One day, while waiting by the docks, a ship materialized in the gloom! However, we learned not to get our hopes up as this happened quite often. However, when we got close, we saw the name. "The Seahawk" When we saw this name, we jumped. Screamed. We might've even made quite a reputation among the people. We didn't care though. Why? OUR PARENTS WERE HOME! They had told us when they left, when we come back, we'll be on "The Seahawk" This had been the best news, ever since we had found the barn. We were jumping for joy, absolutely positively delighted. However, our good mood did not last long. When the ship docked, we rushed on board. However, we got held back by the crew! We were outraged, at the fact that we would have to dally any longer to see our parents again.

We exclaimed, "Our parents are onboard! Our parents are onboard!"

The crew member said, "What do you mean by parents? There's only men onboard this ship. Please don't tell me your family is gay." My sister and I froze.

"Wwhat ddooo yyyou mmean bbby ooonly mmmen?"

"Sorry kids, no parents onboard." My sister and I sulked away, feeling more depressed than ever. We had gotten our hopes up, just to have them crushed. It was the worst feeling in the world, even more than sleeping on a pile of trash. When we were walking down, we brushed by Charlotte Doyle. We had heard about the "princess". After hanging around the Seahawk because we had nothing better to do, we heard Charlotte arguing about why she had to go on the ship alone, without any families to keep her comfort.

After exchanging a glance with my sister, we walked up to Charlotte, and offered, "We'll keep you company on the ship!" She looked us up and down, and slowly nodded agreement.

"It'll have to do. Better than nothing."

My sister and I were exciting beyond imaginable. We were going on a ship to America to find our parents, and we were to be friends with a rich girl!

After we boarded the ship with our zero bags of luggage, odd things began to happen.
