02.
He sighed at hearing all the racket from the phone. She was using her powers to extort money from the asshole of a boss of her's again. "Of course she'd do that," Logan growled, hearing the fake sobs, hearing Chelsea calling out to him as if he's dead.
Yep, uncle James, that was the disguise they came up with. Chelsea was supposedly his niece, Charles being her father (or was it grandfather? Fuck he can't even keep track of their lies anymore!) and he was the uncle.
Hearing a slight cough from the back of the limo, Logan glanced behind him to see the old Professor Xavier sleeping and of course the feral she-devil of a child (Okay she wasn't a she-devil, but she was feral) sitting in the back. Despite leaning up against Charles, he saw she was feigning sleep. $2500 dollars to escort her to a place that doesn't exist? Just what the fuck? Sure he's seen the videos, well half of them, but the nurse, the lady who had called Laura her daughter, the battery in her phone died and now he was waiting for Chelsea to come out.
"What the fuck is taking so long?" He growled. He almost wanted to dial her number again, but he saw her running out of the club, her duffle bag in hand. But…
Logan sighed, wanting to facepalm himself. Couldn't she have put some clothes on? Chelsea was still in her pole dancer wear, which was nothing more than what seemed like a one-piece leather outfit that showed plenty of skin, especially near the hips and he knew anyone that watched her up on stage would get a good view of her breasts…
Goddamn it! Now she got me thinking about-No, Logan! Get a fucking hold of yourself! Logan shifted uncomfortably and looked away as Chelsea walked up to his side of the limo instead of the passenger side.
She was even wearing fishnet stockings and it was obvious she wore some high heels with this outfit for she held the said heels in her hands.
Chelsea flashed one of those dazzling smiles (it was part of her stage persona, she was always testing out the flirty ways she could woo the crowd on him) as she leaned against the car door.
"Hey, there good lookin'-!"
"Just get your ass in the damn car."
"Aw, come on, don't be like that, Wolfman," Chelsea said with a giggle, fluttering her eyelashes at him.
Yep, she was trying her acts on him again. Normally he wouldn't mind but this was no time for games. Those Transigen assholes were after them-they were actually after the brat in the backseat but Logan had gotten himself into this mess and Caliban was as good as dead, and he needed to protect Chelsea and Charles as best as he could. Again Logan shifted uncomfortably, trying to hide an obvious boner in his pants.
Shit!
By some grace of whatever God existed, Charles gave a soft groan and opened his eyes, a smile gracing the 90-year old's face at seeing his daughter. "Hello, Chelsea."
Her father's raspy voice, so old and yet not so far gone, made the woman freeze in place. She slowly looked from Logan to the old man in the backseat.
"H-hi, daddy," Chelsea mumbled, giving a half smile. She then noticed the devil brat next to him. Brown eyes glared suspiciously at her. "Uh, Logan, what the hell's going on?"
there's that worried tone. Yep, Logan couldn't help feeling that same panic as Chelsea's powers started seeping out of her and into-
"Just get your ass in the car and I can explain," Logan ordered.
"R-right, wait, where's Cali?" She finally looked around for the white mutant that had been their friend and helper in taking care of her father. Logan watched as her lips pulled into a frown. Just why the fuck was he worried about her feelings? Being drawn in by the way she cared about others?
Because you used to care about others, in the same way, Logan. Came Charles' annoying yet comforting voice. Sometimes when he wasn't out of it, the former leader of the X-Men could project comforting thoughts and almost feel like the Charles Logan once knew.
Charles, stay the fuck out of my head! Logan thought grumpily. Though he knew his mentor and friend was right. There was a time when Logan would go out of his way and help people out (Well, when the X-Men needed him to help them save the world), and there was a time where he felt happy, at peace. But that was a long time ago.
