Route 1, Hau'oli Outskirts
Trainer School
3 Years Later
(Takes Place After Pokémon Sun and Moon)
Elio is in class with Hiromi, Mia, Joey, and Joseph and is learning about status conditions.
Elio (Age 8): So paralysis halves a pokémon's speed and said pokémon has a 25% chance to break through it.
Ms. Emily Akagi (Teacher): Correct Elio. Seems like you take after your parents.
Elio: Thank you. (Smiling)
Joseph Kusanagi (Age 9): Hey Elio, maybe if you were at good at battling as you are at being a know-it-all, you wouldn't lose all the time. (Mockingly)
Ms. Akagi: Joseph!
Elio: So what if I can't battle like you do Joseph! I at least use strategy and don't act like a Psyduck.
Ms. Akagi: Elio!
Joseph: (Louder) Oh yea!
Elio: (As loud as Joseph) Yea!
Ms. Akagi: Boys! You know what we'll settle this at recess. Elio vs Joseph. Whoever loses has to stay after school and water ALL the plants for a week.
Elio and Joseph: FINE!
One Hour Later After Lunch
Ms. Akagi: (Slightly Scared) Have you boys chosen your pokemon?
Elio and Joseph: Yes.
Ms. Akagi: Ok. The battle between Elio and Joseph Kusanagi will shortly begin. It will be a 1v1 match with the battle ending after one pokémon faints. Got it?
Elio and Joseph: Yes Ms. Akagi.
Ms. Akagi: Alright, let the battle begin!
Joseph: Are you ready to be beaten again?
Elio: Yea right. You'll see that I'll win this time!
Joseph: Go! Rattata!
Elio: Go! Yungoos!
Ms. Akagi: Ready? GO!
Joseph: Rattata use Tackle!
Elio: Yungoos, Tackle!
The pokemon clash as they butt heads against each other.
Yungoos/Rattata: GRRR!
Joseph: Rattata retaliate with Fury Swipes!
Elio: Yungoos use Sand Attack to stop it!
Rattata rushes towards Yungoos as it turns around to toss sand at Rattata. Rattata Ssashes at the sand and hits Yungoos two times.
Elio: Yungoos are you okay?
Yungoos: Yun, goos, yungoos (Yes I'm fine).
Elio: Good, now hit 'em with Tackle!
Yungoos rushes forwards.
Joseph: Rattata, Bite!
Yungoos nears Rattata as Rattata tries for Bite but misses due to the Sand Attack. Yungoos slams into Rattata dealing major damage.
Joseph: Now that he's close use Bite one more time.
A white jaw forms around Rattata's own as it bites down on Yungoos. Yungoos is blown back from the attack as smoke starts to fill the air.
Elio: Yungoos are you okay, can you still fight?
Yungoos: Goos, yun, yun, goos (Don't worry about me).
Elio: Good then hit them with a Revenge
A red aura surrounds Yungoos as it prepares Revenge
Joseph: Rattata use Bite to stop it!
Yungoos slams into Rattata before it can attack and sends it flying across the field. The dust clears and Rattata is no longer moving.
Ms. Akagi: Rattata is unable to battle, Yungoos wins!
Elio: Yes!
Joseph: NOOOOO!
Ms. Akagi: Okay Joseph. Stay true to the deal.
