The Soul
All magic energy originates from the soul, as does divinity, demon, holy, and other such characteristics. First of all, the soul has several parts, which are the Soul (Energy) in which energy is stored and is used as fuel for actions and to sustain the soul. Next is the Nucleic Heart, which produces the energy and controls the soul's activities. If the soul doesn't have enough energy it will die and move to Underworlds or Akasha. The sole exception is the Outer Gods, who exist at a fundamentally different level of existence, as they can produce magic energy if they want, but they don't really need to, and they can also create souls easily. In reality, there is something deeper than a soul that all have, but it can't be interacted with by anyone save Rimuru. The soul is immune to time control, so if time is reversed, the new timeline overwrites the old timeline in the soul, and the old timeline is normally sealed away, but it can be remembered.
Normally, souls must have a container, and is usually anchored to the container by the heart and brain, which update themselves to reflect the condition of the soul. The anchors may change, however, such as by creating horcruxes to anchor the soul. Also, the soul cannot normally exist outside of a physical medium without being damaged or dying, but a Spiritual Being is a being that can exist as pure soul, without the need to appear with a physical medium. Ghosts and wraiths are unstable souls that can interact with the world by anchoring themselves to a place, however, this is usually very fragile.

Alchemy
Common aims were chrysopoeia (transmutation of "base metals" that are common into "noble metals) the creation of an elixir of immortality; the creation of panaceas able to cure any disease; and the development of an alkahest, (universal solvent).[3] The perfection of the human body and soul was thought to permit or result from the alchemical magnum opus and the achievement of gnosis
Magnum Opus is transmutation of the first matter into a philosopher's stone, in other words, the soul. Nigredo, a blackening or melanosis. albedo, a whitening or leucosis. citrinitas, a yellowing or xanthosis. rubedo, a reddening, purpling, or io
FMA
ancient metaphysical science/mystical art of manipulating and altering matter by using natural energy. proper application of this craft requires not only a full understanding of chemistry and ancient alchemical theory, but also a sort of natural talent towards recognizing and manipulating the physical objects with energy, which require uncommon levels of intelligence and aptitude.
There are many paths by which alchemists can transmute the various substances of the world, with some alchemists being said to transmute by way of the Four Classical Elements (Water, Earth, Fire and Air) and some by way of the Three Essential Principles (salt, sulfur and mercury), but the basic tenet at the very foundation of all alchemy is that of Equivalent Exchange.
subject to certain laws and limitations, all of which fall under the concept of Equivalent Exchange (等価交換 Tōka Kōkan): "In order to obtain or create something, something of equal value must be lost or destroyed."
The Law of Conservation of Mass, which states that energy and matter can neither be created from nothing nor destroyed to the point of elemental nonexistence
The Law of Natural Providence, which states that an object or material made of a particular substance or element can only be transmuted into another object with the same basic makeup and properties of that initial material
When too much is attempted out of too little, what occurs is called a Rebound, in which the alchemical forces that are thrown out of balance on either side of the equation fluctuate wildly of their own accord in order to stabilize themselves - taking or giving more than was intended in often unpredictable and catastrophic ways such as accidental mutation, serious injury, or death.
A symbol called a Transmutation Circle (錬成陣, Renseijin) is necessary. All Transmutation Circles are made up of two parts: The circle itself is a conduit which focuses and dictates the flow of power, tapping into the energies that already exist within the earth and matter. It represents the cyclical flow of the world's energies and phenomena and turns that power to manipulable ends.
Inside the circle are specific alchemical runes. These runes vary widely based on ancient alchemical studies, texts and experimentation, but correspond to a different form of energy, allowing the energy that is focused within the circle to be released in the way most conducive to the alchemist's desired effect. In basic alchemy, these runes will often take the form of triangles (which, when positioned differently, can represent the elements of either water, earth, fire or air), but will often be composed of varying polygons built from different triangles. For example: the hexagram is a commonly used base rune in Transmutation Circles because it creates eight multi-directional triangles when inscribed and can therefore represent all four classical elements at once. Other, more esoteric runes (including astrological symbols, symbolic images and varying lines of text) are prevalent and represent a multitude of other, specific functions for the alchemical energy that is released.
Transmutation" (錬成 Rensei) and its sequence is usually described as:
Comprehension - Understanding the inherent structure and properties of the atomic or molecular makeup of a particular material to be transmuted, including the flow and balance of potential and kinetic energy within.
Deconstruction - Using energy to break down the physical structure of the identified material into a more malleable state so as to be easily reshaped into a new form.
Reconstruction - Continuing the flow of energy so as to reform the material into a new shape.
Budou (Martial Way)
Budo and bujutsu have quite a delicate difference; whereas bujutsu only gives attention to the physical part of fighting (how to best defeat an enemy), budo also gives attention to the mind and how one should develop oneself. Techniques practised vs. way of life
Reduced Earth
Reduced Earth is a technique to cut down the distance between opponents instantly. Many martial arts masters have pursue the extremity of Step Movements in martial arts. Rather than a simple quickness, there are numerous phenomena that are connected with each other and are completed with walking, body movement, breathing, blind spots, etc. The highest grade beyond A-Rank becomes a long dimension leap technique and it would be in the category of Sage Techniques
Judou
objective is to either throw or takedown an opponent to the ground, immobilize or otherwise subdue an opponent with a pin, or force an opponent to submit with a joint lock or a choke. Strikes and thrusts by hands and feet as well as weapons defenses are a part of judo, but only in pre-arranged forms (kata, 形) and are not allowed in judo competition or free practice (randori, 乱取り). A judo practitioner is called a judoka.

Funakoshi believed that one should be "inwardly humble and outwardly gentle."
Aikido
"the way of unifying (with) life energy"[1] or as "the way of harmonious spirit". defend themselves while also protecting their attacker from injury.[3][4]
Aikido's techniques include: irimi (entering), and tenkan (turning) movements (that redirect the opponent's attack momentum), various types of throws and joint locks.[5] Way of combining forces", in that the term aiki refers to the martial arts principle or tactic of blending with an attacker's movements for the purpose of controlling their actions with minimal effort.[7] One applies aiki by understanding the rhythm and intent of the attacker to find the optimal position and timing to apply a counter-technique.
Shorinji Kenpo
It is said to be as a religious gyō among pupils. According to the Buddhist doctrine, the spirit and fleshly body are inseparable. By practicing Shorinji Kempo techniques and learning its philosophy, it is believed to develop a firm body like a pair of standing Vajradhara (金剛神: Kongō-shin or 金剛力士 Kongō-rikishi) and the never-give-up spirit of Bodhidharma (菩提達磨: Bodai-daruma).
Karate
Philosophy
The ultimate aim of Karate lies not in victory or defeat, but in the perfection of the character of its participants. performance of the kata should reflect boldness and confidence. This seemingly paradoxical combination of boldness and gentleness leads ultimately to harmony. Aiki joining energies with the partner and using it in combat. Kiai fighting spirit for proper breathing as well as debilitating or distracting the enemy. hard method (剛法 gōhō), and the other is the soft method (柔法 jūhō). Implicit in these concepts is their separate but equal and interrelated nature, in keeping with their philosophical relationship to the Chinese principles of yin and yang.

Bajiquan
explosive, short-range power and is famous for its elbow and shoulder strikes. opens the opponent's arms forcibly, and attacks at high, mid, and low levels of the body, focuses on elbow, knee, shoulder and hip strikes
six Major Characteristic Powers are Sinking, Thrusting, Extending, Entangling, Cross, Inch; six big ways of opening, Ding - fist, elbow or shoulder to push forward and upward, Bao - arms together as if hugging someone, then splitting, Ti - Elevating the knee/foot to hit, Dan - Using a single movement, Kua - Using the hip, Chan - entanglement with rotation around the wrist, elbow and shoulder
Forms/Stepping/Body Movements
Major features of baji include elbow strikes, arm/fist punches, hip checks and strikes with the shoulder. All techniques are executed with a short power, developed through training; among Chinese martial artists, baji is known for its fast movements. Baji focuses on infighting, entering from a longer range with a distinctive charging step. essence of baji quan lies in jin, or power-issuing methods, particularly fa jing. bulk of the damage is dealt through the momentary acceleration that travels up from the waist to the limb and further magnified by the charging step known as zhen jiao

A slower type of dance is the Jo No Mai, ghost of a noble woman, a spirit or deity. Otoko Mai, does not wear a mask in this dance and is portraying the character as being heroic. Another male dance is Kami Mai, where the dancer acts as though he is a deity. This is a very fast dance. The female version of this would be Kagura and can be performed in various ways. Gaku is a dance that is imitates music played by the imperial court and is usually done by the main character Jo ha Kyuu concept of modulation and movement. translated to "beginning, break, rapid", it essentially means that all actions or efforts should begin slowly, speed up, and then end swiftly.
The Book of Five Rings - technical flourishes are excessive, and contrasts worrying about such things with the principle that all technique is simply a method of cutting down one's opponent. Musashi describes and advocates a two-sword fencing style (nitōjutsu): that is, wielding both katana and wakizashi, contrary to the more traditional method of wielding the katana two-handed. Some suggest that Musashi's meaning was not so much wielding two swords "simultaneously", but rather acquiring the proficiency to (singly) wield either sword in either hand as the need arose.[citation needed] However, Musashi states within the volume that one should train with a long sword in each hand, thereby training the body and improving one's ability to use two blades simultaneously. The Book of Earth chapter serves as an introduction, and metaphorically discusses martial arts, leadership, and training as building a house. The Book of Water chapter describes Musashi's style, Ni-ten ichi-ryu, or "Two Heavens, One Style". It describes some basic technique and fundamental principles. The Book of Fire chapter refers to the heat of battle, and discusses matters such as different types of timing. The Book of Wind chapter is something of a pun, since the Japanese character can mean both "wind" and "style" (e.g., of martial arts). It discusses what Musashi considers to be the failings of various contemporary schools of sword fighting. The Book of the Void chapter is a short epilogue, describing, in more esoteric terms, Musashi's probably Zen-influenced thoughts on consciousness and the correct mindset. wiki/The_Book_of_Five_Rings
Archery
Kyūdōka: Master of Archery Kyūjutsu: Archery Techniques
Supreme goal of kyūdō is the state of shin-zen-bi, roughly "truth-goodness-beauty",[6] which can be approximated as: when archers shoot correctly (i.e. truthfully) with virtuous spirit and attitude toward all persons and all things which relate to kyūdō (i.e. with goodness), beautiful shooting is realised naturally.
moral and spiritual development seisha seichū, "correct shooting is correct hitting". In kyūdō the unique action of expansion (nobiai) that results in a natural release, is sought. When the technique of the shooting is correct the result is that the arrow hits the target. To give oneself completely to the shooting is the spiritual goal, achieved by perfection of both the spirit and shooting technique leading to munen musō, "no thoughts, no illusions". This however is not Zen, although Japanese bow can be used in Zen-practice or kyūdō practised by a Zen master.
Kyuudou Practice (geiko):
mitori geiko – receiving with the eyes the style and technique of advanced archer,
kufū geiko – learning + keeping in mind details of technique and spiritual effort to realize it
kazu geiko – repetition through which technique is personified in one's own shooting
3 Skill Levels
Tōteki, the arrow hits the target.
Kanteki, the arrow pierces the target.
Zaiteki, the arrow exists in the target.
Hassetsu Archery Style
Ashibumi, placing the footing. The archer steps onto the line from where arrows are shot (known as the shai) and turns to face the kamiza, so that the left side of the archer's body faces the target. The archer then sights from the target to the feet and with the feet set apart so that the distance between them is equal to the archer's yazuka, about half his body height, and equal to the length of an arrow. A line drawn between the archer's toes should pass through the target after the completion of the ashibumi. During competition, an archer may have a second set of arrows sitting on the ground at the feet. To be correct in ashibumi, these arrows must not extend in front of or behind the archer's footing stance. The archer's feet are then placed outward at a 60 degree angle from each other, forming a "V", this ensures equal balance to both feet.
Dozukuri, forming the body. The archer verifies balance and that the pelvis and the line between the shoulders are parallel to the line set up during ashibumi. During dozukuri, the kyūdōka will straighten the back and posture, forming a straight line from shoulders to feet. Practically this is to prevent the bowstring from striking the archer's face when shooting.
Yugamae, readying the bow. Yugamae consists of three phases:
Torikake, gripping of the bowstring with the right hand.
Tenouchi, the left hand is positioned for shooting on the bow's grip.
Monomi, the archer turns the head to gaze at the target.
Uchiokoshi, raising the bow above the head to prepare for the draw.
Hikiwake, drawing apart. The archer starts bringing down the bow while spreading his arms, simultaneously pushing the bow with the left hand and drawing the string with the right.
Daisan, Big three. This forms the midway point in Hikiwake.
Kai, the full draw. The archer continues the movement started in the previous phase, until full draw is achieved with the arrow placed slightly below the cheekbone or level with the mouth. The arrow points along the line set up during ashibumi.
Tsumeai, constructing the vertical and horizontal lines of the body.
Nobiai, uniting the expansions of the body.
Hanare, the release. The technique results in the bowstring being released from the right hand and the right arm extending behind the archer.
Zanshin, "the remaining body or mind" or "the continuation of the shot". The archer remains in the position reached after hanare while returning from the state of concentration associated with the shot. intended to reflect the higher meaning of zanshin, which is a mental aspect maintained before, during, and after an action.
Yudaoshi, lowering of the bow.

Onmyōji were specialists in magic and divination. Their court responsibilities ranged from tasks such as keeping track of the calendar, to mystical duties such as divination and protection of the capital from evil spirits. They could divine auspicious or harmful influences in the earth, and were instrumental in the moving of capitals. It is said that an onmyōji could also summon and control shikigami.
Li
(Traditional Chinese: 力) refers to the more elementary use of tangible physical (or "external") force, such as that produced by muscles.
Neijing
(內勁), refer to "internal" forces produced via advanced mental control over (the qi). The "pivot point" essential to Li combat is not necessary in Neijing. At the point of attack, one must 'song' (loosen) himself to generate all Neijing energy one possesses and direct this energy stream through one's contact point with an opponent. The contact point only represents the gateway to conduct Neijing energy at the point of attack. song' can function as a verb which means to keep one's mind and body loose resilient and expanding like the consistency of cotton or clouds or relaxed yet concentrated like the sharp alertness of cats immediately before attack.[8] The term can also be used as an adjective which has the same meaning as described above. The greater the extent one can achieve 'song' and minimize the use of Li, the greater the release of Neijing force. awareness of the spirit, mind, qi ("energy") and the use of relaxed (sōng 鬆) leverage
goal is to learn to involve the entire body in every motion, to stay relaxed, with deep, controlled breathing, and to coordinate the motions of the body and the breathing accurately according to the dictates of the forms while maintaining perfect balance.
Neigong
set of Chinese breathing, meditation and spiritual practice disciplines associated with Daoism and especially the Chinese martial arts.
Meditation: require concentration and internal reflection which results in a heightened self-awareness that increases over time with continued practice. Neigong practitioners report awareness of the mechanics of their blood circulation, peristalsis, muscular movement, skeletal alignment, balance, etc.
Jing 精

Qi 氣
"vitality, energy, force; air, vapor; breath; spirit, vigor; attitude" natural energy of the universe and manifests in everyone and everything. By means of internal alchemy, Taoists strive to obtain a positive flow of qi through the body in paths moving to each individual organ
Shen 神
"spirit; soul, mind; god, deity; supernatural being" Original spirit of the person.
Taiji
Supreme Ultimate" state of undifferentiated absolute and infinite potential, the oneness before duality, from which Yin and Yang originate, can be compared with the old Wuji (Ultimate, boundless, infinite)
The "supreme ultimate" creates yang and yin: movement generates yang; when its activity reaches its limit, it becomes tranquil. Through tranquility the supreme ultimate generates yin. When tranquility has reached its limit, there is a return to movement. Movement and tranquility, in alternation, become each the source of the other. The distinction between the yin and yang is determined and the two forms (that is, the yin and yang) stand revealed. By the transformations of the yang and the union of the yin, the 5 elements (Qi) of water, fire, wood, metal and earth are produced. These 5 Qi become diffused, which creates harmony. Once there is harmony the 4 seasons can occur. Yin and yang produced all things, and these in their turn produce and reproduce, this makes these processes never ending
Qigong
Goal is to cultivate and balance qi. allows access to higher realms of awareness, awakens one's "true nature", and helps develop human potential.
Practice typically involves moving meditation, coordinating slow flowing movement, deep rhythmic breathing, and calm meditative state of mind. still the mind and enter a state of consciousness that brings serenity, clarity, and bliss.
Coordinate body (調身), breath (調息), and mind (調心) based on Chinese philosophy.
Classification 1) dynamic or active qigong (dong gong), with slow flowing movement; and 2) meditative or passive qigong (jing gong), with still positions and inner movement of the breath. From a therapeutic perspective, qigong can be classified into two systems: 1) internal qigong, which focuses on self-care and self-cultivation, and; 2) external qigong, which involves treatment by a therapist who directs or transmits qi.
Basic Principles
Intentional movement: careful, flowing balanced style
Rhythmic breathing: slow, deep, coordinated with fluid movement
Awareness: calm, focused meditative state
Visualization: of qi flow, philosophical tenets, aesthetics
Chanting/Sound: use of sound as a focal point
Softness: soft gaze, expressionless face
Solid Stance: firm footing, erect spine
Relaxation: relaxed muscles, slightly bent joints
Balance and Counterbalance: motion over the center of gravity
Equanimity: more fluid, more relaxed
Tranquility: empty mind, high awareness
Stillness: smaller and smaller movements, eventually to complete stillness
The most advanced practice is generally considered to be with little or no motion.
Xianxia
attempt to cultivate to immortality, seeking eternal life and the pinnacle of strength
to cultivate", is a Taoist concept by which humans can extend their lifespan through practicing a set of martial and mystical arts involving meditation and the cultivation of Qi. In many novels, the ultimate goal of cultivation is to become an immortal or attain godhood. The "Cultivating Method" could comprise martial arts, Buddhism, or Taoism depending on the doctrine of different religions.

Magic
The activation of magecraft from an established school requires following a strict set of protocol, one step of which is spellcasting. When compared to the application process of a document, the act of application, acceptance, review, and issuance, spellcasting is the application step of magecraft. It is mostly a convention when utilizing magecraft with a broad foundation, but it has potent self-suggestive powers for those who practice their own style of magecraft. As the Magic Circuits that shape magecraft already exist inside a magus' body, incantations are the "personal adage" that help the magi transform themselves, a method to efficiently activate and mobilize the Magic Circuits.
Spellcasting (呪文詠唱, Jumon Eishō?) is not a method used to speak to the World, but to oneself. Different magi will utilize different incantations even for the same spell due to their distinct natures. Spells that speak to the World, classified as Grand Spells or Grand Rituals, and not to the individual are impossible for an individual to use under normal circumstances.
A Thaumaturgical Foundation (魔術基盤, Majutsu Kiban?) is a Thaumaturgical Theory (魔術理論, Majutsu Riron?) "engraved" upon the World in the form of scholarship or religion ─ a body of pre-established rules, fomented per the faith of the populace. It is also called a Greater Magic Formula (大魔術式, Dai Majutsu Shiki?) as a cluster of Magic Formulae (魔術式, Majutsu Shiki?), each of which runs a Magecraft(program) written within it when Mage send commands through their Magic Circuits to it.[6] In other words, Foundations are necessary for the usage of Magecraft.
Resistance (抗魔力, Kōmaryoku?), a power inherent of anyone with Magic Circuits, the capacity to resist spells which aim to control the target by the spiritual medium (those among the lines of sleep, paralysis and coercion). By circulating magical energy inside his Circuits, one can reject outside magical energy that tries to invade his/her self. Therefore, it is possible to disrupt a spell before it can complete itself. A very efficient form of defense, it makes it difficult to affect even lesser magi. Also, those who are not Magi but still possess Magic Circuits may unconsciously protect themselves like this. Because of it, most magi use spells capable of physical interference rather than just spiritual ones. However, what is being rejected is the magical energy, spell itself is not nullified. A spell that has already been completed and is manifesting its effects cannot be cancelled like this.
Breathing and Walking (呼吸・歩法, Kokyū Hohō?) is a key concept in Magecraft and Martial Arts. Though mainly affects one's physical fitness, it also plays a role in the strength of nature interference. The absorption of outer energy (breath of life) to connect your inner world to the outer world. The acts of inspiring, expiring and everything in between are part of a process that allows one to take in or release the gods. The Magi use incantation spells to cause a specific phenomenon to occur, but those whose breathing, movement, body and very existence can cause nature interference are beyond that. An example would be the Shinto practice of banishing evil spirits and other unnatural forces by just clapping. However, this particular skill is something that takes a lifetime to learn.
Consecration , is the process of identification of a person's Elemental Affinity through the use of sage, tarot cards and personality tests.
Houjutsushi (法術師, Hōjutsushi?) - Those who exorcise spirits through Sūtra, prayers and faith. The ones who achieved true enlightenment can draw upon the power of supernatural entities to perform miracles, but those with insufficient training have to fill the gap by adding their own power, just like the Western magi do. In Japan, there is a very secretive organization of Houjutsushi. Currently none of the monks of Ryuudou Temple are Houjutsushi, but there were a small number of them in the past.
Incantations
In Slime Dreams, incantations will only be usable with Spirit magic, as it consists of using chants and magic circles, formulae, and other such symbolism to channel spirit magic and connect to the world spirit, and thus have the world activate magic by providing instructions of what it wants done. For example, there is status check magic, which gets the world to display a status.
Magecraft
Memory Partition
Paired with Thought Acceleration, the very proof that one is an Atlas alchemist, it is the ability to partition their thoughts to form multiple independent thought processes. While normal people can only have a single "room" in their brain and focus on one thought, partitioning adds partitions to the one room to create multiple rooms. It is different than having multiple independent machines in their heads because, while there are multiple processes, they work toward one goal. They manage different problem sets, but work together to generate one overall solution. While machines can calculate on the same level, nothing else compares when used for problem solving. The limit of an average alchemist is one thought into multiple rooms, but superior alchemists can perform first−order tetration of their thought into rooms. The rooms are synergistic, so four partitions allows for 256 thought processes. As they work towards one goal, it does not allow for 256 separate calculations. Sion uses it to calculate the opponents movements in battle, think out multiple separate ideas at once, and calculate data she gathers.
