Astrid stormed out of the clearing with Hiccup on her tail.
"Astrid, wait, you don't understand. He's harmless. Astrid!" Hiccup screamed. Astrid ignored him. She couldn't believe it. She couldn't believe him. Hiccup turned around. He ran back into the clearing screaming for toothless. A minute later he was soaring in the air on toothless's back. Toothless was soon leaning towards the ground, swooping down, and catching Astrid in his claws. Astrid screamed. Hiccup guessed Toothless was annoyed with the screaming because he stopped atop a pine tree and dropped her on the branch. He then sat on top of the pine tree waiting for Hiccup to help her up.
Hiccup held out a hand and Astrid took it shakily. Hiccup pulled her up and Toothless took off, which scared Astrid half to death. She grabbed his waist and held on like her life depended on it. At this point it did. Toothless was still rather upset about the fact that Astrid had clearly upset Hiccup. That killed Toothless. Hiccup had saved his life and no one would hurt his friend. Hiccup finally got Toothless to calm down and Astrid began to enjoy the ride. She couldn't believe it. Could the quirky boy who always managed to mess things up have figured out how to tame the most viscous creatures known to man? Were these supposedly awful beasts not so bad after all? Was all they knew wrong?
Astrid sat up a little taller; she let the wind whip her hair and couldn't believe the feeling. There was no other way to describe it besides well, unbelievable.
They landed smoothly. Astrid already missed the air. How had so many Vikings lived and not one of them thought to tame the dragons. They climbed off Toothless and Astrid started to leave but she turned around last minute.
She walked over to Hiccup and punched him, " That's for kidnapping me," she then kissed him full on, "…and that's for everything else." She said.
She then walked off leaving Hiccup standing stunned and staring at the spot she had last been.
