WORLD OF REMNANT DAWN: MITSUKI CLAN
We all know what happens next. Humanity recovered from extinction. But the God of Light wanted a specific group alive and resurrected them specifically…...the Mitsuki family. During the United Empire Civil War in ancient times, they were the only ones who instead of fighting amongst each other they fled and helped those in need. That's why he chose them. With no knowledge of the past and only knowing their name, the Mitsuki family started to build a village along with other people within Anima. The Mitsuki family then started calling themselves a clan due to their difference to other humans. They then separated themselves from everyone else but they didn't viewed themselves superior; they only wanted to keep the bloodline. Nevertheless, Mitsuki or not together they lived in peace…...until a new discovery changed everything.
Dust….. humans around the world started using dust for everything. Whether its a power source for cities or an enhancement in combat. However, the Mitsuki clan refuses to use dust in a fight creating tension with the people they live along side with. Even when the Mitsuki clan does have Aura and manipulate elements, another difference in power was semblance. Everyone started to view themselves superior over the Mitsuki clan and started to compare them to the Faunus. Before conflict between the Mitsuki clan and other humans could erupt, every Mitsuki member evacuated and fled never to return again.
During this time, the Mitsuki clan had to camp out in the wild and fight to survive. They hunt for food, fought bandits and even the Grimm's, and greatly started to decline in numbers. The clan leader, Shikaku, ordered to search any ruins for answer of who they are and were in the past before them as well as suitable shelter. One ruin after another there was no luck and the clan started become very desperate to survive and that only attracted more Grimm's. However, during a fight against some bandits trying to take their ruined fortress for shelter, a man by the name of Hajime stumbled upon an old flag their own crest on it. After the fight, Hajime quickly return to the camp reported his finding. The clan packed up and left for the ruins and searched the whole thing for answers. Hajime finds the generals quarters and searched it finding a letter along with a map. He reads it and was surprised of what he read. Hajime then takes it to the clan leader and was shocked. The letter was from King Shu of the Yamato Empire and it was for any survivors of the empire. Along with the map it showed where the capital city is located and was instructed to go there.
After a day of rest, the clan immediately started their expedition to the city that was the old empires capital in which they were once a part of. They traveled West leaving Anima and arriving in Sanus where the Kingdom of Vale and Vacuo is located at. Weeks has gone by and finally they arrive to what they claimed to be their new home. As they started to rebuild the place they were visited by the king of Vale. Since the city was within in Vales borders, the king went to investigate the large group of migrants that entered his lands. However, he wanted to negotiate. He offered The city along with the Southwestern region in exchanged for the Mitsuki clans support in the Great War that has been going on for years already. For the sake of his clan, Shikaku agreed to the terms and began to train and gather as many as he could. He even allowed women to fight but only volunteers. During a night attack from Mantle and Mistral, Shikaku died and the Grimm's were closing in behind Allied lines. This caused Hajime to become desperate to save his men and has done something nobody thought was possible. He used the power of light. A power only known to the god of light himself. Instantly killing all the Grimm and blinding his other enemies, with this advantage the battle was won.
With the war being over, Hajime and his army returned to a city nearly done. However, with Shikaku being dead the clan is in need of a new leader. Witnessing his power soldiers and generals selected Hajime to be their leader and the people followed. Hajime then officially named the city Yamato and their newly found kingdom Dawn. No longer are they the desperate wandering clan instead they are now known as the Dawnish. And the first king of Dawn, Hajime will be the light that will lead them to righteousness….for now.
