HPOV
Maybe I was being dumb, thinking that Malfoy might actually be a good friend. I got to the Heads Compartment on the Hogwarts Express train earlier than Draco and I was just pondering my life and ultimately, Draco Malfoy.
I definitely seemed to be forgiving him because I've been calling him Draco in my mind lately, but I would never say his first name out loud. I never would.
At the thought of not calling Draco by his first name, he appeared. Speak of the devil, I thought.
"Hello Granger, I assume you remember our truce," Draco said.
The truce. Of course, I remember. I have been thinking about it for the past few weeks.
"Yes, but we need to set some ground rules," I said. "Maybe, over time we can get rid of them."
Draco nodded and left to do some rounds along the train.
DPOV
When I saw the Golden Trio at The Bistro, I was surprised. It wasn't known to many people and it was normally the place that I would go to when I wanted to be alone.
When I invited them to join me, I was even more surprised. Why did I do that? Was it because of a certain bushy-haired girl looked at me with those puppy dog eyes, which were obviously because the small restaurant was packed and she couldn't get a seat?
Probably true, I concluded.
And when she offered a truce, I thought I might've had a stroke from being so surprised that night.
I accepted hastily and bolted out of the restaurant. The next few weeks were filled with me pondering what would happen with the truce in place. The night that I had dinner with the Trio wasn't horrible. Granger and Potter were tolerable, but that Weasel, I could never be friends with him.
After boarding the Hogwarts Express, I went straight to the Heads Compartment to put my bags away. I was hoping that Granger wasn't there early but of course she would be.
When I slid the door open, Granger was deep in thought. I started off talking about the truce but I couldn't do small talk anymore and mumbled something about checking on the first years.
I was going to talk to Blaise but I decided that it would take more time to also check on the first years. They were a complete mess, successfully taking up half an hour of my time. I went to the compartment Blaise was in and slid the door open.
A Slytherin bimbo was straddling Blaise's lap when I came in. I coughed and Blaise detached his face from the girl.
"It's the one and only Slytherin Prince and Hogwarts Sex God," Blaise chanted.
I rolled my eyes and ordered the girl to leave.
"Why'd you have to do that Draco?" Blaise asked. "I was going to have some action."
I rolled my eyes again and sat down.
"What's on your mind?" Blaise asked.
"The bloody truce with Granger," I replied.
Blaise nodded and let me talk.
