One last time.
If she tried one last time.
Look at him, Hermione! She commanded silently.
So she did. She really looked.
Harry was sat across from her at the Library. She'd agreed to let him copy her Charms homework (but what he'd do next year in his Charms N.E.W.T she had no clue) so she could get a good chance to look at him. A good last chance to see if she could make herself fall in love with him instead of Ron. Anyone instead of that red-haired skrewt!
She tried her best to notice things about him that she hadn't before.
His hair was black and completely untidy.
It could be a more interesting colour, I suppose. Like a red...
This was going to be more difficult than she thought.
They both head out of the library silently.
What had Ginny said she'd liked about him? That's it! His eyes!
Harry's eyes had been a common topic in her dorm for te past 2 years. About how they were brilliantly green and when you looked into them you were 'supposedly' meant to be able to see inside his soul.
But they didn't hold any interest in her. They reminded her of Slytherin. The green of the Avada Kedavra curse. She preffered blue eyes. Like Ron's eyes. Looking into them was like being lost at sea.
'Happily lost at sea.' She muttered.
''What?' Harry asked as they made their way inside the Common Room.
'Nothing.' She said dreamily, but seemed to lose her tone at the sight of a certain red-haired skrewt and his latest 'snatch', Lavender Brown, snogging in the corner.
'Absolutely ruddy nothing.' She said gloomily.
'Oh'.
