I do not own Teen Wolf
Luciana awoke slowly. She savoured the warmth of the sun through the window, the feel of the soft blanket, everything that made her feel almost human again. Almost. She would never be able to quench the thirst that constantly tickled her throat.
Someone cleared their throat. Luce rolled over to face the door and saw Derek Hale with his muscular arms crossed and a stern expression on his face. "Sleep well?"
"Yes actually. Your bed is a lot comfier than I remember actually," Luce suddenly sat up and feigned a comical 'oops' look, "Oh damn, that's right I forgot. You like to play that game where you pretend that nothing ever happened between us and that I meant nothing to you,"
"When did you get so cold, Luciana?" he asked slowly, leaning against the frame of the door.
Luce shrugged, "Oh I don't know, maybe when you left me? You know I—"
"My family were murdered and you expected me to stick around?"
"Well, I thought—nevermind," Luce mumbled, throwing the blanket aside and pulling on the summer dress and jean jacket she wore last night.
"Thought what?" Derek asked, uncrossing his arms and stepping into her temporary room.
She slipped her feet into the plain black 5inch heels, "Nothing, I—nothing,"
As she stood up to leave, Derek blocked her way. "Thought what?" he repeated.
Luce let out a sigh, "I thought you'd come to me for help, for comfort. Or at least you would stay for me. But you just left."
"You really believe—"
"And then I find out from a friend that you had already been cheating on me with a werewolf hunter," Luce scoffed. "I mean, of all the supernatural things in the world, you hook up with a hunter? And not just any hunter. Wasn't she the hunter who organised the burning of your home and family?"
"She used me, Luce, she manipulated me. Do you think I'd really do that to you? And to my family?" Derek clenched his jaw and breathed out. "You moved across the world with your family. I was lonely and Kate was there. Luce, I thought she loved me and I loved her t—"
Luce's face turned vampiric, her eyes blackened and her teeth sharpened into fangs. "I don't give a damn about you anymore, Derek Hale." She pushed him hard with her supernatural strength, throwing him across a desk. "I hate you." Luce walked towards the front door, slinging her bag over her shoulder.
Derek growled in response and stood up quickly, "If you didn't come back to town to pine over me, then why exactly did you come back?"
Luce stopped in her tracks and opened the door. She turned back and smiled at him before leaving.

Luce looked down the long hall of Beacon Hills High School. It looked pretty much the same as it did when she left abruptly nearly 7 years ago. Of course, she had left as a human and returned as an undead, blood thirsty vampire.
She walked confidently down the hall to the principal's office. She was glad that everyone was in their lessons at the moment; it would be easier to get around without hoards of walking meals swarming around her.
Luce knocked twice and entered. The Principal set down his sheets of paper and glanced up through his old glasses. "Can I help you, Miss?"
"Yes actually, you can," Luce placed both her hands on the desk and leaned forward slightly. She looked straight into his eyes, watching his pupils dilate under her compulsion. "Your librarian needed an assistant and you saw my application in the morning paper, then you called me in for today,"
"Oh," he said slowly. "Do you have your resume?"
"You've already checked it, everything's perfect." Luce told him.
"Oh of course I have, I'm sorry. It must be old age." He nodded and chuckled.
Luce smiled, "And I'm starting right away,"
"Yes, yes, that would be very helpful, Miss…?"
"Luciana Whitlock."
Luce pinned the 'librarian' badge onto her jean jacket and looked back up at Mrs Norton. "Okay so here's the deal, I'm looking for a book— a grimoire to be exact. Except it's warded from all supernatural creatures, which makes my job a lot harder seeing as though I can't see through the enchantment. That's where you come in. I want you to take a book and read every 1031st word aloud. If it's the right book, the words you read should let me see and touch the grimoire. I want you to go through every book, across every shelf, down every aisle until your feet bleed. And when that happens, keep searching."
Mrs Norton's pupils dilated and she nodded, "Of course, Miss,"
Luce sat back in the librarians chair at the front desk and watched as Mrs Norton began her search at the back of the library. The shrill of the bell was followed by a small influx of students coming into the library. Luce sighed and pulled out her phone. One new text: Where are you? – E
She was about to reply when she caught scent of a werewolf. She glanced to the door and saw one of Derek's betas walking in with a teacher she didn't recognise.
"Mr Lahey, if your grades don't improve, you won't be able to do any extra curriculum activities. And you know what's an extra curriculum activity? Lacrosse. And I need you on my team, so you're gonna spend all your free time, albeit day and night, in this library studying for all of your retakes, you understand?"
"Yes, Coach." He replied in a low tone.
The Coach looked over at Luce and approached her, "Who are you?"
"Can't you read?" She pointed at her badge. "I'm the librarian."
"Where's Mrs Norton?"
"She's been demoted. But I'm perfectly capable of helping with anything you need,"
The Coach looked uncertain for a moment before turning to the beta wolf and pulling him over by the sleeve of his jacket. "I need you to make sure this boy is here in this library studying his heart out for his retakes."
Luce grinned at the wolf, and then turned her attention back to the Coach, "Not a problem, sir. I give you my word that he'll pass with flying colours."
The Coach scoffed, "I just want him to pass," and then left without a second glance.
The wolf's eyes flashed with anger, "What are you doing here? Where's Mrs Norton?"
Luce laughed, "Relax, she's just running a little errand for me."
"If you've hurt her, I swear –"
"Oh, please, just because I'm a vampire that doesn't mean I'll go around snatching vulnerable old ladies out of little school libraries and leaving their bodies behind the bookshelves." Her brown eyes darkened slightly, "Anyway, I prefer healthy young men. Their blood is so much more... satisfactory."
He let out a low growl, only loud enough for Luce to hear, "What are you doing here? I thought you were here for Derek?"
Luce rolled her eyes and grabbed his shoulder, dragging him over to a spare desk and forcing him to sit in the seat. "I promised your coach that you'd pass, so you'd better start studying as soon as possible." She hopped up on the desk and sat down. "My name's Luce Whitlock."
"Isaac. I'm Isaac Lahey."
She opened her mouth to reply but her phone buzzed against her pocket. She pulled it out and saw another next text: Answer me. Where are you? – E
Luce tapped a swift reply: If you keep harassing me over text, how do you expect me to get anything done?
And to that, she got no reply. She smirked.
"Texting your boyfriend?"
"Why don't you just focus on passing those retakes, Lahey?" She retorted and returned to the librarian's desk, watching him pull out a few books.
She pursed her lips and opened up the student folders from Mrs Norton's laptop. She typed in the name 'Lahey, Isaac' and pressed searched.
Sorry I'm awful at updating! Hopefully the next one will come sooner.. Leave reviews, make me happy :)
