AN: Surprised that someone even bother to read my work! If there were any spelling errors or grammatical mistakes please tell me, I've noticed a few already in Chapter 1 which I am about to go and fix! Also I prefer to write in first person, I'm just better at it although I like reading in third person better. This fanfic is really the first time I've written in third person so if it's kinda crappy I'm sorry.

In that moment Robin swore he couldn't breathe, there she was in a intimate hug with her dead lover. Well he wasn't so dead, was he? But there he was, his queen, his soulmate in another man's arms. He didn't know pain before this, the crippling grief that haunted him for years after Marain died was like a pin prick in comparison. His heart felt like that martini glass, shattered, with no chance of being fix.

He was supposed to be her second chance. She was supposed to be his second chance. They were each others second chance. And now even that was gone. It was over before it even began. It really was all about timing, wasn't it? So much for his happy ending. Her first chance and choice was here. What did that make him? Just a lover to fill the void that Daniel couldn't fill at the time?

Daniel, wasn't that how everything started? The dark curse, bringing them to Storybrooke? Hell without his death, Tinkerbell would have never lead her to the tavern. His death was the thing at brought them together, no matter how gory that sounded. If he was alive, Robin was certain he wouldn't stand a chance. The raven haired beauty had her happy ending back, she had no need for him.

The heartbreak is so painful, just standing took so much effort. His eyes pricked with unshed tears, when he got back to his camp he finally would allow himself to let everything out. Scooping Roland into his arms with little effort he makes his way out of the dinner. Just looking at display that was between Regina and Daniel was enough to crush is heart. No. He didn't have his heart, not after she waltzed into his life. He was the thief and she stole his heart, and even now, in someone else's arms, she still held it.

Standing outside of the dinner, hoping, wishing, praying that Regina would run out, promising him that it was nothing. That she was glad he was alive, but how he was her future, how they were going to build a life together. But that didn't seem t be in the cards for him.

"Papa? I thought we were going to have a sleepover with Gina and Henry." Roland's confusion and disappointment hit Robin hard, how was he supposed to explain a situation as delicate as it was-is? Barely holding himself together, he speaks having trouble steadying his voice "Gina is, she.." He tries to search for the right words, "Gina, she's rather busy right now. The sleepover is going to have to wait"

Roland only pouts in disappointment. Sighing Robin takes his son's little hand walking the distance back to their camp.

After putting Roland to bed, Robin trudges back to his tent feeling more lonely than ever. As much as he wished that things could go back to how they were, when life was simple. Just him and his son, before Regina came into the picture, before he realized what or who he was missing out on, before he knew how much better life could be with her in it. But he could never make that wish.

He could never regret meeting the queen, no matter how much pain it caused him. He loved her that much. He wouldn't even wish Daniel away, even if he took Regina away from him within a minute of being back from the dead. But he could never do that to her, his Regina, his soulmate, his happy ending. His happiness relied on her happiness, if she wasn't happy, he never could be.

He couldn't. He wouldn't. Not after everything she's been through. She deserved more than anyone a happy ending. Even if-as painful as it was to admit is-wasn't with him.

Robin, who laid awake in his sleeping bed finally lets all the emotions building up crash down upon him. He screams, cries, curses. He lost the only thing that would give him is happy ending. It was late, right around midnight, after hours of letting out the pent up anger and sadness, Robin finally gets up, grabbing a bottle of whiskey. God. Even now he couldn't escape her, everything reminded him of her. Even the whiskey he was holding, the liquid being the exact same shade as her eyes.

He sees the rest of his men, around a fire, all of them having a good time. Little John who saw a tired Robin walks over, promising to watch Roland. But before returning to liveliness by the fire he gives his best friend the leader of the Merry Men a piece of advice. "Love is something that two people work on and make it better and better each day, you never give up on that person that you love. You haven't lost her yet"

In any other situation Robin would wonder when Little John became so wise but now, nothing feels right, just breathing feels like the biggest burden. He shakes his head telling his friend "Yes I have. I'm in love with someone I can't have"

Robin walks away after that, taking a long swig of whiskey, ready to get unbelievably drunk, hopefully that would stop the pain, even if it was for a little while. He needed it more than he cared to admit.

"We should talk" She tells him, he didn't quite know what had happened after his death. Hell, Regina wasn't even sure he knew that we died. Daniel's eyes flicker with worry but nods nonetheless. She drags him over to the booth that she and Robin were just sitting at. Robin. Regina made a mental note to find him. They needed to talk and she needed to think.

AN: Yay! Lifted it at a bit of a cliffhanger just to keep you guys wanting more! I'm going to try to update daily if I can but if not at least three or four times a week. However some people like updates in different ways. Some people like one big long update once a week, however some people like shorter but multiple updates every week. I'll do it either way. My chapters usually range (In my past of writing online) from 1,000 words to 5,000 words but it depends on the day and my mood. Anyway hope you enjoyed!
