Recall: "Y-you...didn't die?' She back away slowly. Inuyasha chuckled, walking closer, trying to fill the gap between them.
"Yes I know. Oh didn't I tell you? It must have slipped my mind." He mocked. "You can't kill me as easily as those weak vampires you slayed. I'll be a bit more of a challenge."
This was bad, Kagome had never experienced something as crazy like this. There was no other choice, the only thing she could think to do was run. Like they always do...sad, because there's no hope for her. His wings sprouted from his as he stalked his prey. A little head start didn't hurt. Makes things a little bit more engaging.
Besides, he loved a good chase.
Chapter 2: The Chase
She was running, running as fast as she could. This had to be the very first time in a while she's been terrified on the job. True there were times where she'd forgot her stake or was outnumbered, but luck always seemed to be on her side. She's been doing this over a hundred times and never before had she encountered anything so devastating. There was no way she missed his heart. He should be ashes right now, yet he didn't die. But, how could that be? She thought to herself, looking back to see if she was still chasing her.
Nothing
He wasn't there. She stopped to catch her breath, still on her guard. Safe to assume she didn't out run him and he was still lurking in the area. What kind of vampire doesn't die from a stake to the heart? You would think that higher ups would have mentioned something that important. More of their secrets. She rolled her eyes. Looking down at her watch, she sucked her teeth realizing the sun wouldn't be showing for a little while longer. Whatever, I'm sure I can stall for a few moments. Where did he go anyways?
Kagome stopped, listening closely to see if she could hear even the tiniest sound. Suddenly, she heard footsteps press into the snow behind her. He was there, trying to scare her. She refused to give him the satisfaction. As if not to seem suspicious, she started to walk, slowly pulling out her stake in the process. The steps were getting closer. Quickly, she turn around to stab him, but he caught her hand. She gasped, clearly in shock. As she looked into his eyes, she could feel her heart pounding as if to burst right from her chest. She was scared, and he knew it.
"Lovely Kagome." He said so elegantly. "You sensing my presence so quickly. This might be more fun then I expect."
"Get away from me." She glared at him, not wanting to let him think he got the better of her. Instead, she tried to punch him with her free hand. Unfortunately, he easily caught it without breaking a sweat. Pressing down slightly, Kagome gasped in pain, kneeling down in front of her. Effortlessly, he was showing her how much stronger he was compared to her.
"Oh no my sweet. You won't be getting away from me anytime soon." Kagome struggled to stand up, but it was so difficult. Usually, she didn't have to worry about something like this, but he was just too fast for her. He then took both her wrists in one hand, using the other hand to caress her cheek. She continued to struggle, but all that did was make him grip her tighter. "Such a pretty girl you are…" A finger traced over her lips.
"Get your fucking hands off me." She demanded, but Inuyasha didn't budge.
"I had no idea you'd let me win so easily. I thought you'd put up more of a fight." Before she could retort, he jammed his lips against hers. Her eyes widened, she gasped as his tongue plunged into her mouth. She was in so much disbelief; her first kiss, stolen from a vampire that was a few seconds from killing her. He then he bit her lip, making blood seep out. She groaned from the pain, feeling him greedily suck at the sweet nectar. Bastard!
Kagome pulled her head back away from him. With one big slam, her head collided with his, very hard. He let go and stumbled back in surprise. Not wasting a moment, she took that as an opportunity to run. No use staying there so he can attack her again. This time she ran through the park. The trail led her to a forest, a perfect place to hid for the time being until she could get her thoughts together.
"Fuck…this is hopeless." She thought, now feeling a bit desperate. "What the heck am I going to do? Her feet were cold from the snow. The air was freezing and lifeless. She could see her breath as she exhaled, blood still flowing slightly from her lips. She licked it away, allowing them to heal.
"Where are you my sweet?" She covered her mouth, stopping her from letting out a gasp. He was back, no doubt completely healed. Meanwhile she had to deal with a hurt head as well as feeling exhausted. One would think that the fight wouldn't be worth the trouble and just go elsewhere. But not him, he was enjoying their little…activity. "I know you're here, I can sense your heart beating." She hid in the shadows, as he walked past her, refusing to make any sort of noise. "Where could you be hiding?"
Inuyasha went further into the park; Kagome waited a few minutes before going into the opposite direction. Quickly, she ran out of the forest, back onto the street. She could make out a small glimpse of the sun, still not enough to cause any injury. Never the less, he wouldn't be stupid enough to stay around. Normally vampires would go back into hiding.
"Caught you." She went to turn around when she was suddenly flung into the air. She gasped as the creature took her by the arm, flapping his wings harder. "Lovely night to fly." Thinking fast, Kagome took out her knife, cutting his hand. He growled in pain, accidently letting her go. Luckily for her, she fell on top of a building, not entirely fazed. Not wasting any time, she ran from the roof, down the fire escape. Once she was back on solid ground, she was suddenly pushed back, falling into the snow. Before she could get back up, Inuyasha straddled her hips. She struggled to get away, but the male vampire was way too strong.
"Are you trying to escape me, pet?" She glared at him.
"This isn't funny!" She yelled. Inuyasha grabbed her hair.
"So much to teach you. But, where to begin." She tried pulling away, but he refused to let her go. "First things first, a little one such as yourself should learn her place."
"B-bastard." She squeezed out. He grabbed her chin, forcing her to look into his eyes.
"I don't much appreciate that, darling. I told you, my name is Inuyasha. And you'd do best to remember it. For you're gonna be saying it over and over again once I'm fucking this body of yours."
"W-what…?" She questioned as his eyes started to glow red.
"Although I don't mind master, considering all the things I have planned for you."
He had to make this fast. The sun was starting to come up, he could feel the natural light start to burn his skin. He wasn't going to feed on her; not yet I wasn't gonna eat her, not yet. Feeding, fucking; oh he planned on doing it all to her. But for the moment, he just want to mark her. So he could find her later. Inuyasha allowed his teeth to grow, he went closer to her neck when she swiftly, kicked him over, placing him on the bottom and her on top. Inuyasha was impressed, he was sure he had tired her out by now.
"I take orders from no one. That includes you!" She pulled a cross from her coat, and pressed it into his chest.
"You little bitch!" He howled, finding it hard to move. While the monster was distracted, Kagome made her escape. Running desperately away from him. "You'll pay for this!" He shouted, pealing the cross from his chest.
Inuyasha groaned, slowly getting up, covering his face with his kimono, blocking it from the sun. If it were earlier into the night, he'd continue his fun with the young girl. As for now, she can enjoy freedom for the time being. He was tired, and hungrier; making him want her even more. With a victory smirk on his face, he inhaled her scent. And it was such a lovely fragrance. Fresh blossoms, and wild cherries, with a hint of cinnamon. Simply delicious. He would play with her again soon enough, for now, he'll rest.

Once the sun was up, Kagome was positive he was no longer around. Slowly, she made her way home, the events from the night before playing in her mind over and over. Just what was that all about? What kind of a vampire was he? Certainly not a normal one if regular ways to kill a vampire doesn't work. She made her way up long steps before coming to an old shrine. Paid for by the government as well as many other things.
She made her way inside and instantly collapsed on the couch. Her body was sore all over. She knew she was going to need an ice bath, but all she wanted to do was sleep.

Kagome shivered as his voice plagued her mind in a vicious loop. The very idea of her giving herself to him willingly made her skin crawl. It was evident by his language that he intended to come back for her. She wasn't in the mood to continuously fight the same vampire for weeks at a time, but what choice did she have? And he can't die easily, so it might even be longer.
Groaning, she stretches, peeling off her clothes one by one before making it to her room. She was going to have to call headquarters tomorrow and ask for some kind of help. She wasn't in the best of moods to have a partner, but at this point, she didn't have a choice. Many times, she'd see other hunters die, so bringing another into this situation might be suicide. But, at the present, she didn't really have a choice. She let out a sigh of relief once she hit the bed. Turning over, she looked at a picture of her and her parents when she was quite young.
"I wonder if things would've been different if you guys were alive…Probably not." Killed by a monster, Kagome's fate was sealed once her parents were slayed. Of course she wanted a normal life, but since she was an orphan, and just witnessed a creature out of this world, the government snatched her up and placed her into their slaying program. There, she learned everything she needed to know to take care of the, 'problem.'
After the age 12, Kagome didn't have a normal education. Nothing but a boot camp style life until she was tossed out at age 14. Amazing that they would even let kids out to solve this on their own. She sneered, the government can be fucked up at times. She was almost 17, barely an adult. There's no way she should be out on her own like this. However, it didn't matter; she knew she wasn't going to have a normal life, but anything could be better than fighting for the rest of her life. Dying young at the hands of a vampire.
A sigh escaped from her lips, as she covered herself with her blanket. No need to think of the past now. All the focus is now on her future. What was to become of her? Her eyes grew heavy, as she overcome by darkness. As much as she tried, that bastard, Inuyasha, he continued to haunt her dreams.
