I'll show you magic! (England x Reader chapter 2)
Waking up the next morning I had never felt so hopeful that there was actually someone out there like me. I met actually get a normal person for a friend. (Yep cause Arthur's definitely "normal" XD)
I could picture me and Arthur pouring over spell books with each other, going into the woods to find different magical creatures, and best of all, when we get made fun of, which is bound to happen, we'd have each others back.
Smiling, I throw on a pair of dark blue skinny jeans and a (f/c) ruffled tank top. I threw my (h/c) hair in a simple side braid, and put on a tad bit of make-up, wanting to make a good impression.
As I stood looking in the mirror, giving my appearance the ok, my mother opened my bedroom, her expression looked like she was trying hard to mask her emotions.
"You look nice today (Y/n)." My mom started, my smile started to fade as she took a deep breath, "we need to talk."
"I really think its time you stopped talking about your imaginary friends. Honey, it's just unnatural for an 18 year old to be talking to herself." Mom criticizes.
"Mom, how many times do I have to tell you: I'M NOT TALKING TO MYSELF. My friends are REAL." I protest.
"Think about it this was (y/n), this is your chance to make some friends! Actually have some friends over, go to parties, maybe even a boyfriend! You don't want us to be known as the house with the freak for a daughter, think about what it would do for the family business!" My mom shrieked. Of course, that's all she ever cares about. Mom and Dad owned their own law business, and once everyone finds out that their only child is crazy, their business tended to decrease.
"Mom this isn't about you! And especially not that damn business! This is my life, and I'm going live it my way! And if you don't want to accept what makes the world magical, fine by me!" I shout back, enraged. Suddenly, I felt like if I stayed in the same room with her for another second I would explode. I grab my backpack, push my way past my Mom, and walked right out the front door.
"Don't you talk to me like that young lady! I'm your mother, don't walk away from me!" Mom hollered at me as I slam the door in her face.
Tears streaming down my face, I make my way quickly to the bus stop. My mother's words kept replaying in my mind, making me cry harder.
"Ello, dear, are you ok?" A soft, obviously British, voice asked.
"Yes, I'm fine. Just been a hard morning." I say, quickly dabbing my red eyes with my sleeve.
"Here take this," the man said handing me a pocket hankie, which I gratefully accept, "My name's Arthur Kirkland."
"My name's (y/n) (l/n)- WAIT, YOUR ARTHUR?" I squeak, my eyes bugging out.
"Um, well yes, that would be love. Do I know you?" Arthur inquired.
"Oh-um-well, I heard that you lived around here and attend Hetailia High like me." I lied, blushing immensely.
"Oh well then, are you a senior too?" Arthur asked, a slight smile appearing on his face.
"Yes, I just moved in yesterday. In town house number 2." I answer, dying to tell him about my belief in magic.
"Oh, so your the new person, I live across the street in town house 4." Arthur blushed. I think I almost exploded in pure happiness.
Feeling extremely confident, I decide to finally ask the question that will change my life forever.
"I also heard that you were interested in magic."
The reaction was instantaneous. His whole face darkened, he lost his smile in an instant and his voice was colder than ice, "I don't know what other rubbish you heard, but let me make myself clear, MAGIC IS FAKE. It's just a silly conspiracy that foolish people made up."
"But Flying Mint Bunny said-" I started to say, but was cut of by a beyond irritated Arthur.
"WHAT IN THE BLOODY HELL IS A FLYING MINT BUNNY?" Arthur shouts, my heart sinks. If you hear the sound of glass breaking, that would be my heart.
"He said you were old friends!" I shoot back accusingly.
"He was just an imaginary friend when I was a child! Nothing more!" The bus pulls to a stop in front of us and Arthur quickly hops on without another word.
Following behind him, I take a seat next to a girl with brown hair, green eyes, and ... a frying pan?Noticing I was staring at her curious choice of luggage, the girl quickly said, "Someone has to keep the boys in check otherwise, well, you'll find out soon enough. I'm a Elizabeta, and you are?"

Silently praying I would never know what Elizabeta met by 'you'll find out soon enough', "I'm (f/n) (l/n), pleasure to meet you.""No need to be so formal! If we're going to be friends then you got to lighten up a bit." Elizabeta said laughing.

I was still wondering how we became friends in less than 30 seconds, however I was glad that I wouldn't be completely alone on my first day.
Me and Elizabeta chatted lightly the rest of the way to school, though I still replied and asked questions politely, my mind kept wandering back to Arthur.
Even though he claimed he never had anything to do with magic, the moment I brung up Mint Bunny I could see pain and sadness in his emerald eyes.
When I saw that I knew all hope wasn't lost, if Arthur Kirkland believed in magic at any point in his life, I was determined to make him believe again. At any and all costs.
