Log Entry #5
Invader Zim reporting. It's been about three weeks and the Crystal Gems have decided to let me stay in a large barn located up on a hill. They didn't want me living in their home base. On an unrelated note, the battle for the planet has been fought in my own home. Every single germ must be wiped out. They're unrelenting masses of filth that surround every single living thing and thwart alien invaders such as myself. Why did Pearl have to tell me about germs and the horror they spread? I've never considered buying micro goggles to spot germs, but even now they surround me everywhere. Relentless. Something else threatening the mission is the existence of rain, which has a harmful effect on my skin. Irkens apparently have a weakness to water, which the Gems can't know about under any circumstances. Imagine the possibilities if our enemies found a way to weaponize water. We could potentially have another war on our hands less than a month after the beginning of Operation Impending Doom Two. The Tallest wouldn't like that. Especially not after the last war. Thousands of years have passed since then and the Irken Empire still tries to sweep away the memories of those troubled times. Billions may have died then but the outcome excused the wrongs that had been committed to attain it. No wonder Gems despise Irkens. That being said Garnet seems to tolerate my presence. Even then, she doesn't trust me to wander off alone and requests that someone keep an eye on me at all times. And Pearl may be a reluctant ally for now, but we don't like each other by any means. Amethyst only eats food and sleeps all day, but she does go out nearly every night. They still don't want me meeting Steven (who Amethyst calls Little Rose) and Pearl threatened bodily harm if I try anything. Well that's all for now. Invader Zim signing off.

Invader Zim reporting. Another three weeks have passed since the last log entry. Not only had a new threat emerged, but Pearl assisted me in saving the Earth. Don't get any ideas. This world is mine to conquer and nobody else can take that from me. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. Pearl and I repaired the Voot on Friday. She made me take her up to space and it was certainly an experience. Not necessarily a good one, but an experience nonetheless. The two of us saw several different worlds during our voyage and she babbled on about countless constellations much to my annoyance. We navigated our way back home, but suddenly the Voot crashed into something. Then, we looked out and saw Earth had been stolen by the Planet Jackers! These brutes sneak up on unsuspecting civilizations and enclose worlds in a hollow metal bubble. The inside of the sphere is one big television screen which projects a sky so nobody knows what's happened. Their wretched homeworld orbits a dying sun and they throw countless other worlds into their sun in order to keep the accursed thing burning. Now they had Earth and that would make my mission a total failure! Pearl was understandably concerned and we flew the Voot Cruiser in front of their ship only for some thrust cannon to emerge seemingly out of nowhere and shoot at us. My plan was to take them head-on, but she wanted me to fly up to the coupling between the ship and Earth. The pods on the Voot detached and hovered down, while moving in different directions and cutting through the shell. Pearl kept the Planet Jackers preoccupied, while the shell was being cut through. We flew back into space once the mission was accomplished, but the Voot wasn't able to dodge the debris. Here's to hoping the ship flies again soon. The Planet Jackers have been defeated and the Crystal Gems are still unaware of my true intentions. Another job well done... Invader Zim signing off.

Invader Zim reporting. Things haven't gone according to plan and convincing the Crystal Gems to trust me again will take a lot of work. It took me nearly two months to build a space probe, but that's something I used to do in my spare time back at the academy. Repairing the Voot Cruiser took about twelve days following that nasty business with the Planet Jackers. Following protocol, I sent out the space probe to Mars in order to see if the barren world had any potential use for the Irken Empire. And the space probe brought back images of artificial-looking structures. Then, I made the decision to fly the Voot in order to determine whether Mars could be used by me to destroy the Earth. Also, GIR tagged along for the ride. Investigating led me to stumble upon a structure which turned out to be the control interface for planet Mars. Apparently the natives had converted it into a giant spaceship and this led to their extinction. My people cheered for me after contacting the Tallest and informing them of my amazing plan to crush out all life on Earth! Everyone was just so happy to see me and it made me feel good... but the Crystal Gems ruined everything! Those accursed pebbles managed to find out about my plan and even hijacked a rocket ship after those idiots at NASA Place refused to believe them. Knowing them, they probably said sorry. The Crystal Gems were at the helm of Mercury and our battle took us across the stars. I tried hurling moons at them, but they managed to come back around and charged at GIR and I. We continued chasing each other and headed towards Saturn. My robot slave successfully steered their ship in another direction. I tried losing them in an asteroid belt but ended up getting pummeled by the asteroids. Even after deceiving them and attempting to destroy this world, the Crystal Gems still went out of their way to save me from certain death. Afterwards, I attempted to contact the Almighty Tallest and make up some excuse about wanting to do a warm-up before conquering Earth. Somehow my communications array was broken which means that contacting them is going to be tricky from now on. The Crystal Gems must be deciding my fate at this very moment. The self-destruct button is looking awfully good right about now. This certainly wasn't part of the amazing plan. Invader Zim signing off.

Invader Zim reporting. It's been three months since I first arrived on Earth and the mission still hasn't been accomplished. Ever since the "battle of the planets" the Crystal Gems want nothing to do with me and only let me stay to repair my ship so I can leave this world. They don't know anything about the Irken Empire or even the Almighty Tallest. The concept of a superior species actually choosing to protect primitive humans baffles me, even if they're considered rebels by their homeworld. That being said, the Crystal Gems did also choose to save me from those asteroids. And they didn't kick me out even after learning of my plans to conquer the Earth. Instead, they chose to give me enough time to repair the Voot Cruiser. Although, Pearl refused to help me this time around. This doesn't make much sense, seeing as how helping would only speed things along, but they're quite emotional. Especially Pearl crying at the mention of Rose. Speaking of Rose... they decided to kidnap her son today for some reason. Not only that, but I was in Greg's van at the time to pick up one of my evil minion's stuffed animals. Imagine my surprise when the Crystal Gems started up the van and drove off with Greg chasing after us. Something I learned today is that Garnet isn't just one Gem, but actually two Gems in one! She needs to tell me more about her "fusion" one of these days. Then, Pearl pulled over on the side of the road and even tried to pull out the boy's gem. Now he may be a half-breed but the size of the threat he possesses appears to be miniscule. And his laugh is admittedly cute, but don't tell anyone I said that. His laugh made Pearl stop what she was about to do and now everything appears to be about him, according to Garnet. That was when Greg caught up with us and the Crystal Gems let him in the van. He told the Gems that he isn't sure how they'll find out exactly what the boy is, but that they'll have a better chance if they do it together. I'm glad it had a happy ending, but these moments make me feel awkward. Expect another log entry all about Steven-Rose (what I'm calling him now) sometime soon. Invader Zim signing off.
