…
The bell instantly rang indicating it was lunch. Everyone quietly left their seats and placed back the books they had used. Each of them quietly left the library surprising even themselves for a while since they're not one to be this quiet.
"Hey, guys, let's head out to the cafeteria! Last one is a rotten egg!" Natsu exclaimed as he officially ran through the hallways of the school making one Erza Scarlet twitch in annoyance.
Natsu. Get back here!" as all he had heard.
"Geez, that Natsu." Gray muttered under his breath. Lucy could only giggle at their antics.
Cafeteria…
As the gang took their way in, Lucy and Wendy volunteered to look for a table for all of them. Spotting a really long table just enough to occupy all of them, they each took a seat.
"Hey, look, it seems that she's hanging around them once again. Ugh, that *****."
"She just sticks to them so she could get attention."
"Hahahaha…"
Lucy frowned as she heard their conversation. With a reassuring hand, she held Wendy, whom she knew was already fuming once again.
"It's okay. It doesn't mean that it's true." Lucy said.
"Nee-chan, you should just te-"
"Shs. It's not the time yet. But, I know it will be soon."
Before Wendy could answer, the gang came in, carrying a lot of food for all of them.
"Hm? Did something happen when we were away?" Jellal asked. Lucy and Wendy shook their heads. They shrugged it off before they took each a seat.
"Lucy, why didn't you tell us you had a sister?" Mira asked. Nearly all of them nodded, wanting to know the answer as well.
"Ah, nee-chan's not my real sibling but she is our cousin, right Michelle-nee?" Michelle nodded as she ate. Mira nodded.
"Why didn't you tell us?" Erza said.
"Ah, that's because nee-chan didn't actually knew she had relatives till recently. She was out of the country for a long time, right?" Lucy could only nod dumbly as she ate. Levy cleared her throat garnering each and every one of their attentions. A smile appeared on her face making Lucy gulp.
"Lu-chan~, since they all answered our questions for you~" she paused a little, making Lucy feel uneasy. "You'd receive punishment." Lucy averted her eyes.
"W-what is it?" she asked as she mentally cursed herself for stuttering.
"Well…" she paused as she thought of a possible punishment suited for it. "Ah! Why don't we have a sleep-over at your house, Lu-chan?" To say that Lucy was shocked is an understatement.
"S-Sleep-over? Why did you say that?" Lucy asked.
"Well… we've been hanging out a lot already and went to each other's houses and yet, in all ends to you. You never talk much about yourself. So, I thought it would be a great idea to see your house and a sleep-over is one way I thought we could get to know you more…." Levy said softly. Lucy smiled as she thought of it.
"It's alright. Say, about 7 in the evening, perhaps?" Lucy said.
"Really?" Levy said as she looked at her, hoping. Lucy nodded.
Well, it's alright, isn't it?
