Chapter 2 - Mistakes

A few days later...
I had been walking around for a few hours now, looking for something... I scoffed, telling myself over and over I was looking for Pokemon. But really, I was looking for May.
Suddenly, I heard a shout.
"Paul!"
I turned, and sure enough, there was Ash.
"What?" I snapped, annoyed. Wait. Why was he here? I thought he was back in Kanto...
"What's going on?" I glared at him.
"May and Drew! I-!"
Ash looked panic stricken...
"Calm down, and tell me what's going on."
"I was talking to May on the phone, and suddenly I heard her shout Drew's name, and then she screamed, and I heard a crash and!"
Ash now looked like he was on the verge of tears.
I widened my eyes as his run-on story sunk in. May and Drew were in trouble.
"Okay... Do you know where they were?"
Ash frowned, trying to think for once. "Um... Near Floaroma town, I think."
"...Good enough." I headed off to that direction. Thank god we were already on route 204.
Sure enough, after going through Floaroma town and getting on route 205, there was May, sitting happily with Drew by her side.
I felt my insides churn at the sight...
I deicided to leave, before I got mad. But just as I started to walk away...
"Paul!" That voice...
I turned to May. "Yes?"
"I saw you at almost all of my contests. Are you maybe a-"
"You're pathetic. Keeping track of me like that." I cut her off before she used the word 'stalker'. "I bet your boyfriend over here is jealous." I glanced at Drew, he had a rather... Surprised expression on his face.
With that out of my system, I stormed off.
...However, I soon wished I never did that. I wished I'd let her finish her sentance, maybe she didn't think I was a stalker. Maybe she thought I was a fan. I wish I didn't cut her off like that, and insult them both like that...
But what's done is done.
