Pushing the note under his pillow Draco let out a huff and turned over. His final thoughts before sleep descended were 'How do I just know that this puzzle will be the only thing on my mind for the next month?'. With that, he let the sandman finally come, bringing with him dreams of a gorgeous man and a big basket of perfectly ripened apples.

~~~~~~~~~
The morning was warm when Draco woke. Warmth spread through his chest as he sluggishly returned to reality. There wasn't a single thought that could break the warm spell surrounding his mind as he simply lay, curled up in his sheets. Memories and thoughts drifted through his mind without leaving a trace. The only one that could get through was, 'Mmm, I love you bed. Did you know that? You warm, beautiful, gorgeous bed'.
Today was a saturday and Draco had no intentions on leaving his bed anytime soon. Maybe later he'd go read by the lake but he was simply too content to leave his mass of blankets. Languidly, Draco rolled onto his stomach, stretching out his arms and back before wriggling his way back into the den of warmth. It was then that the memories of the mysterious letter came back to him. Draco's eyes shot open as he reached under his pillow and found the aforementioned letter.
'26 notes in 26 days, I'll get the next clue today!' With that thought, Draco was up and out of bed, dressing for the day. 'Besides,' Draco thought, 'I can get more things done in the day if I get up at 8'. Putting on a cozy, grey cashmere jumper and a pair of black slacks, Draco got ready for the day.
Down in the Slytherin common room Pansy and Blaise were just getting comfy with a book each to wait the next hour or two until they would get bored and find a new way to wake Draco up. Last saturday had Draco waking up to about 30 spiders made of ice crawling their way up his body.
Imagine their surprise however when Draco Malfoy, Ice prince of Slytherin to Hogwarts, Sleeping Beauty to the Slytherin students, walked out of his room at 8 o'clock on a saturday morning. There were quite a few wide eyes around the room. Slytherin's never were slack jawed (well maybe a few).
With a smirk Draco sauntered down the stairs, raising an eyebrow at his friends' shock.
"Yes…?" He drawled, smirking even more at their disgruntled faces at being caught staring gormlessly. With a huff Pansy pushed herself out of her seat to join Draco and Blaise on their way to get breakfast.
"So what has 'Sleeping Beauty' out of his tower this early in the morning? Could it be your knight in shining armour? Coming to woo his beloved prince by waxing poetically in swooning love letters?" She grinned unabashedly. The boys merely rolled their eyes at her dramatic performance.
"Be careful Pans' you might have someone thinking you're a muggle that's somehow gotten into the school and got lost. However did you get your parents to buy you that 'Grimm's book of faery tales'?" Pansy mock glared at the blonde.
"You know it's my darling good looks and delightful personality Drakey," Intentionally using Draco's hated nickname from childhood, " Besides, I'm not far off the mark am I?"
"Whatever Pans'." Draco replied, closing the conversation as the neared the Great Hall.
"So who do you think Mr. Tall-Dark-and-Mysterious is anyway? Did you get any clues?" Draco groaned internally at the barrage of questions, he knew awaited him in the next few days. Neither of his friends would shut up about this, he just knew it, they liked mysteries almost as much as he did. 'Thankfully I can just seek out Crabbe and Goyle if this pair get too bad,' He comforted himself 'They won't ask about the letter. Or pretty much anything else but food. Ah well, no rest for the wicked I see.'
"Really Pans' you think I know who the puzzle is after one letter. It's obvious that he wants to make a game of this. Why end the game before it's started. Besides, I'm only guessing that it's a man from his writing and the fact that it's not smothered in perfume like how the rest of you girls ruin your post with." Slowly making his way through his breakfast, Draco was constantly looking around to see when the owls would be arriving and thankfully for his poor nerves, he didn't have to wait long. Only 5 minutes after sitting down, about twenty five owls swooped in to the Great Hall to deliver their post, though many only carried the latest Daily Prophet. What Draco didn't notice though was that while he was staring at the owls above, trying to see which would come to him. A small white paper owl, appeared next to his plate. When all of the owls found their recipients, Draco looked down with a scowl, feeling like he'd been played. He had to fight to keep the grin off of his face however when he finally noticed the paper owl in front of him.
The owl was a simply shape, yet elegant , looking like a common barn owl. Surprisingly there was a small paper package tied to the claws. Carefully pulling the package off and putting it aside, Draco returned to the owl. After studying the crisp lines of the owl, Draco carefully pulled it out of shape to read the contents.
"B is for Books, your (large) guilty pleasure.'
Smirking simply at the fact that yes, Draco loved reading. While it was not a hugely secret fact, Draco smiled that someone had noticed him enough to realise just how much he loved books. Remembering the clues from the previous letter Draco tapped his wand three times on the letter and said 'B'. The original words faded out and new letters started to bleed onto the page.
'Dear Draco,
Another day another note. Are you interested yet? I think you got over most of your suspicions after you found the extra bit didn't you? I can't help but wonder how many books you actually have. I don't doubt that you have a library in Malfoy Manor. But aside from wishing you a good morning and an enjoyable day, I shall give you my second clue.
'B' is for Blackberries. A rather boring clue, I realise but I could never deny my favourite fruit. Those succulent gorgeous fruit. Though not as gorgeous as you. Mmm, I could just imagine you right now. Covered in delicious blackberries, I could just eat you up.
I do hope that I haven't scared you away but you really do have a simply delectable body. Before I finish this letter there was something I wanted to mention. Along with these 26 morsels of information, I've decided on adding in an occasional gift, pertaining to the letter of the day. I thought that today might be the perfect day to start. Simply open up the parcel.
Forever yours,
W~"
Draco stared down at the small paper box laying next to his plate. It wasn't much bigger than the head of his spoon. Mentally shrugging, while pocketing the letter, Draco unfolded the piece of paper expecting a short poem or something of the likes, but was pleasantly surprised when a very small book fell out onto the bench top. The book wasn't bigger than his top thumb pad. Quickly casting a 'Finite Incantatem' on the shrinking charm, he was suddenly holding a normal sized, thick book.
The cover of the book was a deep midnight blue, with a detailed gold border. In the centre of the cover stood a raven, a tribute to one of his most famous pieces. Above the raven was the title "Collected Poems" and below, "By Edgar Allen Poe". Just inside the cover a note stuck out.
'To Draco, I do hope you enjoy this book. With the author being a muggle, I didn't know if it would be one you owned, simply return it to me on the twenty seventh day or, when you figure out who I am. If not, enjoy, he is one of my most favourite authors. I do not, however, want you to feel obliged to indulge me once this puzzle is finished, simply for the gifts. They are yours to keep and are simply tokens from me. I do hope you enjoy what is to come.
W~
P.s, turn to page 286, "The Bells" is one of my favourites.
Draco sat back in shock. This person must really be serious, they've sent me a book, there are more gifts to come. Finally Draco allowed a small smile to grace his face. Not the usual one that came naturally with the 'Malfoy Mask' as his friends call it. But a true, heart-warming smile. That is, until he realised something.
'Oh merciful Merlin! Pansy was right! I really am being wooed!' With that slightly shocked thought, Draco stood, told Pansy and Blaise that he was going to read, and was not to be disturbed. He almost left but was stopped by a slightly disturbing smirk on the other boys' face. Rolling his eyes and smacking the back of his head. Draco walked off, muttering about perverts and single minded teenagers.
Settling down, Draco cast his eyes out across the lake. This place was beautiful. He'd never say it out loud but, he couldn't deny it in his head. Leaning back against his favourite tree, Draco pulled the book up onto his lap. Curious about what 'W' might have sent him, Draco ploughed right in, quickly getting absorbed into the nineteenth century Gothic literature.
The scene was perfect. 'W' sighed as he caught sight of the boy not too far from him. The sky was clear and a stunning light blue. The day was warm and the grass was kept. Seeing the blond boy, head down, sitting under an overhanging willow (though not a whomping one) on the slightly raised hill. Draco almost looked like an angel sitting there. 'W' couldn't resist the temptation. Quickly taking a photo before anyone could see, 'W' gave a warm smile and walked back into the castle to get on with his day.
