A/N:Holy crap! Has it seriously been a year since I've touched this fanfic?! O_o I'm so sorry to everyone who was following this! I thought I was gonna get at least Chapter 2 done, but that apparently never happened. Well, until today, that is. Gonna finish this. Even if it means taking a little longer to tweak the story a tad (it's been a while. I may have different opinions on how I want this story to develop). Eh...That's all I've got to say. Sonic blazed through the streets (which, again, were surpisingly empty) to get the strange, mysterious orb to Tails. He had no idea what this orb was, who made it, or anything, but he was going to get to the bottom of it.
When Sonic got to Tails' house, he knocked on the door, so his best buddy wouldn't think he was being kidnapped or something.
"Who is it?" Tails said through the door, in a cheerful voice.
"Yo, Tails! It's me, Sonic! I found this orb, & I need you to check it out!" Said...Well, you know.
Reassuring himself it was his friend, Tails opened the door.
"Hey, Sonic! It sure has been a while. Come on in. I'll check out what that orb is all about for ya." Said Tails.
So with that, they both went into Tails' house. Sonic even made sure to wipe his feet on the welcome mat before coming in (Tails is a neat freak when it comes to the floor in his house, after all). Tails put the orb in an analysing machine, so it could scan the orb & find out what was so odd about it, while him & his blue friend sat down & talked over some tea (cuz tea is fancy).
"So, how have you been, Sonic?" asked Tails.
"I've been good. Just been bored, because everyone is usually busy. I never have anyone to hang out with anymore." said Sonic, with a slight frown on his face.
"Well, I would've come with you to the park today, if I wasn't busy working on upgrading the Tornado. We always have to plan for Eggman's surprise attacks."
"Yeah, you've got a point."
"So, where did you find that orb?"
"Surprisingly, I just looked up in the sky and saw this bright star. Next thing I knew, it was making a gust of wind, & falling to earth as fast as Shadow did when we saved the Ark!"
"Wow, really? That's pretty o-"
Next thing they knew, the analysing machine in the other room blew up with a loud bang!
"Huh?! What was that?!" yelled Tails.
"C'mon! We have to check it out!" yelled Sonic, making sure Tails was behind him, so he could keep his friend safe.
The two went into the smog-infested room, trying to find the cause of the explosion. Being cautious, they tried to make sure no one was in there, but hearing footsteps around the room kinda made it certain that there was something - or even someone - there. Suddenly, a small, blue flame started floating in the middle of the room.
"Sonic...I-I-I'm scared..." said Tails, in a freaked out voice.
"Well, I wouldn't blame ya on that, buddy...This is the first time I've seen a mysterious, blue flame shine in the middle of nowhere." said Sonic, sheepishly. He then asked it a question. "Who are you, and what are you doing here?"
The flame just sat there for a minute, & then, the two heard a female voice answer.
She said...
"I am...
Black Rock Shooter...
And I need your help..."
With that, the blue fire died off, & you could hear a thud immediately after. The fog died down, so Sonic & Tails were able to see the figure in it's entirety. It was a girl, possibly in her mid-to-late teens, to early 20's. She had pale, white skin, and had on only a bikini top & shorts, for some reason, but also happened to have a jacket on with the same star symbol that was on the orb from earlier. She also had an unknown, stitched-up scar on her right side.
"Well, that was weird, but she said she needed our help...Should we trust her?" Tails asked.
"We kinda don't know if she's on our side yet, Tails. I feel like we should let her rest for a while, and then ask her questions about what happened. Who knows? This could be an Eggman robot, for all we know!" said Sonic.
And with that, our two heroes have been founded. But will they team up?
...Or will this mysterious girl named, "Black Rock Shooter" have to defend herself, without the aid of these people?
