Chapter 2: Distrust and a Stranger
"Is that...that missile is heading straight for Titans tower!"
"Titans Go!"Robin called, running to the elevator.
Outside,Robin told the Titans:"Okay,we don't have a lot of time, so Raven use your pow-" As Robin talked,the missile was disassembled right in midair.
"Good job Raven." Starfire said."That...wasn't copied my magic."Raven replied. "Then who was it...?"Beast Boy asked.
"Th-That would be me."Said a voice.
The Titans looked,just in time to see a figure jump down off the broken missile. "Sorry,but I couldn't let that missile hit anything."They said.
"Dude,that was awesome!"Beast Boy exclaimed. He ran up to the figure. "I'm Beast Boy, this is Cyborg, Starfire, Raven, and Robin." Beast Boy introduced himself, sticking out his hand. The figure kind of stepped back.
"What? You don't shake hands?" He asked. The figure just said took off their mask. "I'm Najika." She said. "And sorry about that, I'm sort of afraid of people." Najika explained.
"Y-You are a girl."Beast Boy gasped. "Yeah,I guess the mask doesn't look at least it's better than my last outfit..."Najika said. "You must be don't you come in?"Cyborg asked."I-I couldn't intrude."Najika ran her hands through her dark hair.
"This is kind of like what happened to Terra..." Beast Boy whispered.
Najika looked confused."Terra was an earlier teammate of ours, but she doesn't seem to remember Beast Boy."Raven explained."Oh.I'm sorry to hear that..."Najika looked down.
"It is the say you will join us for the dinner."Starfire said."Uh...is it okay?I don't want to intrude."Najika others,all but Robin,agreed it was the others walked inside,Robin finally said something:"Hey Najika was it?"
"Uh...y-yes?"She asked. "Are you from around here?"Robin asked."Uh,no.I'm new."Najika replied. "Oh.I just think it's kind of weird that a tourist would be here at the same time a missile launched, and stopped it." Najika faced the leader of the Teen Titans.
"A-Are you accusing me of launching the missile?"Najika asked. "No. But I'm just saying."Robin replied.
"Hey are you guys coming?We got tofu soup."Beast Boy called. "Comin' Beast Boy."Robin said back, walking away. "Hey w-wait! I didn't launch it,if that's what you think!"Najika exclaimed.
But Robin didn't seem to listen.
