The green haired boy pulled a small berry out of his pocket, "Eat this. It will keep you from disappearing," Natsuki took the berry, putting it in her mouth. She sighed with relief when she turned solid again, "Now come on," He took her hand, pulling her along as he started to run back toward the steps. He slowed when they neared bridge they had been on earlier.
"Now, you cannot breathe while we're on the bridge. The tiniest breath will break the spell and everyone will know you're human," Natsuki opened her mouth to protest, shaking her head but he just looked ahead, "You can do it," He said, "Now take a deep breath," He instructed her. She quickly obeyed as they stepped onto the bridge. She got about a fourth of the way across when she felt her lungs craving air. After they were half way across, Natsuki started whimpering softly. "Its fine," He said, continuing to run, until they reached a set of stairs near a paper door.
"Listen. Go to the boiler room. Tell Kamaji that you are in the same predicament as Sen," He said, his hand on her forehead, showing her the way to the boiler room, "Tell him you have to wait for Lin. Tell Lin that Haku told you to go to Yubaba and ask for a job," Natsuki nodded, "Be forceful with her. Insist that she give you a job. If she says no, tell her she's under oath." He took at her, "Got all that?"
Natsuki nodded. "Now go," Haku told her. Natsuki started toward the stairs. What was this place?
