Now, when I first became attracted to Jason, there was something in the way. He had a girlfriend. I wish I had hit her in the face instead. I'd probably take away some of her good looks. Daughters of Aphrodite think they're so hot! Anyways, it was hard at first to get Jason to notice me. I don't exactly have a voice. But, we still have conversations!
"Hey guys!" Jason shouted one lovely morning as he walked near where I resided. "I found the brick that hit me in the head!" He noticed me! He noticed me! He noticed me!
"Uh... cool?" I recognized her voice immeadietly, Piper, Jason's girlfriend. They stood rather close and I wished they wouldn't. I was right here! They were practically touching for pete's sake!
"What should I do with it?" I almost lost it. He called me an it. But, to be fair, he was probably ignorant. I let it slide.
"Toss it over the side, I guess." The girl advised. See? That girl knew I was trouble from the very beginning. She was scared of me. Scared. And I knew I had her shaking in fear. She wanted me gone so that she could have Jason all to herself. Well then! She's got another thing coming! She won't see what hit her.
"No, I think Percy will yell at us for polluting the ocean or something. I guess I'll just keep it here and maybe Leo can find some use for it." I knew Jason didn't mean any of the horrid things he was saying. He was only saying them so that she wouldn't have me thrown overr the edge. She would have thrown me if Jason hadn't saved my life. I am forever grateful for that moment. Jason, he and I, it was love at first sight. Definetly love at first sight.
