EDIT: So this will finally be finished. I have to start re-writing the chapters before I can actually continue writing writing. I have been looking at my old writing style and I realized that I really hated it. So hopefully, instead of giving you guys whatever shoots out of my brain. I will actually edit and revise quite a bit before you guys see it. This unfinished story takes on the literal meaning of "sh**ty first draft". Just so you know, everything will be in Author's POV from now on.
He is standing in the line for what seems to be entirely too long, but will soon be worth it when the two best amigos reunite for the first time in five years. A tall, Buff Norse fan named Gunther have been patiently waiting to have a seat for the show. Not for his ticket, no! He was one of the first to grab a ticket for this event. What kind of Best friend would Gunther be, if he had just wait until the last minute to go see his old stunt buddy perform in his one-man awesomeness of a show? Not a very good one if you ask him.
You see, he and Kick had been doing the same thing from the age of 10 to the graduation at the age of 18, day in and day out. They have been practicing, sketching, scheming, and doing stunts to get them where they are today.
Well…
At graduation, Kick and Gunther had received offers to go on a five-year tour with all their favorite stuntsman with a chance at getting their own event one day. So they could make a name for themselves. While Kick was already packed and ready to go, Gunther wasn't.
Gunther had his parent's restaurant to look over, since the accident. But that's another story. He had just begun a relationship with Wack—no, she wasn't wacky, just had an infatuated with Kick. Which he quickly got rid of when he realizes that he was seriously about Jackie. That's also another story for another day.
Kick, on the other hand, had nothing to lose. Besides, his—well Gunther didn't know what they really were back then. All he knew was that Kick was going to tell him something about Kendall, until he saw that they were still together. They being her and Ronaldo. After that, Kick didn't bring up her name anymore, nor did she seem as happy as she use to be. That is also another story for another day.
Wow, he didn't realize that he had so many stories; maybe he should make a novel about them? But that's beside the point.
Gunther is here, with Jackie, to show his support towards his old-best friend. He hopes that Kick still isn't mad about how they separated and went on with their own lives. There isn't any time to dwell on that, he needs to find his seat.
"Gunther!" He turns, hoping he was the only Gunther around. When he sees, his beautiful brunette girlfriend/fiancée (also another wonderful story), jumping around causing accidental destruction by bumping and crashing into everyone that was in her area. He quickly rushes over to her, so no trouble could start brewing. He grabs her as she was trying to run over a poor boy eating his popcorn to reach him. "Hey, I found some really good seats!"
He sighs, looking at all the other people glaring at the destructive couple as the crowd cleaned themselves up. "I see, Jackie," He says to make her feel better, until he got really good look and noticed that they were in all the action. He gasped and turns her around, hugging her. "You're the best!"
She laughed and nodded, telling him to hush that he is making too much noise and probably disturbing everybody else. He was about to comment back until the stadium shut down all the lights, causing a black out.
He then heard the speaker, getting ready to hype up the audience. Not that the audience need much hyping up. It's Kick Buttowski and his fans should know what the deal.
In a stadium…
Some of the fangirls have already started their screaming. With the darkness, increasing the intensity of the moment. Gunther starts realizing something.
Standing is one dare devil…
Certain headlights come on, angling themselves towards the center of the stadium. You can see Kick. The crowd starts roaring. Kick is slowly moving towards an object hidden by the darkness.
Tempting to make it into the Hall of Painers along with his favorite heros…
Gunther gasp. 'He couldn't be possibly trying to attempt what I think he is.'
Gunther glances over to his lady friend next to him. Her eyes widen with awe. Gunther tries to push aside that same feeling he got whenever Jackie gives Kick that look. It was the look of Pride and admiration. It was the same look that she had never given to him. He knows that look is for Kick and Kick only. He also knows that he shouldn't feel jealous over him but he just couldn't help it.
And that one devil is called
The crowd started chanting his name. "Kick, Kick, Kick…"
They would continue saying it until he stops walking and does his signature pose. Even though he has changed his looks entirely, (Gunther can tell but couldn't go into detail by detail for you but he can tell) he hasn't changed his pose.
Gunther remembers then and now why Kick was living his dream. Why he was his best friend, why he knows any of their fights don't matter. Because he is Kick Buttowski, you can get rid of his jumpsuit, his helmet, or anything else. He knows that his personality will remain the same and that is stubborn, thoughtful, and genuine.
That's why it didn't matter when he started his stunt. Why he could care less when he was doing a great job at it. Why he didn't worry when the stunt failed and sent him to the hospital with only minor injuries…
Because he is Kick and no matter what he does. He will finish it until the end or die perfecting. Which will also never happen because he is too stubborn to give in.
He stayed by Kick side until he woke up for his quick slumber. He stayed by Kick as he got fussed out by his manager for messing up the stunt. He stayed by Kick as he defends himself. He stayed by Kick as after his manager gave up and left. He stayed by Kick until they were able to reconcile for things that should have been fixed 5 years ago. He stayed until they were told he could leave. He stayed by Kick because He was Gunther.
And he never gives up on his best friend. No matter what.
This looks much better and less all over the place than the original first chapter. Hopefully, I will be able to redo the second chapter soon.
How do you feel? Do you like the original chapter better? Do you think I shouldn't have bothered at all with this?
I'm also sorry because this is going to get really rusty at first, due to me having to re-watch this whole entire series.
Bare with me
