Then where are you right now. Don't tell me you're at home cause I was just there - unknown
I'm at Hanna's. My mom went off so I left. Why were you at my house, I thought you couldn't leave? - Ali

"Hey Em?"
"What?"
"Have you ever had a girlfriend treat you like crap?" I was beyond hurt and anyone within a ten mile radius could tell.
"Several," she sat down. "But one sticks with me more than the others."
"What was her name?" I asked. She didn't seem like she was going to answer me. I turned back to my homework.
"Her name was Faith."
"Was? What happened?" I tried not to look at her.
"Two months after she left me she was hit by a drunk driver," Emily focused her attention back on her homework. She didn't want to talk about her dead ex-girlfriend.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to..." Ali began.
"No its fine. It was three years ago." Emily snapped.
"Who was the driver?" Ali asked cautiously
"We never found out."

Emily POV
She knew something was up when I answered her last question. Thankfully she let it go. I'm not that lucky today. I can't tell her I was driving the other car. No one knew. That's why Maya left. She found out and left me. I saw a flash of red from the corner of my eye then I noticed Paige coming toward me.
"Hey Fields!" Paige bellowed.
"Hi Paige." I didn't want to talk to her.
"You haven't seen Alison anywhere have you?"
"No I haven't." I turned to my locker.
"So Kate is throwing a party for the swim team." Paige clearly wasn't getting the hint.
"Yeah I know." I was getting irritated. "I'm assuming Alison is going with you?" She looked at me like I had just slapped her.
"Actually I was wondering if we could go together instead."
That was the last thing Emily thought Paige would say. Didn't Paige love Ali? Why was she trying to hook up with her? Emily took her phone out and sent a message to Ali.
Ali please tell me you're going to Kate's party this weekend - Emily
Yeah I'm going with Paige why? - Ali
She's trying to ask me out - Emily
She never got a response.
Ali POV
I was waiting for Paige so I could tell her I wasn't going to the party with her but I saw Emily instead. Going up to her was the last thing I wanted to do but if I wanted the truth then I had to.
"Em can you give Page a message for me?" I asked. She nodded. "Tell her I'm not going to the party."
"Why not?" She was worried.
"I'm done with her treating me like I don't matter. So you two have fun. I won't stand in the way anymore." I didn't understand why my girlfriend wanted my best friend. So I stopped caring.
Walking to her car after practice, Emily tried to figure out why Ali thought she wanted Paige. She wanted to be with Ali but couldn't tell her. At least not now.

Emily POV
I was at home getting ready for Kate's party. I couldn't get the look on Ali's face out of my head. Paige had broken her spirit. I told myself that I should be going to see Ali, but I doubt she'd want to se me. Just as I was about to leave my room someone knocked o my door.
"Hey" I said when I had my door open.
"Your mom said you were up here," Ali walked in and closed the door. She had been crying.
"I was going to stop by Hanna's." I stopped at the end of my bed afraid to get closer. "I wasn't sure if I would have been welcome. You and Hanna seem pretty close."
"We are," she wasn't looking at me. "She wouldn't let anything happen to me."
"Yeah. Why'd you come over though?" I probably didn't want to know.
"I changed my mind about going tonight." She got up and walked over to me. "But I can't go if I'm not with someone from the team. I was wondering if I could go with you?"
I was surprised she was willing to go to some place where her ex was going to be.
"Yeah you can." I smiled. Even though today started off horribly wrong, today wasn't to bad. A few minutes later Ali and I had made it to Kate's house. We walked inside and I instantly saw Paige talking to Maya.
"You okay Em?" Ali sounded worried.
"Yeah it turns out my ex is here too." I pulled out my phone and noticed I had a message from Spencer.
Emily something is going on at your house. Is everything okay? - Spencer
Hey Spencer. Yeah everything's fine, why what's happening? - Emily
There are police there. One came over here and asked me if I knew someone named Faith Kennedy. - Spencer
Okay. It's nothing to worry about. Thanks for telling me. - Emily
This couldn't be happening. No one in Rosewood knew Faith or what I had done to her. Then I remembered Maya. Of course she had called the police. So much for wanting to forget about that night. Without realizing it I had made my way over to where Maya was.
"Maya I need to talk to you." Emily was furious. She followed Emily outside so no one would hear them.
"What do you want?"
"You called them didn't you." Emily was shaking.
"What are you talking about?" Maya asked
"You found out about Faith and then called the cops."
"I didn't call them Emily. " Maya looked confused. "I told you I wouldn't tell a soul."
"Then why did a cop show up at Spencer's asking her about Faith?" Emily had had enough.
"I don't know." Maya walked back inside. Emily knew Maya was lying she just had to prove it. Alison came outside to try and find Emily. When she spotted her, Ali could tell something was wrong.
Ali POV
I didn't know if I wanted to know but I walked over to Emily. She looked mad.
"Em are you okay?"
"Oh, uh, yeah I'm fine." She was lying. "Sorry I kind of left you."
"It's okay I'm not mad." I was trying to calm her down.
"Ali why are you my friend?" She looked scared.
"You seem cool and trustworthy, why?" I was confused.
"What if I had done something really horrible?"
"Like what?" She didn't have time to answer before my phone went off.
