It had been two weeks since we had seen the hunter ship and the seas were a warm, clear blue. We had crossed into the southern oceans. We were no longer in our home territory. From the reports I had heard in the previous town we docked at, pirate ships had been seen here, along with the occasional pirate.

I scanned the the beach that was at least a mile away, carefully looking for a ship that I recognized. We couldn't enter the harbor with such a large ship and I sighed in frustration. This trip was getting worse, from the never ending sun burns that were still flaking down my back, to the pain in my ass of having to search for pirates.

"We're ready to go to shore, captain." Anette said, her voice slowly seeping into my angered mind.

"Alright Smiley, lets go." I grumbled, turning and jogging after her to the small boat we were taking to shore.

Our ship was going to be waiting to follow us when the time came. I didn't like the thought of leaving them behind. I had to remind myself that they were fully capable of handling themselves.

I shook off the feeling of sickness as I stepped onto the warm sand of the beach. It was white, smooth and trapped my boots in it's sinking grasp. We walked up the beach into the small seaside town. They had to have a bar. And when you find some rum, you're bound to find a pirate, or someone who knows where a pirate is.

"So, you comfortable here?" Anette asked, huffing slightly from her jog up to me.

"Nope." I replied, searching the faces of the people around me.

"Me either." She sighed, turning back to the crew mates., "Think we should change our clothes, fit in a little more?"

I paused, taking in a deep breath of the air, "I suppose it would be a good idea."

She nodded, turning to the small group we had brought to shore. Which was a slim total of four, including myself. I had to bring Whit Smith along, for one I would never hear the end of it, and he is our best pickpocket it was a good idea to bring him. I brought Anette, or smiley, because she is my second in command. Despite how much she annoyed the crew sometimes. And Bourne Crowder, or Immortal as we called him. Since he could always find a way out of a pinch. They were the best and brightest of my crew, and I knew I would need them for what we were about to do.

I pushed open the door of a shop, my eyes flitting around nervously as I approached the woman who was hustling and bustling around the clothing racks like a mouse. She froze when she spotted us. He eyes shifting nervously. I nodded in greeting. We as a group had decided to pay for the clothing, it wouldn't be the best idea to get charged with piracy this early in our journey. Whit had disagreed at first, until he pickpocketed some poor rich bastard outside of the parlor we had passed. He was then a little easier to convince, despite the scowl he gave me when I took the money away from him.

She stepped closer staring at our thick leather clothing pieces. I looked down at the artistically unique clothing we wore, the leather was making it unbearably hot. I was still against giving them up for the lighter clothing they wore here. They were a piece of us.

"Um, what would you like me to do for you?" She asked, her voice small, having a small english accent.
I gulped, handling people with kindness was not my specialty, "We would like to get some clothing, not too formal."

"And cheap." Whit grumbled, stepping beside me.

"Oh, yes, follow me." She squeaked happily, seemingly alright with us now.

I followed first the rest of my group falling in line behind me. She lead us to a back room, there were about six of them. She pushed me lightly into the first one, closing the thin sheet covering.

"I would like you to strip down, please?" The woman called, handing me a small wire basket through one end of the sheet, careful not to leave and opening.

I groaned inwardly. What was I going to do with my weapons. I reached my hand through the sheet. Feeling the faces, when I landed upon the hairless face I pulled the collar, making Anette step into the closet like space with me. Her face was red and I couldn't help but roll my eyes. I handed her the armful of weapons I had. She sighed, and started storing them in her own clothes. She nodded when she had them securely hidden and I pushed her back out of the room. I unstrapped the side tether and my shawl fell to the floor, exposing the thin brown undershirt I had been wearing. Next came the battle skirt I had, they were hemmed in chain mail that protected my outer thighs. The mail made a clicking sound as it hit the floor. I unbuckled the heavy duty boots I was wearing. The slipped out and I laid all my clothing in a pile, stripping my arm bracers off last. I felt about fifty pounds lighter and the wind chilled my skin to a comfortable temperature.

The bad part was I was nude. The woman stepped inside with a large bundle of clothing she had chosen. She held up a long poofy dress and a corset and I could feel my eyes widen. She took that as a no and chuckled lightly as she folded it over the curtain rod. She held up some lightly woven pants and I shrugged, she handed them to me and I put them on, lacing the leather belt at the top so they didn't fall off. I nodded, saying I was happy with the fit. She handed me a light blue cotton shirt, it had no sleeves and looked extremely comfortable. I tried to hide the amount of tattoos that laced their way up my shoulders and arms and down my back. I slipped the shirt on, it was loose and airy, and way to exposing. I folded my arms across my chest to prove a point. She chuckled as she handed me an armless leather piece. It laced up the front, and stopped at the end of my ribs.

"You're supposed to tuck the shirt." She chuckled as she stuffed my shirt into the belt of my pants."And this is going to be tight."

She proceeded to throw the leather chest piece on me. She had small delicate fingers, but the way she pulled the strings you would never believe she was as small as she was. She nodded as I groaned, I was still able to breathe, but my chest would be hurting for a while.

She nodded in approval as I stepped out of the closet. I could feel their eyes on me, in shock and in fear.

I pointed to Anette, and hooked my thumb to the room. She nodded as she passed of her weapons to me.
