"Alright. I'll do it." she can feel her heart break further as the boy hugs her. "But before I go I need to make sure you're safe." while she doesn't have a satchel on her, she will be able to help Aventus by healing any lingering injuries he may have received at the hands of Grelod. "Are you hurt anywhere?"
He seems reluctant but he shows her a few faint bruises over her arms and wrists. A feeling of hatred and anger starts to build up when the dragonborn realizes just how sick this Grelod is but she forces herself to calm down enough to cast a healing spell on the boy. He visibly relaxes when his injuries are gone, but continues to keep his guard up. It's not like Brila could blame him for acting the way he is. After all, he thinks she's an assassin from the Dark brotherhood here to go kill a woman in Riften.
The trip to Riften is fast, and easy one with little to no difficulties on the way there. Contrary to Brila's previous experiences with traveling, they don't stumble into a bandit camp, or end getting to close to an area marked by a dovah. The driver, Alfarinn occasionally makes general small talk with the dragonborn, but the ride remains relatively quiet for the most part. By the time she's in front of Riften's gates, she gives Alfarinn a small tip. He thanks her before turning the cart around and returning back to Windhelm.
Brila isn't a stranger to Riften, and walking in is pretty easy. She passes by Maul, who merely nods at her, before she makes her way to the marketplace. As she passes by one of the empty stalls, she remembers her first time in the marketplace and the charming red-haired Nord male that she would end up getting to know. The two did hit it off fairly well, and while the she didn't take up his offer of joining the guild he's in, she's certain that he would be able to point her to the right people.
Walking through the ratway is something she can't stand, but after taking out a couple skeevers, and avoiding some nasty puddles, Brila finds herself standing in the Ragged Flagon. She makes note of Maul's brother giving her a few nasty glances, silent warnings for her to not try anything. Unfortunately, she doesn't see Brynjolf.
"I see you couldn't resist returning to this quaint little place." she can hear the smirk in Delvin's tone as she turns to face him. After playfully swatting his shoulder, she sits across from him. Even after all this time, he couldn't resist teasing her; at least he didn't bring up Brynjolf.
"I'm going to cut to the point." Brila begins. She remembers Brynjolf telling her that Delvin is the right guy to go to if you need anything. "I need a very powerful paralyzing poison."
"Do you now?" Delvin asks as he raises an eyebrow. "I might have what you need, but it's going to cost you." he watches as she gets her satchel, and opens it to get a coin purse. He softly chuckles and shakes his head. "No, love. I'd much rather you pay with your talents." she gives him a confused look. "I can get your poison, but I expect you to do a little favors for me. It's nothing too serious, just some item retrieval from a few people" she nearly lets out an annoyed sigh, but stops herself. "Do we have a deal?" after hesitation, Brila nods, and they shake hands. Brila leaves with a bottle of poison to dip her dagger into, and a few pickpocketing jobs to add to her growing list.
After leaving the ratway, she decides to see how terrible Grelod really is, and after listening in to hear the old woman verbally abuse the children, and get to the point of physically abusing them, Brila is determined to make sure Grelod the Kind suffers a slow, and painful end.
By the time it's late into the night, Brila is ready to put her plan into action. Most of her supplies are waiting outside of the gates, and she makes sure most of the guards are distracted or not close by to see what's going on. She ties her hair up, and after making sure nobodt can recognize her, she coats her dagger with the poison and sneaks into the orphanage. Brila sneaks past the sleeping children and is careful not to wake them as she goes into Grelod's room. It doesn't take much to incapacitate the old woman, just a single stab wound from a dagger that is probably coated with too much of the poison, and soon Brila is dragging her out of Honorhall, and out of Riften.
The few gaurds that do manage to notice, are quickly reassured when Brila lies and tells them that she's helping Grelod by bringing her to the temple of Mara, and that the old woman is incredibly sick with a highly contagious illness. Her lies work and with nobody in the way, she manages to take Grelod out of Riften, and into a part of the outside area that is known to be full of wildlife. She ties the old woman to a tree and makes sure there's no room for escape. As she looks down, all she can see in the older woman's eyes is fear.
"It doesn't feel great, does it?" Brila laughs. "To be alone, and terrified for your life. After years of you brutalizing those children, you finally will understand their pain and helplessness. " she pauses for a dramatic effect "Those children who were sent to you lost everything; their homes, their families, and their lives destroyed, with nothing left for them to go back to. They lost everything, but despite all that, you decide to abuse and torment them like the disgusting piece of shit you are...but I suppose the treatment you will be receiving will make everything you've done look seem tame." the terrified look in Grelod's eyes makes Brila grin from ear to ear. "There's a special place for people like you, and it's time for you to go there..." she turns and uses the thuum to get the animals to attack.
The last thing Brila hears is Grelod's screams of agony as the wolves tear her apart.
