Chapter 2

Teddy was looking up at a woman with pink hair; next to her was a tired older looking man. He knew from pictures he had collected over the years that these were his parents. They both had smiles on their dirty war torn faces, and love in their eyes. "Oh Teddy look at how much you've grown" said Nymphadora. "You are the splitting image of your mother" Remus chimed in. At this Teddy's cheeks and hair turned pink and he turned away embarrassed. "Oh Remus look what you've done he's embarrassed" said Tonks. Turning to address Teddy she corrected his father's error "He meant to say you look like more of a metamorphamagus than a werewolf" joked Tonks. Teddy, finally feeling comfortable with his parents banter; ran up and tried to hug them he tripped and fell after funning through thin air. His anger from this fall combined with his anger at being abandoned and he raged at his parents. How could you, how could you die leaving me an orphan all alone in this world. "Why did you run into a battle you knew you alone couldn't win?"

"We died so that you could live in a world unburdened by darkness." Responded Remus in his ever so calm tone of voice. "Don't give me that shit, Harry had it under control you could have stayed." Raged Teddy. Tears were shedding down his face uncontrollably. Life without his parents had been hell and he wasn't sure he could reopen old wounds by seeing his dead parents.

His mother tried to wipe away his tears forgetting for a moment that she wasn't real. "We never wanted to hurt you" she told her son, hand still outstretched. "Well you didn't exactly succeed in that aspect" spat Teddy "Please son, forget your anger for a few moments and let us spend this short time as a family" Begged his father. "Why is time short?, I have the stone Harry is told me you are invisible to all others we could be a family." Asked teddy reluctant to let his parents leave.

Because holding onto the future means letting go of the past explained his parents before they disappeared leaving Teddy with bittersweet memories of two parents who gave everything to their son.
