Chapter 2- Camp and Anniversary

During the first day of camp, Tommy and his friends were going to be doing activities. They first went to archery, Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, and Dil were there with their bows and arrows ready. Chuckie was a little nervous because the last time he did this his arrow knocked down a hive and a swarm of angry bees came and stung him all over his face.

"Alright Chuckie remember to aim at the red dot this time, don't look anywhere but the target. Ok, aim and fire!" Tommy yelled and so they all released their arrows. Tommy, Phil, and Dil's all landed on the target but Chuckie's was nowhere to be found.

"Damn it, where did it go?" Chuckie sighed. Then Tommy looked and saw another swarm of angry bees heading towards them.

"Crap not again!" he shouted "What?" Chuckie asked. "Run!" Tommy shouted and they all ran away as fast as they could. "I have to bad at this darn game!" scolded Chuckie while running but then he tripped and instead of his face the bees stung him on the ass and when he tried to sit it hurt like hell.

"OW!" Chuckie screamed. "Nature is so cruel…" he whined.

"Yeah, not really." Kimi said and everybody laughed.

A few days later

It was time for the gang to go fishing in the creek but as soon as Tommy looked at the water he started to shiver with fear because of his previous experiences with water. Kimi noticed that her boyfriend was shivering and walked over to him.

"You ok?" she asked "Errr… Yeah, Yeah I'm cool." He said trying to hide his fear. "But weren't you shaking? Is something the matter?" Tommy looked at her "Kimi I'm fine don't worry about me." He said with annoyance in his voice.

"I'm only helping…" she said helping. Tommy looked in her puppy dog eyes.

"Aw, I can't stay mad at you." He said hugging her. "I won't argue with you I promise."

"I know you won't." She said getting the happy back in her voice.

"Come on you lovebirds or we're going without you!" shouted Lil. They both walked over to the wooden boat and the moment Tommy laid his eyes on it his eyes bugged out but he tried to hide his fear from the gang. The water looked very strong and it was freezing. While they were trying to find a safe spot to fish, the current was so strong that it bashed and crashed the boat all over which soaked the gang. The boat soon crashed into some rock and sent Tommy flying in the water.

"TOMMY!" they yelled. Tommy was trying to fight his way out of the water but he wasn't strong or brave enough. "HELP!" he shouted trying to stay above the water. The boat was stuck in the rocks and Tommy couldn't fight anymore.

"Go on without me I'm finished." He wheezed.

"No you're not!" said Kimi and she dived into the water and swam towards Tommy. When she caught up with him she wrapper her arms around him tightly and they both went flying down the river.

"Tommy! Kimi!" Chuckie shouted. "We'll get to land don't worry!" she yelled. Tommy had no answer he was out of breath. The couple held each other tightly and then Kimi grabbed a tree branch and pulled her and Tommy on land with all her might.

"Hang on Tommy!" yelled Kimi. She then started doing CPR on him and then he coughed out water. Kimi sighed in relief "Oh God I thought I lost you…" she said sadly but Tommy was more sad "What's wrong?" she asked.

"Kimi there's something you need to know" he said.

"Yes?" she asked curiously.

"Remember when you saw me nervous like hell back before we went in the water?" he asked and Kimi nodded her head yes. "It's because I'm afraid of water…"

Kimi gave him a sad look "Tommy I didn't know that when did that happen?" she asked.

Tommy took a deep breath "It all started when I was 3, my grandpa Lou took me fishing and we were having a lot of fun. I was playing around with a fish he just caught and then I slipped into the water and I nearly drowned. Thank God my grandpa saved me because if he didn't then I wouldn't be here right now." He said.

Kimi looked heartbroken but then smiled at him "I understand Tommy I'll help you through this." She said and he smiled .The both of them got up and started walking back to camp.

"You getting tired of Camp Everwood?" he asked her.

Kimi rolled her eyes "Yeah, I mean after that little event I think it's time to call it a day…"

"Well I do want to take you somewhere to finish our anniversary. After we get all packed up I'm taking you to the Royal Gardens Hotel in the next town. What do you say?" he asked.

"I would love to, and don't worry your little secret is safe with me." She said winking at him.

"And Chuckie too." He added. They soon reached their friends who were trying to get the boat out."

"Come on guys. We need to push the boat out." Said Phil." 1…2…3…Push!" he shouted and with all their might they tried to push the boat out. But since the wood on the boat was so rotten and old it smashed into pieces from the pressure and sank in the river.

"Great, just great…" grumbled Phil "How are we gonna explain this?"

Tommy and Kimi soon reached them "Guys!" yelled Dil as he waved over to them.

"What happened to the boat?" Kimi asked.

"The piece of shit was so rotted that it broke and sank in the river." Said Chuckie. Just then they heard a horrid sounding whistle.

"What was that?" said a scared Tommy. They all saw a hillbilly sailor paddling through the violent current in a large raft full of dynamite.

"Hiya fellers need some help?" he asked.

"Ummm yes?" said a confused Lil.

"Well hop on board, but be careful of the dynamite." So the gang climbed in and stayed careful of the dynamite and soon before they knew it they were back at camp.

"Here we are partners! See ya'll soon!" he said as he paddled away.

Later that night

The horrible play was taking place and the gang was thankful they weren't in it but they had to watch. Meanwhile in the cabin our favorite purple-haired couple was busy packing their bags for tomorrow. They then kissed passionately and then fell asleep in each other's arms.

The next morning

Kimi woke up and noticed that Tommy wasn't next to her "Tommy?" she yawned. Then she noticed that he was cooking breakfast in the makeshift kitchen and while doing so he was wearing the jumper that his grandma Lulu made him. It was blue with a big yellow T on it.

"Morning beautiful" he said with a smile on his face "I cooked you a little something. It's some fish that I caught earlier this morning." Kimi smiled and sat next to him near the fire. The fish was soon ready and they ate their breakfast when the others woke up. It was time for them to go back home to their regular jobs.

"Morning guys" said Tommy.

"Whew Tommy, what the heck did you guys cook?" asked Chuckie covering his nose.

"Just some fish." He said.

"Since we got our bags packed and sorted last night Chuckie can you drop me and Tommy off at the hotel?" asked Kimi.

"Yeah, sure sis" said Chuckie. So later on the gang left Camp Everwood and dropped Tommy and Kimi off at Shermanville which was a big country town where the Royal Gardens Hotel was at.

"Here we are you two, the Royal Gardens Hotel. Have fun and like always Pickles, no funny business!" he said sternly which made Tommy roll his eyes.

"Whatever… See you guys later." He said to his friends and they said the same back. Then Chuckie drove off for home.

"Finally just you and me." Said Tommy thankful "Your brother can be a real pain in the ass sometimes."

Kimi giggled "Well that's Chuckie for ya. Even if he can be over the top sometimes." They both laughed and went inside and walked up to the receptionist.

"Hi, we got a room for two under the name Tommy?" Tommy said.

"Ah yes, you must be Mr. and Mrs. Pickles." She said.

"Actually ma'am he's Mr. Pickles, I'm Miss Wattanabe-Finster." Kimi said.

"Oh my apologies. Anyways all the rooms are taken and we are going to have to move you to the honey moon suite." She said.

"Alrighty, thank you." Said Tommy happily. The receptionist gave them their key and they went up to their room on the top floor.

"We may not be honeymooners but at least we're getting the first experience from it." Said Tommy. Kimi giggled and kissed him on the cheek. Inside the room the walls were pink, the bed was in the shape of a heart and a bottle of champagne was sitting in a bucket of ice with a card saying 'Congratulations!'

Tommy and Kimi flopped on the bed. "I just got a simple room, didn't know we would get the honey moon suite." He said.

"It's okay I really like this room." Said Kimi "And besides, we are pretty much a couple." Tommy smiled at what she said. "Well I'm gonna go for a quick shower, don't open up the champagne yet!" she teased.

"I won't." he smiled.
