Chapter 2: First Real Meeting

Andy finally found a hotel to stay at. She went to the front desk and ordered a room to stay at and went to the room. Exhausted from her day from work and following the events of coming home then leaving home. She fell on the bed and dozed off to a nap.

A little bit later, Sam was parking at the same hotel. He went inside and bought a room to stay at, got settled in then watched tv.

Later on Andy awoken from her nap, decided to head down to the bar for a drink. And boy she needed one.

After Sam was finished watching some movie on tv, he decided as well to head to the bar at the hotel for a drink. As soon as he found the bar, he sat on the chair at the bar and ordered a scotch.

While at the other side of the bar, Andy was drinking her vodka, when she saw a man at the other side of the bar, whom she believed she had seen before but couldn't recognize.

Sam's scotch arrived and was taking a sip at the scotch when he saw a woman staring at him at the other side of the bar. As soon as he made contact with her brown eyes, he immediately recognized her as the woman he saw about two years ago at the restaurant on his first date with Ashley. He got rid of any thoughts of Ashley and instead remembered how beautiful she was when he saw her and she still is; her hair which he remembered used to be light brown, now darker and brunette and slightly shorter than before. He thought about her time to time and had a feeling, deep down that he'll see her again someday and introduce himself once and for all. He raised his glass and smiled at her direction.

As soon the man's dimples came in view at her when he smiled, she recognized him as the man she saw at the restaurant two years ago, she remembered how good looking and handsome he was and could have swore he gotten more attractive. She had hoped see him again one day again. She thought 'what the hell' and got up from her seat and walked over to where he was and sat on the empty stool beside him.

"Hi, what's your name?"

"Sam Swarek… Yours?"

"Andy McNally." She held her hand out and he shook it.

"So tell me Sam, why is a nice guy like you here all alone at a bar here in this hotel."

"Oh well I realized my wife has been cheating on me and that she's a whore. What about you?"

"Pfft, my husband? Probably doing the same thing with some skank."

They both laughed a little then went silent, and then smiled to each other. And after that they chatted more and more throughout the night; flirting, joking and teasing throwing friendly banters back and forth, both enjoying each other's company.

Soon they were laughing at something the other said, then the laughter died down quickly. Andy looked at her watch noticing how late it was.

"Wow have we been talking this long? It's late."

"Since it's late, I should be heading back to my room. If you give me your phone, I'll gladly give you my number and if you do the same for me."

Andy smiled "Sure."

They gladly gave each other phone numbers then debating who should pay the tab before heading back to their rooms. Sam and Andy were walking together side by side to the elevator, both pressing the same button to the same floor, the two smiled and blushed, turning theirs head away each other in response, both feeling some sort of spark when their hands made contact. When they reached their floor, both got off the elevator and headed to the direction of their rooms, still side by side. When they both arrived to their destination, realizing that their rooms are next to each other. They both giggled.

Andy and Sam turned to each other making eye contact once again, staring deep into each other's eyes. Andy walked up to Sam, standing in front of him then stood on her toes and kissed his cheek and whispered ... "Goodnight Sam, thank you for making my day."

Sam closed his eyes for bit at the feeling of her soft lips on his cheek, softly replied "No problem. Goodnight to you too McNally, I hope I'll see you again tomorrow."

They smiled to each other one last time before separating to go to their own rooms.
