"fine." Kwazii mumbled. Barnacles sighed and turned to face everyone else.
"after a little... confrontation a few minutes ago, we've decided to come out and tell you all." Barnacles said. "me and Kwazii have been dating for about six months." Barnacles said. Dashi giggled and clapped her hands jumpping up and down. Shellington looked crushed. Inkling smiled and Peso clapped. the Vegimals danced around. Barnacles held the nervous cats paw.
"oh you two are so cute together!" Dashi squealed snapping a picture.
"oy! thats awful bright!" Kwazii complained rubbing his eyes after the bright flash. Barnacles laughed and Kwazii shoved him. "jerk!" Kwazii hissed. Barnacles was holding his sides he was laughing so hard. "s'not funny! I can't see!" Kwazii exclaimed. Barnacles froze.
"Kwazii what do you mean you can't see?" Barnacles ask.
"I mean I can't see at all!" Kwazii said.
"Peso..." Barnacles said.
"I'm coming." Peso said. he checked Kwazii's eyes and shook his head. "get him to the med bay." Peso said. Barnacles tried to lead him.
"I can walk!" Kwazii said. he walked right into a wall. Kwazii fell down on to his butt. "what the hell?" Kwazii mumbled.
"there's a wall there." Barnacles said. Kwazii grunted at him and grumbled.
"I knew that." Kwazii said rubbing his nose. he managed to get up and turned away from the wall. he used his nose to find the door. "see I'm fine!" Kwazii said. he took a step and fell into the tunnel. "yeow!" Kwazii exclaimed. Barnacles shook his head.
"we'll meet you in the med bay Peso." Barnacles said and jumped down the tunnel. he got to the launch bay and Kwazii was sitting on the floor with his face in his hands. "whats wrong?" Barnacles ask.
"I can't see!" Kwazii exclaimed. Barnacles scooped him up.
"it's ok. Peso will fix your eyes." Barnacle said. Kwazii held on to his neck.
"I'm scared Bear. what if he can't?" Kwazii ask.
"he will." Barnacles said. "don't worry." Barnacles said.
*hours later*
"I had to put him under. he hit his head on something." Peso said.
"the faucet in the shower." Barnacles said. Peso raised an eyebrow.
"I don't want to know." Peso said. "anyway, the hit on the head caused his blindness, but I fixed it, it'll fade over a few hours or days." Peso said. "when he wakes up he'll be able to leave." Peso said. Kwazii groaned and sat up.
"Kwazii?" Barnacles ask. Kwazii looked dazed.
"oy where am I?" Kwazii mumbled.
"the med bay." Peso said. Kwazii jumped.
"wh-why can' I see?" Kwazii ask.
"that will fade away. in the course of a few days or hours." Peso said. Kwazii nodded. "you will have to stay in here untill it goes away." Peso added. Kwazii deflated. "no missions, no horseplay, and no sexual activites." Peso said. Kwazii stuck his tongue out at him.
"Bear?" Kwazii ask.
"i'm right here Zii." Barnacles said. he reached a paw out blindly and Barnacles grabed it. he gave Kwazii a reassuring squeaze and he could see Kwazii physically relaxe.
"y-yer not gonna leave are ye?" Kwazii ask nervously. Barnacles moved forward to hug him.
"no I'll be here as long as I can. if we've have a mission, though I may have to go." Barnacles said. Kwazii became extremely tense and his ears drooped nervoously. "but, Dashi has already offered to stay here and help you get around." Barnacles added. Kwazii relaxed slightly.
"I'm not going to throw you out Captain. you can stay untill he can see again." Peso smiled and left to give them time alone.
*3 weeks later*
Kwazii walked into the Medical bay. Peso was asleep at his desk. Kwazii felt bad doing this but he wanted to do this when nobody else was likely to walk in. he walked up and tapped Peso on the shoulder.
"Peso." Kwazii whispered. he shook him. "hey! Peso wake up!" Kwazii whispered louder. Peso jumped up and rubbed his eyes.
"Kwazii?" Peso ask.
"ay me hearty." Kwazii said.
"whats wrong?" Peso ask. Kwazii explained what was going in. he explained his nausea, weight gain, soreness, headache, moodswings, and swelling. "well, sit down I'll see if I can figure out whats wrong." Peso said. he did everything he could think of.
"so?" Kwazii ask. Peso shook his head.
"there's nothing wrong with you." Peso said. "your extremely healthy." Peso said. Kwazii looked shocked.
"ye don' jus' puke every mornin' for twenty-one days and not have nothin' wrong with ye." Kwazii said not believing. Peso's face suddenly darkened.
"when was the last time you and Captain did things?" Peso ask.
"um... two weeks ago." Kwazii shrugged. Peso smaked his forehead.
"ok how about... twenty-one days ago?" Peso ask. Kwazii thought a moment and nodded. "you have a parasite." Peso said.
"what?!" Kwazii exclaimed. Peso put a hand up.
"don't worry. it's very common." Peso said. "not so common in male's, but it is common." Peso said. Kwazii looked confused as Peso got up to get something out of the storage closet. "lay back." Peso said.
"ok." Kwazii said. Peso came back over.
"relaxe." Peso said. Kwazii tried and Peso ran the machine over his stomich. he smiled and turned the screen. "just as I thought. you need to tell the Captain. though it's too soon to tell how many..." Peso said.
"tell him what?" Kwazii ask. Peso turned the screen.
"he's going to be a father." Peso smiled. Kwazii eye's widened and he dropped. Peso jumped up and ran for Barnacles. Peso dragged him in here.
"Kwazii!" Barnacles exclaimed. Kwazii slowly came to.
"ugh." Kwazii mumbled. he sat up. "oy me head." Kwazii mumbled.
"Kwazii." Barnacles sighed in relief. Kwazii stiffened and faced Barnacles.
"wh-what are ye doing here?" Kwazii ask. Barnacles looked confused.
"Peso said you fainted." Barnacles said. Kwazii jumped away from him when he reached a hand to touch him.
"why?" Kwazii hissed. he turned and ran for his room.
"Kwa-Kwazii!" Barnacles exclaimed shocked. "whats that about?" Barnacles ask. Peso shook his head.
"I can't tell you. it's Kwazii's job, but he's just found out life changing news. give him a day or two." Peso said. he yawned and headed off to bed. Barnacles went after Kwazii. he searched his room but Kwazii, for once, wasn't there. he went to Kwazii's room.
"Kwazii. open the door." Barnacles said softly.
"no!" Kwazii replied.
"please? you know i'll use the code if I have to." Barnacles said. he heard shifting and the door opened. Barnacles walked in and Kwazii looked nervous, scared even. "Zii, what's wrong?" Barnacles ask. Kwazii looked nervous and began pacing. Barnacles tried to keep himself calm and not thinking of the worst, but he couldn't. he noticed Kwazii unconciously rest his paws on his stomich.
"I-I can'! ye'll leave! I can' lose ye!" Kwazii exclaimed. he was obviously under a lot of stress and he looked close to tears. Barnacles hugged him tightly.
"I won't leave Kwazii. no matter what it is." Barnacles said softly. Kwazii sighed and buried his face into Barnacles chest.
"in fourty-five days or about six weeks, ye won't be saying that." Kwazii said. he could feel his tears run down his fur.
"I'll always love you." Barnacles said. Kwazii pushed away aggravated.
"I'm pregnant okay! damn it! I'm pregnant and yer gonna leave!" Kwazii shouted. Barnacles was shocked at his sudden moodswing and his answer.
