As he woke, a blue sheet lay before Eragon. He quickly realized it was Saphira's wing, and he moved it out of the way, but to his astonishment, the blue sheet did not disappear, with a sense of awe, he discovered that the sky was a brilliant shade of blue, there was not a cloud in the sky, and it was already getting very warm. He woke up Saphira, eager to start their day of exploring.
'Good morning little one' she said with a happy thought. And he smiled and her happiness. He got some bread out of his saddle bag, the remnants of the food he had brought from Alagaesia, and he knew he would have to go hunting soon. But not today, today he would find out where he was, and what he had to work with.
After he had eaten, Eragon rose and looked around the citadel it was very large, large enough for at least five dragons at once, to move around with lots of room to spare, that was good, he didn't expect to have more that five at once, he didn't think he could cope!
There was very little else in the citadel, he realized he would need lots more space, and so decided to adopt a layout similar to farthen dur, tunnels and caverns would be made under the ground, and possibly in the mountains themselves, though he would have to be careful to not make them weaker. Magic would have to be used, he didn't have the time to dig it out by hand. Though it would still be a big challenge, the eldunari could help, and Saphira, but it was still a massive job, it would take several days at the least.
