Chapter 2.

I woke to the peacefulness of the country the sound of the odd bird singing it was heaven compared to the noise of cars and people hustling about. Slowly climbing out of my comfortable bed I grabbed a dressing gown throwing it on as I went to open my curtains. Pulling back the blue material a loud gasp escaped my lips. A light snow covered the bare trees, the rolling hills in the distance and the ground like a warm blanket. It added to the beauty as everything had a sparkle to it. I could not help myself running down stairs pulling on my boots and gloves as I went out the door, and breathing in the Cold, clean almost minty fresh air. Touching the trees as I wandered around the yard towards the little dock at the lake, I had an unusual feeling of being watched. I gazed around me but saw nothing keeping an eye out as I went back inside the scent of scrambled eggs leading my nose. I sat down and happily ate, only realizing just how hungry I had been. I cleared up and asked "Hey dad could we go to Burgess today?" glancing up from the paper "Sure I have a job interview at 2pm so u have plenty of time to look around" heading upstairs to quickly wash and get dressed applying some mascara and I was ready just in time. Throwing on my coat and heading out to meet dad in the car we were off to the little town.
