God Lord, this was one of my first stories I started on nearly a year ago, and I'm finally getting around to updating it! Alot has transpired with this group since then, and its only fitting to finally give an update. Thank you for reading!
Roman sat quietly in the dark room, his mind focused on things of the past. Lord knew that it wasn't easy getting to this point, but he had himself to thank for making this possible. His blue/grey hues focused on the dark door, as he heard his brothers making their way towards it. Dean opened it, startled that Roman had already been waiting for Seth and himself, and it prompted him to worry.
As of late, it had been a riff between the three, and Dean had wondered if the vow they all made years ago still mattered. As Roman gave a soft smile, Dean's mind cleared a bit, making him feel a bit at ease. Seth nodded at Roman, as he extended his hand. "Always brothers for injustice, right? No matter what.."
Roman gave a thoughtful nod, before lifting himself from the chair, shaking the younger man's hand. Regardless of any fight, any spat, any dark time within their lives, they always had to remember the code of brotherhood.
"You fight.
You get back up.
And you shake on it out of respect."
No turning away from something that could be fixed, and the two men realized that. Dean watched as the two men embraced, feeling a twinge of hate for the two. He had to admit to himself, that sure, he remembered the code, but was it worth caring about anymore? Would he forever be Dean Ambrose, a part of The Shield, or would he be Dean Ambrose, destroyer of The Shield? He felt himself smile softly from the latter idea, as he felt his brothers embrace him.
Little did they know, his smile was for something much more darker than they could imagine.
