At the M. A. C. C, Wendy and Ariel were watching Jack and Billy play a game of Hockey. Needless to say, Billy won, again.
"Oh shucks Billy. You just got lucky, that's all" said Jack, looking at Billy, coldly. "Oh come on Jack, you lost sixty - nine games in a row" Wendy said, smiling in amusement. Jack didn't look so pleased by the comment. "Well hey, look on the bright side, at least it wasn't ninety games in a row this time" Wendy added.
Jack rolled his eyes and put the controller down, before getting up. Billy took the controller and handed it to Wendy, who took it and sat down to play. Ariel sat on the armrest beside Wendy and watched.
After a few rounds, she put a hand on the lieutenant's shoulder and started rubbing it, absent - mindedly, causing Wendy to miss the shot.
Wendy didn't let her emotions show, but on the inside, she was a nervous wreck.
This had never happen before, and it really confused her.
She shook her head, and focused on the game.
After she won a few rounds, her and Billy decided to call it quits for the evening. She got up and wished Billy and Ariel a good night.
It was two in the morning, and Wendy was still awake. She couldn't go to sleep, thinking about Ariel and her touch.
She groaned and dragged her hands down her face. She then got out of bed, and went to the living room.
When she got there, she sat down and turned on the tv.
She wasn't paying attention to what was on it. She couldn't get Ariel out of her head. She thought to all those years ago, when her and Ariel first met.
She was just as young and stubborn as she was now. They would hang out together, telling stories and listen to what the stories were.
Before she knew it, it was six thirty. She got up and stretched, before going to her room to take a shower.
Ten minutes later, she walked out, with her jacket folded over her arm. She wasn't paying attention to where she was going, and ended up bumping into someone.
She looked down and saw that it was Ariel. "Shit! Ariel, are you okay?" Wendy asked, guilt on her face.
"I'm fine, Wendy" responded Ariel. She looked down and blushed. Wendy looked down and blushed too. Without realizing it, she caught Ariel, with her hands on her hips.
Wendy let her hands drop and rubbed her neck, awkwardly. Ariel bent down and picked up Wendy's jacket, before handing it to her.
Wendy cleared her throat and turned and walked away, before she did something stupid.

They were at Virginia Beach for the annual Eastern Sufer Tournament. The A. R. C, was overlooking the beach, keeping watch of the swimmers, just in case one or more had started to drown.
Wendy was on deck, leaning against the railing, rubbing her hands together. She watched as Ariel did somersaults on her Jet Ski, and smiled.
She knew how talented Ariel was, and that was one of the things she loved about her.
Her smile fell, and she sighed. She didn't understand what she was feeling. For a long time, her and Ariel were inseparable. But, this new feeling, it scared her.
If it keeps getting worse, I have no other choice but to move permently to the Hexagon Space Station, Wendy thought.
She had no other option. It was either the Hexagon Space Station, or Ariel's life.
