Chapter 2: Obviously three years later
Emina Wu - Third Person POV
Emina crept down the halls of the Akatsuki base, occasionally peering around the corners to make sure nobody was there. She pressed herself against the walls in a discreet manner, inching her way towards escape.
"Emina! Emina! Where'd you go!?" Kisame yelled for her a few hallways back, but she knew she had to keep going. This life she lived was great but it wasn't enough to satisfy her.
She needed something more.
"Hey Emina! We're having your favourite ice cream! Strawberry!" She glanced back at the now tempting hall behind her, considering. Shaking her head furiously, she looked straightforward with a determined expression. "No, I gotta do this. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other…"
The door was in sight, just a few more steps.
"Emina! Itachi, Deidara, help me find her!" She felt her eyes fill up with tears as she looked back to the source of Kisame's voice.
She yanked out a piece of paper and a brush, writing down the words, "Goodbye Daddy." Then she grabbed one of her few kuini and stuck it to the wall.
Pushing open the door she walked into the sunlight of her new life, unaware of the fact that she was headed toward the Leaf Village.
Rye Sarycima - First Person POV
I sat on a rock, fiddling with a kunai, as I stared into the wind. My chestnut ponytail flew out behind me.
"Rye? Where are you?" a voice behind me called. I sighed. "Why can't she just leave me alone? I swear she's just like him! I hate him... He's arrogant, he stole my mom, tried to replace my dad, had the absolute nerve to even think he could, and when I complain he breaks in with the whole 'I'm just trying to help.'…"
"There you are!"
"And he gave me the most clingy sister in the world!" I turned around, forcing a grin.
"Hey there Ryn! I was just thinking about you!" I said with faked happiness as I stood and slipped the kunai into my pocket.
"Mom and Dad wanted me to tell you that it's almost time for dinner." I narrowed my eyes slightly at her mentioning him as 'Dad'.
"Fine. I'll be right there." My voice was thin and dry as I spoke, all traces of even false joy gone.
Ryn blushed and looked down slightly, embarrassed. "S-sorry, I forgot..."
"You forgot that my dad is dead?! That my mom didn't even give two shits about him and whored herself to that jackass you call dad?" I snapped. Ryn bowed her head deeper as her cheeks continued to redden, the image of an innocent little girl. That didn't matter to me though.
Not at all.
"You know," I hissed walking closer to her, grabbing her arms. "You're exactly the same as him. Selfish, stupid-" I leaned closer to her and ground out my next words. "Hated. I wish you would all just die!"
Ryn looked up at me, tears filling her eyes. She yanked herself out of my grasp and ran back to the house.
"Fuck this place," I ground out, and did something that I should've done a long time ago; I left.
0o0
As I sauntered through the woods I heard the sound of someone sniffling nearby. I turned about and saw a little girl standing by a tree, crying. I rolled my eyes but decided the best thing to do would be to help.
"Hey," I said in a bored tone. She didn't respond, just looked up at me and started crying fresh tears.
She pulled out a piece of paper and wrote something down, "I'm lost!"
"Oh. Well don't worry, I know where I'm going, and you can come with me iffya want."
She looked at me blankly.
"I'm headed to the Leaf Village," I said slowly, trying to get some reaction out of the child.
She continued to stare blankly.
"So... are you coming?" I tried, extending my hand. She stared for a second before taking it and nodding.
Ryuuzaki Ezakiman - First Person POV
I walked around the Leaf Village, trying to find my best friend Naruto. He and I had been best friends for, oh I don't know, three years now?
Yeah, that seemed to be right.
Nodding at my own statement, I curved a few twists and turns. Ah, there he was!
But who were the two people he was talking to?
One was a bit tall with red hair held back in a ponytail, and he had a light tan. He also had green-blue eyes that glistened with a hidden spark of intellect.
"A very hidden spark," I mused mentally. The other was a short girl who looked like one of those dolls that I always see behind the glass of the toy shop, with her midnight black hair, brown eyes and snow white skin.
In fact she looked so much like a doll that I thought she was one for a moment.
I approached them. "Hey, Naruto! I was wondering if you wanted to hit the ramen shop."
His blue eyes lit up at the mention of his favourite meal.
"Sure! Oh yeah, can we bring these two? I promised to show them around." He smiled meekly as he pointed at the two strangers.
"Alright... um, who are they again?" The redhead grinned.
"I'm Rye Sarycima from the Land Hidden in the Waterfalls. I'll also have you know that I'm the best ninja to come out of there. I can do whatever I want and get away with it. I'm probably the best prankster around come to think of it," he said proudly with a snarky grin. I felt insulted by his bragging, I mean the funniest and best prankster here was my best pal Naruto! So I, naturally, retorted.
"Oh yeah, and what makes you so good?" He stepped up to me, a whole inch taller than I was. Damn!
"I can summon a dragon that could toast your ass and eat you in two seconds flat." I looked at him skeptically.
"Is that so?" He stepped back, his nostrils flaring. Without warning he did a hand sign with his left hand before slamming it onto the ground hand open, palm down. I waited for a while to see what would happen.
Nothing did.
I was about to rub it in when I heard a roar and looked up at the sky. There, flying above us, was a glistening crimson dragon. My eyes widened as I felt my jaw drop. "A dragon!"
Naruto was yelling something about it being cool in the background.
Rye grinned proudly as he took in my shocked stare. "I told you so punk! And you doubted me!"
The dragon continued to fly around before it swooped down, just low enough for a boy, much older than us, to grab the crimson tail and swing himself up as it flew by. His gleaming red eyes shone with an insane adrenaline.
Once again I heard Naruto yelling about this being really cool in the background.
Rye, however, looked up at the teen angrily. "Hey! Get the fuck off my dragon!"
The boy looked down and grinned. "Make me pipsqueak!"
The only rational thought that could go through my head at the time was, "This is going to be fun!"
Ash - First Person POV
I walked with boredom through the streets of the Leaf Village, looking for something to do. I sighed. "Alright, three words. Worst. Vacation. Ever. Of all time."
I then cocked my head as I heard a roar. I looked up and saw a dragon flying magnificently through the air. Hmm... magnificent is a bit much… Oh! It was soaring intimidatingly in the air! "Well, intimidating for most." I thought to myself as I sped around the corners, an idea starting to form in my mind.
"...doubted me!" a proud voice yelled out. The speaker came into view as the dragon flew down, straightening a foot above the roofs. It's tail flicked by.
"So tempting…" Without further thinking, I jumped and grabbed the tail, throwing myself magnificently onto it's back. "Now THAT deserved a magnificent! Wow, I don't pay much attention to my wording. Huh, whatever." Below, a redhead looked up at me irritably and yelled.
"Hey! Get the fuck off my dragon!" I probably should get off and say, "Sorry, it was in the moment…" screw that!
"Make me pipsqueak!" I grabbed it's neck and pulled back, so he flew upwards, until a full circle was completed. I continued to do this repeatedly.
"Cut that out, and get down from there!" The kid below yelled out demandingly. I grinned as nasty idea hatched in my head.
"As you wish," I purred evilly as I manipulated the dragon downward, right towards the group of kids.
"Ah!" the hothead yelled as he held up a hand, flashing a hand sign. I did a forward somersault in the air just as the dragon poofed away, landing gracefully on my feet and sweeping into a bow.
"Awesome! That was so cool, believe it!"
"Thank you, thank you!" I said as I stood up straight. The redhead scowled as he stepped up to me.
"Hey jerk, what the hell was that all about!?" He growled.
"What, you can't figure it out for yourself pipsqueak?" I asked, my smirk growing wider.
Fumika Mochizaki - First Person POV
I wandered around the Leaf Village with two of my friends, Len and Lin, twins. They both were tall and lanky with pale skin, runes, and wild brown hair that the wind had partially swept over their intense green eyes.
"It's nice that we were able to come here for a school field trip, huh?" Len asked, being the more talkative of the two.
"Yeah," replied Lin, his shyness showing through as always. I sighed.
"C'mon! Let's go explore!" I said abruptly, grabbing them by the hand and pulling them off. I suddenly stopped upon hearing something, cocking my head. I glanced toward Len and Lin, who had stopped to listen as well. I was able to distinguish the voices of a teen and a younger boy.
"Hmm, do you think it might be bullies?" I asked them, feeling slightly excited about putting a jerk in his place. Lin shrugged.
"I dunno. It could be," Len said.
"Let's find out then!" I said, pulling them along again by the hand. We stopped when we saw a silver haired boy saying, "What, you can't figure it out for yourself pipsqueak?" I fumed at the injustice. Seriously, what a dick! Calling someone names just because of their size. Without thinking, I called out, "Why not pick on someone your own size!" Yup, the most cliché statement I could have possibly blurted out. The boy turned around calmly. As he faced me full on, I saw that he wasn't a boy at all. He was a slouching, ragged, roguish teen with scars on his face and evil glints in his eyes.
"He looks like he might be cool to hang around," I thought offhandedly.
"And why don't you mind your own fucking business, midget?" That line of thought made an audible 'pop' as it burst into a million pieces.
"Oh, you're gonna regret that bastard!" I hissed as I ripped out a kunai and threw it at the teen's head. He dodged it with a mere cock of his head, a wicked grin stretching across his face. I growled and summoned flames into my palms before letting them spread over my fingers, knuckles, and finally past my elbows, consuming half my arms in flames. I snarled at him again before rushing at him.
"Lin! Len!" I called out, knowing that was all the instruction they needed. They both flickered from view and reappeared on either side of the teen, using a technique that froze his feet in place, so he couldn't avoid getting hit. He merely gave a psychotic grin. I reached him a split second later and slammed my fists into him as hard as I could, causing him to double over as my flames scorched his flesh. He didn't lose his smile though.
"What's he playing at?" I wondered. He looked up slowly, his red eyes locking with my blue ones. A nasty smirk decorated his lips. "Gotcha."
My eyes widened as the teen exploded in a storm of black flames that reeked of corruption. I reached forward and shoved Lin and Len out of the way; they weren't immune to fire like I was, and even then being around those flames made me feel strange. Like I should furiously scrub the decay off my skin in scalding water. I then turned around and saw him sitting calmly on a nearby roof.
He gave me a mocking smile and waved at me.
That. Was. It.
I rushed at him so fast that I was certain that I had left an after image of myself standing there. I appeared behind him, covering my foot in flames as I executed a roundhouse kick to his head. I swore I felt it connect as he flickered from view, leaving me glancing around. I finally spotted him in time to see him reappear, blood staining his white hair. In a slightly dazed fashion he accidentally bumped into a pale teen with dark blue hair, light blue eyes, and pale blue tattoos. It also seemed like he might have once been tan, but years of being withdrawn from the outside had bleached his skin color.
"Hey, watch it!" the blue teen said as he pushed the renegade off of him.
"Tch, it's not my fault. You got in the way." Mr. All-That replied, rubbing the back of his head.
"Oh, you're right, I'm so sorry, excuse me while I look back on my actions and think of a way I could have avoided getting in the way of the biggest royal ass in history."
"What're you looking at it?"
"What are you doing, shoving it all up on my junk?"
"I'm not sure if I should be surprised that that was the first place your mind went."
"I'm not sure if I should be surprised that that was the only comeback you could think of."
"Speak for yourself, that was pretty weak."
"Not as weak as your performance in bed."
"How would you even know? You look like a straight-up virgin to moi, minus the straight."
"And you know what that looks like how? From experience?"
My eye ticked.
"Okay, both of you shut up!" I yelled irritably as my eye tick increased to a full out spasm.
Both teens looked up at me before looking back at each other. The blue haired one jerked his thumb at me. "Who's the midget?"
There went that eye tick again.
The other teen burst out laughing at this.
Tick.
Tick.
Tick.
"That's fucking it!" I screeched insanely, my entire body consumed in flames as I felt a huge inhumane desire to murder something.
Preferably the two obnoxious boys in front of me.
"Aw shit..." the renegade teen muttered as the blue haired teen grabbed him by the wrist.
"Run, bitch, run!"
Naruto Uzumaki - Third Person View
The spiky haired blonde watched as the whole scene unfolded right before his eyes.
To say that he was surprised was an understatement.
To be more precise, it was the understatement of the whole year.
Naruto was shocked.
He was so shocked that he just stood there, mouth agape, looking like a fool.
It had been a normal day in the Leaf Village, with him thinking up ingenious pranks that he and Ryuuzaki could play on the older Jonin.
He was in the middle of planning out one of his many infamous pranks when he ran into Rye and that porcelain doll-like girl that seemed to cling onto his side every second of the day.
Okay, that was a bit exaggerated, but still.
Then Ryuuzaki had come along and met Rye. Naruto was amazed at the dragon the new guy had summoned. He wasn't even at that stage yet! Then that other guy had appeared, hijacking the dragon like the show-off he was.
And that midair somersault was so awesome, that the blonde had nearly squealed out loud.
He remembered just in time how uncool he would seem in front of the others, so he kept it to a minimum.
Naruto could only watch in anticipation as the new guy rubbed Rye the wrong way. It looked like Rye would attack the other guy at any moment, but halfway through their spat a group of three appeared,
Led by a real short girl.
Before Naruto could say anything, a fight broke out. It left the blonde speechless with how advanced their fight seemed to be. It was as if they were on a whole different level! It wasn't long until another person was brought onto the scene. Naruto couldn't hear much with the distance between them, but what he did hear caused him to be confused. Were they homosexually attracted to each other, or just joking? He couldn't really tell.
The small girl suddenly burst into flames and started chasing the two teens, leaving him and the others behind to look at their trial of dust they had left behind.
Now that brought him to the present. Ryuuzaki went to go help the fallen twins up, while Rye snorted. "They're real childish."
"Weren't you the same way when that other guy stole your dragon?" Ryuuzaki asked
On cue, the former bristled. "Why you-!"
They were suddenly cut off by an ungodly growl. All heads turned to the blonde laughing meekly.
"Ehehe...I suppose I'm hungry..." Ryuuzaki chuckled at the blonde's action.
"Well I did come here to see if you wanted to get ramen." Naruto brightened at the mention of his favourite meal… again.
"Yeah! Let's go eat ramen!" He pumped the air in his joy. Turning back to the others with a grin plastered on his face he asked them, "Want to come and join us? The foods great and it's cheap too!"
The porcelain doll-like girl tugged on Rye's sleeve, nodding her answer when she had his attention. The latter turned back and jabbed a thumb in the girls direction. "She wants to go, and so do I. I'm famished."
"I didn't catch her name when we spoke, would you mind telling us?" Ryuuzaki interjected.
Rye shrugged. "I don't know either."
"You don't know your traveling companions name? That's a bit rude," Naruto butted in, a frown on his face. "How could you not know?"
Rye glared at the blonde, but before he could snap he was stopped with a jerk of his arm. Looking down, he saw the girl shaking her head before she went up to Naruto. Writing utensils in hand, she wrote down her response, "Don't be mad at Rye, I didn't tell him my name in the first place. So it's my fault. I also don't talk much, that's why I write. My name is Emina Wu, by the way. It's nice to meet you!"
Naruto grinned, and held out his hand. "Nice to meet you too, Emina! I'm Naruto Uzumaki! Believe it!"
Emina shook the blonde's hand, her indifferent façade not shifting from place. Ryuuzaki smiled as he introduced himself.
"I'm Ryuuzaki Ezakiman, nice to meet you all!" The lanky twins nodded as they introduced themselves as well. More like one did for the both of them.
"I'm Len, and this is Lin. He doesn't talk much to new people, since he has a huge shy complex."
"Cool! Now that we all know each other, let's head to the ramen stall!" Naruto fist-pumped the air once more before heading off in the general direction of the said food stall.
The others trailed behind him, succumbing to their empty stomach's needs.
Koinu Inuzuka - First Person View
"Mmm, it doesn't get much better than this," I thought to myself as I stretched my legs out on the tree branch I was relaxing on, leaning back into the tree trunk behind me.
I had just gotten back from a tiring mission and was enjoying the down time with just me, the warmth of the sun on my face, and Kou, my dog.
"Isn't it nice out today, Kou?" I asked as I stroked his striped back. He barked happily in agreement. I laughed and slowly drifted out of consciousness...
I was suddenly startled from my nap as two people came crashing over the wall that separated my property from the rest of the Leaf Village. The sound of two people gasping for breath could be heard on my left.
"Holy balls... that girl is fast!" one panted out.
"No shit -" a gasp for air. "Sherlock!"
I heard something that sounded like someone climbing to look over the wall.
"Do you think we lost her?" the more roguish voice asked.
"Why are you asking me?" the other snapped.
I took this time to jump out of the tree, making the intruders to go silent.
"Aw fuck, the owner's home!" the mischievous voice said.
"Didn't you notice him earlier?"
"Well, yeah, but I thought he was just some kid. But when you look at the way he holds himself, it's obvious that he owns the place."
Silence.
"Right..." the other muttered under their breath.
Seriously, if this kept up, I really didn't know what they would end up doing. So I stuck my hand out, introducing myself to them. Might as well know who they are and what they are up to.
"Hey, I'm Koinu Inuzuka."
One of them shook my hand firmly. I could feel the callouses on his palm, as well as how confident his grip was. He was also the one who sounded more reserved than the other. "I'm Dak Shynimous."
"I'm Ash," the roguish voice answered somewhere to the left.
I felt a grin forming on my face, a habit that I was taught since the beginning of my life. "Nice to meet you! Mind telling me what you guys are doing here?"
A nervous chuckle drifted from Dak. "Well you see, there was this girl..."
"There you are! You fucking shitty assholes!"
"Shit! Let's beat it dude!"
I could hear a couple explosions and profanities here and there as their voices grew dimmer, indicating that they had moved out of my territory.
"Well that was interesting," I mused as I returned to my spot in the tree.
Tess Arykysim - Third Person View
In the Land Hidden by the Mist, a young, depressed girl sat at a table for lunch across from her friend, Nick. An awkward silence enveloped them.
"Care to tell me what's wrong?" Nick asked in an attempt to cheer his friend up as well as to dispel the awkwardness.
"No," came the girl's short answer.
Nick sighed. "Of course not... that would make things too easy."
Tess glared up at him, to which he held up his hands defensively. "Just saying Tessie, you always make things harder than they need to be."
The girl continued to glare.
Nick sighed once more. "Alright, I'll shut up now."
Ray Nyerizama - First Person View
I ducked as the drunken gambler took a swipe at my head. A sigh escaped from my lips. Why do drunks always go for the little guy?
It's not like I have a huge billboard stuck to me saying "Come and get me! First punch landed wins one million dollars!" I heard the sounds of the casino patrons turning to watch.
At this point, they all knew better than to mess with the Phantom, and when somebody did, it was usually pretty funny.
At least that's what I gathered from the expressions of the spectators that had gathered around to watch, and I'll admit that that I enjoyed beating them. But today, I decided I didn't feel like playing around with this bloke and quickly placed my hand on his sweaty chest. "Ew... gross!"
I released a pulse of chakra into his stream, seriously disrupting his flow and knocking him off balance. I then kicked a chair behind me into the air over my head, grabbed it, and crashed it down on him.
I then retrieved the cash I had won from my game with him, the very reason this fight had started. I grinned at his stupefied expression.
"Don't mess with the Phantom," I said as I strode out of the casino, waving the wad of bills in the air and leaving behind the embarrassed man.
0o0
I walked carefully into the house, hoping not to wake my uncle from whatever drunken stupor he had fallen into. Turns out I didn't need to; he was already awake, though no less drunk than I had suspected.
"Hay thur, Ray," he hiccuped out.
I gave another sigh. Just why was I surrounded by these drunks?
Not waiting for a reply, he continued. "Didja ge' la moonay?"
I nodded, deciding not to tell him that I had already had much more money than he could ever need in my personal accounts.
At this point I merely went to the casinos to sate my newfound addiction for gambling.
...
And winning.
"Or uh gud baoy, Ray," he mumbled. I didn't even bother to decipher it.
"You should probably get some sleep, Uncle." I had spoken these words so many times now, that I barely felt them pass my lips.
I gave him a grin.
I always do to follow up my words.
I can't tell if it's genuine or not anymore.
Ren Kagizile - First Person View
I sat staring at the chess board, my red headed friend on the other side.
I gave a small smile as I reached out and moved a piece, softly claiming my move. "Checkmate."
"Ah! Not again!" He sat forward, running a hand through his hair. I giggled as I leaned into my sheep, Strife.
"You're only winning because this is a foreign game," he said jokingly. I smiled gently as my eyes drifted shut.
"Alright, alright, we better get inside now," he said as he walked over to me and picked me up teasingly, carrying me to my door before placing me down.
"He never comes into my room anymore…" I frowned at the thought.
"What's wrong, Ren?" he asked curiously.
My brow furrowed as I continued to think about this, mumbling my answer, my thoughts far away. "Nothing, I just noticed something..."
"What, surely you couldn't have only just noticed how handsome I am, could you now?" he jested.
My head snapped up. "That! That right there!"
He looked puzzled. "The what now?"
I pointed at him.
"You've been acting weird lately!" I said it as if it was some kind of great revelation.
"Okay?" We proceeded to stand around in awkward silence for a while before we finally bid our goodnights, and went to bed.
Emerald Azymykt - First Person View
I yawned as I walked out of class, running my fingers through my shining purple hair. I bent down to scoop up my cat, Glimmer, from where she was sitting outside the classroom door, waiting for the class to adjourn.
"Hey there pretty girl!" I cooed as I scratched under her chin. She purred happily in response. My hand brushed up against her choker which matched my own necklace. As I began to walk towards home, I thought back to that day and sighed breezily.
I soon arrived at my house. My aunt was, of course, was working outside in her gorgeous garden. I couldn't help but smile when I took in the scenery.
She glanced up when I approached her. "Ah, Emerald my jewel! How was your day?"
I smiled cheerfully as I replied, gushing happily. "My day was great, Aunt Sophie!"
"I'm glad to hear it. What are you off to do now?" I sighed, shifting my backpack.
"Homework," I muttered.
"Aw, don't be so down about it; I'm sure it won't take any time at all, especially for my smart little girl!" I beamed at her words before heading up to my room.
It took only an hour.
Dak Shynimous - First Person POV
I approached the ANBU officer crouching in the shadows, not bothering to make my steps stealthy. He stood as I got closer and signaled me over to his side.
"You've completed your task?" he asked in a hushed voice.
I nodded in the darkness. "Yes, I've observed all the targets I was assigned to."
I could almost feel the ANBU's grin from behind the mask. "Excellent."
He turned to go, but I quickly reached out and grabbed him forcefully by the arm.
"Sir..." I started, "I've been informed of the identity of all ten of the jinchūriki's siblings except for the eldest and the second. Why?"
The ANBU removed my hand from his arm as he turned to go. "All in due time, Dak. All in due time."
And with that he disappeared.
Leaving me standing with nothing but the darkness...
...and my thoughts.
Ash First - Person View
I walked to the hotel me, Aunt Rissa, and my mom were staying in with a grin on my face, even if it hurt to make said expression. I had managed to get away from the demon-possesed girl, but not without apologizing profusely receiving another blow to the face. "That girl is no joke!" I thought, somewhat pleased to have found a genuine badass.
Dak had escaped unscathed, since he had unintentionally pissed her off. I entered the building and headed for our room. However, as I got closer to the door, I could hear the sound of my aunt talking with my mom.
"...you have to tell him, Lulu!" my aunt ordered.
"No, I don't! I've put it off this long, if I tell him now I'll give him a complex!"
"Please, as if you care about him. We both know you took him on so Mom and Dad would send more money your way to take care of your precious baby."
"How dare you!"
"Don't act like it's not true."
Silence.
My mom changed the subject back to what they had been talking about. "Well what am I supposed to say? 'Oh, hey Ash, just wanted to tell you that you're adopted!' Yeah, that'll turn out well."
I heard the sound of something crashing to the floor as the amount of light coming from beneath the door lessened. "Fine Lulu, do what you want!"
Rissa burst from the door and walked past, not noticing me hidden in the shadows.
Surprisingly, I felt a grin stretch across my face. "I always knew something was up..."
I opened the door of the apartment building we were staying in and stepped into the shadowy interior. My "mom" appeared in the bright doorway of the kitchen. "Ash, you're home! I was so worried about you!"
"She's so fake…" She flicked on the overhead as I took note of the broken lamp on the floor. I giggled insanely under my breath. "Liar."
She looked startled. "What was that?" she asked as she made an attempt to close the distance between us. My eyes snapped up.
"You better stay where you are you little bitch," I said as I laughed darkly, filling the air with the grim sound.
She had a startled look on her face. "You didn't..."
My grin widened. "I did! I heard every little word about how you've been lying to me my whole life, about how you've been using me. You know it all makes sense now, how you neglected me, how you failed to keep me safe."
I walked toward her, dragging a kunai from my belt. "Well, now I'm going to lie to you."
She trembled as she stared with wide eyes at the kunai in my hand getting ever closer to her face. My smile faded as I leaned in and whispered to her,
"Everything's going to be just fine."
SiP: Man those edits were driving me crazy!
