Chapter 2: True Feelings Revealed
The dinner was awkward and silent. After that dreadful silence and delicious dinner, we went into the garden to talk about what I was dreading. While I was thinking earlier today, I realized that I was hopelessly in love with Maerad. Maerad started talking, "I really don't know how to say this and I'm quite nervous to talk to you about it." I couldn't help myself and I blurted out, "I know what you're going to say, I overheard your conversation with Silvia." Maerad sank down in her seat and sighed, "How much did you hear?" Her voice rang with anticipation. However I couldn't lie to her, so I said, "Everything." To my surprise Maerad didn't look relieved, she looked petrified. "Oh, uh, well, I was hoping to tell you in person."
"I don't approve either way." Maerad was near tears, "I thou-thought that you would understand and I certainly didn't expect you to react like that." Now I was in total confusion, "I have a confession, I don't approve because, because I'm in love with you." Maerad's face lit up and she stared laughing, I'm now furious. "I thought you heard everything from our conversation." I yelled, "I did, don't yell at me!!!" Maerad could barely speak from laughing so hard, "Cadvan, it's you, I'm in love with you."
"Oh, well then." I grabbed Maerad and kissed her fully on the lips and she kissed back, oh did she kiss me back.
