(A/N: Thanks to those who have decided to bear with me until the end of this story. I will be uploading every week in Sunday unless my exams get in the way)

Disclaimer: Ah! I wish that I had owned Harry Potter. But I don't. JK does. So, DON'T SUE ME.

Chapter 2

"Not to worry. We'll get it out."

The healer goblin guided Harry to another back room. This one was made up of entirely white marble. The room had a circular design in the floor. Instructing him to sit in the circle, the goblin went out of the room. When he returned 10 minutes later he was accompanied by seven hooded goblins. The hooded goblins moved to the corner of the room. And then began the chanting.

The words were certainly not English. Harry knew some Gobbledegook (goblin language) and was sure this wasn't it. Soon he was sure he could feel, no, see magic. The room was filled with a huge white aura. The chanting continued, as the colors shifted. White, green, blue etc. Finally it struck gold (the color) and Harry experienced pain. At first it was just a throb, but changed into a head splitting pain. Harry fell to ground screaming. The pain was certainly excruciating. But as suddenly the pain had come, it vanished. His head seemed lighter. Lifting his head he could see an elf sized projection lying beside him. One of the goblins waved their hands and the creature vanished from existence.

Finally gathering his strength, Harry stood up. The healer hurried him back to the hospital wing where he was fed a Pepper-Up Potion. Finally finding composure, Harry spoke.

"What was that?"

The goblin looked smug. "That was a Horcrux." Seeing the look of stupidity on Harry's face, he explained. "A Horcrux is a part of one soul imparted from one's body by killing someone. That particular Horcrux was possibly created on Halloween 1981 when the Killing Curse the Dark Lord used failed to kill you."

As Harry sat taking this in, Mr. Healer was ticking things of his list.

"Leech done, only magical blocks and malnourishment to go. However I do require to change the wards. So you are excused for an hour. Shoo."

Harry exited the hospital ward and headed towards Sharptooth's office. He was welcomed with a grin.

"Lord Potter, I was hoping you to join me. I have finalized your move as the Lord Potter Gryffindor Peverell Black. The world now recognizes you as the Lord of four Most Ancient and Noble Houses. Now you can visit your vaults." Before he had a chance to say anything though, he was in a cart on his way to visit the vaults. After a heck of a ride, Harry entered the Potter Main Vault.

The place had mountains of Galleons, sky heights of Sickles and Knuts. However as he moved to the back he could see a few bookcases full of books (what did you think, money?) as well as journals of his mom and dad and a few time turners.

"What in the world are these doing here?" Harry said pointing at the time turners.

"Your granddad was the inventor of the time turners before selling the patent. His work is leagues ahead of anyone."

Harry emerged from the vault with several books, his parent's journals, his family grimores, and the most powerful time turner. All the rest of the vault was pretty much the same until…

"Welcome to the Gryffindor Armory." Sharptooth playfully stated. Every inch of the place was decorated with swords, shields, armor and trophy.

"Paranoid much?" Harry asked. In the end he took a full set armor, a ruby plated sword and a diamond encrusted shield. His pockets were bulging with 1000 galleons and several others stuff. Harry swayed his way to the hospital and found Mr. Healer waiting for him.

"Mr. Potter. If you'll change into these." He handed him a set of hospital robes.

"Why?"

The goblin felt uneasy. "The damage in your body was to an unbelievable extent. We will require 2 months to fix that."

"2 months!" Hogwarts would start by then. He couldn't possibly stay that long.

"Not to worry. We have time manipulation charms here. 2 months translates into 24 hours."

Relaxed, Harry changed. He then lay in the nearby bed as the goblin began his healing. The magical blocks were first to go. There were five and all had the magical signature of Albus Dumbledore. The first blocked his Metamorphagus ability, the second his Animagus ability, the third did the same to his accidental magic, the fourth and fifth just weakened his magic. All of them had been placed before his 11th birthday. Maybe that's why he was so weak in school.

The goblin had not broken a sweat to remove the magical blocks but was sweating thinking about removing malnourishment. He was to drink one potion in the night, and two in the morning for two months to remove the malnourishment.

Had it not been for the books Harry would have be gone mad. The books were his only companions for the months. Harry quickly picked up his parent's journals. His father had two pre-Hogwarts, one for each year and his special notes on Transfiguration and DADA and detailed notes on their pranks and the Map. It was the same for his Mum only the notes were on Charms, Arithmancy and Ancient Runes. Lily also had copies of Magical Drafts and Potions and Advanced Potion Making which were scribbled with her notes and guides.

His Dad, how it pained him to say this, was a prat. He was constantly saying that Lily would be a great girlfriend. He was jealous of Snape and pulled several pranks on him. The man had every right to hate James.

It disgusted him to great extent that his Mum and Snape were best friends. She stood up for him. And her gift? Being called a 'filthy Mudblood'. Lily had cried all over her diary for that. It had fueled his hatred towards Snape further.

But Harry had thought that his parents would have never forgiven Snape. But they did. After graduation the Marauders plus Lily had met with him and talked. It would be a start of a new friendship. But Snape had vanished from the rest of the journals. Something, that Harry thought, had to do with Dumbledore.

Their notes were useful and good. His mum was a protégé in Charms and Runes, and his father was gifted (in his own way) in Transfiguration and DADA. Arithmancy was a little difficult, but matched computer binary coding (which Harry had picked up before). He decided to work harder on his studies to live up to the legacy of his parents.

His family grimore was helpful as it described his Family Magics. But The Magical Creatures and Their Magics by Charles Potterwas his favorite book. The book described all kinds of intelligent magical creatures and their magics (so says the title). It also helped Harry understand and master Gobbledegook, Mermish, Elvin, and Centurion. It also described the customs of the goblins, mermen, vampires, werewolves and centaurs. Harry had learnt it by heart.

Harry also practiced his Metamorph and Occlumency and Legimency abilities. He could change his hair and eye color, muscle tissues and his voice. He had twice broken in Mr. Healer, who had volunteered. He also did the Occlumens exercises. He still wasn't an Animagi but it was in his blood.

Two months went past in a breeze.

"Mr. Potter, ready to see yourself?" the healer teased. Harry hadn't seen a mirror in the last two months. As the healing would be done today he would finally see a non-physically abused and well fed version of himself. He slowly got up from the bed and moved over to the mirror.

Gardening and doing all the heavy works had suited Harry. For standing in front of him was a six foot man, with no scars of his previous life. His previous skinny frame was abolished. His body had been replaced by the muscular tones of an underweight boxer. The requirement of glasses was dropped too as Harry could see perfectly. Most importantly, he was not a copy of James Potter any more. Few of his mother's characteristics were present too.

"Congratulations, Mr. Potter. You are fit." Mr. Healer commented. He gave Harry his clothes which Harry changed into. Then Harry excused himself from the Hospital ward. Going outside Harry waved his wand and muttered, "Calendetta." Words floated in front of him. August 2, 1995. So Mr. Healer was right. 2 months were translated into 24 hours.

Making his way to Sharptooth's office he greeted in Gobbledegook, "May your gold flow as your enemies fall." In reply, "And may your gold be in good hands." However Sharptooth was looking at him funny. "Say where did you learn goblin culture?"

"You can learn everything from a book." Harry bit. Seating, he asked. "Was the process of transfer done?"

Sharptooth handed him a key. "Yes, Lord Potter. The move was successful. A new vault is established in the name of Hermione Granger."

"Can I have a quill, some ink and a parchment?" Taking the offered Harry wrote a letter.

Dear Hermione,

Hope you are fine. I miss you.

I have something to disclose to you. The key is the key to a vault in Gringotts containing 2000000 galleons. I know you don't want it but you may need it. Explanation on Hogwarts Express or when I meet you.

Don't spend it all on books.

Love,

Harry.

Folding the letter, Harry dropped it in a Gringotts envelope. He then gave it to Sharptooth and told him to deliver it.

"What are your plans?"

Harry looked grim. "Time Travel." A confused Sharptooth asked for an explanation which Harry declined. A few moments later Harry could be seeing leave Diagon Alley. He dropped into Muggle London and went in a deserted alley.

This was the most crucial part. Harry silently took out the time turner. Wearing it in his neck Harry spun the hourglass once. Suddenly the world went haywire. Everything flew backwards. Suddenly as it started it stopped. Harry touched the ground.

"Calendetta." August 2, 1994. He had done it. He went back in time. He went back one year.

Changing his hair blonde and his eyes blue he entered Diagon Alley. The Portkey shop was his destination.

"Hullo, sir. What can I get you?" the shopkeeper greeted.

"An International Portkey to Germany." Harry answered in a cold voice. "Someplace good for camping."

"When would it be activated?"

"1 hour from now."

Waving his wand here and there, the shopkeeper handed him an empty bottle.

"That will be 20 galleons." Harry handed him the money. "The activation code is 'Chudley's are losers'."

Harry exited the shop. He still had a lot to do.

Going in the camping shop, Harry bought an enlarged tent. It had a king sized bed, a dueling section, a workshop, a study and a very good kitchen equipped with enchanted Muggle technology.

Next he bought some decent clothes. Dudley's rags could now be burnt.

Then Harry stocked up to one year worth of livestock. He did need to eat. By the end of the shopping Harry had left only a 1000 galleons left.

"Tempus." 10:44. The Portkey would be activated at 10:45. He stood straight. All his things were shrunk and in his pocket. All that was needed to happen was to the clock struck 10:45. And it happened.

Taking out the empty bottle Harry recited, "Chudley's are losers." And with the familiar tug in the navel, Harry Potter disappeared from the Great Britain, not to be heard for a year.

Harry landed on some grassy land. The spot was covered by two mountains in the behind. The clear blue sky welcomed him as the rays of the sun smiled at him. This was a good spot, but not secure.

Standing up, Harry reached for his wand. He shot every privacy and security charm he knew (which was over 50) in a six meter radius circle. Now the spot was secure.
Harry took out his tent and placed it in the middle. Then he shot an Everlasting Fire Charm at a small spot. The spot burst into flames. Then, feeling hungry Harry decided to cook something up, which turned out to be chicken salad. He sat outside the tent watching the sun set, feeling this was the best idea ever. He could enjoy some privacy and freedom. He had run away, yet no one noticed it. This was perfect.

Later as Harry slept soundly for the first time in his life, a goblin rustled in his cave.

AN: Another Chapter finished. Hope you liked it. Please review on what you think. The next update will be on 3 March, 2019.

I'm in confusion. What should be Harry's Animagus? I've got four options:

Wolf

Big cat

Eagle

Snake

Review on what you think it should be. Most favors win.
