I'll seek you out.

Flay you alive.

The firemen looked puzzled. In the report from witnesses, a young girl went into the apartment, and only a young man exited. The searched the ashes and under the wood. There was no girl.

One more word and you won't survive.

Karin held her arms, burnt, in pain. She limped down the street, eyes cautious as she glared around. Where was he? She wasn't finished with him. She wasn't done. Her body felt deformed – contorted. The people surrounding her seemed to agree as their eyes widen upon her figure.

Her eyes snapped at the bystanders, an obvious scowl painted on her lips. The citizens simply looked down, rushing off, whispering to their counterparts. She wasn't done. She was-

A blonde haired bartender filled her gaze, and she limped towards him. Shizuo's eyes grew when his sister collapsed on his chest.

"K-Karin?"

She was shaking on him, hiding a smirk as she played with her brother. His anger, she knew, would get the better of him. When that happened, she would get her revenge. She would save him, then, from the unescapable death that Shizuo would wish to bring him. He would finally love her.

Her eyes, on command, filled with tears as she whimpered quietly, "I-I-Izaya..sama.." Her body went, seemingly, limp as she fell into his arms. She held in a sharp laugh as she felt her brother shaking under her. Shizuo picked her up and began marching.

And I'm not scared

Of your stolen power.

I see right through you any hour.

"IZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYA."

The scream tore through air as he rushed through the streets. As if on cue, a small laughter filled the siblings' ears. Shizuo spun around as he grimaced at the smirk. He clutched Karin in his arms, making sure Izaya knew how much trouble he was in.

Izaya's smirk fell slightly as he eyed the girl. "She survived, did she?"

"SO IT WAS YOU."

"Mm?~ Don't get me mixed up with a murderer, Shizu-chan. She set my home on fire, and I merely escaped.~ Barely alive; I'm homeless."

Shizuo growled slowly, and, just as Karin figured, a low, "Kill, kill, kill, kill-" filled her ears. A lullaby, of the sorts, and she forced her mouth to stay shut. She lowly lifted a lid to glance at her future lover, and she tugged at her brother's shirt.

"I-Izaya.. He.."

"Don't worry, Karin.. I'll kill him," Shizuo murmured, almost too calmly. He set her down, gently, on the ground. Closing his eyes and throwing his cigarette down, he easily ripped a sign from the ground. Shizuo rotated it on his finger tips, eyes sharply glaring at the young informant.

I won't soothe your pain.

I won't ease your strain.

You'll be waiting in vain.

I got nothing for you to gain.

Karin let out a fake, realistic groan of agony, pumping Shizuo's anger to it's full extent.

"You won't be alive to mess with me or my family after tonight, flee," he spat, stopping the spinning sign, firmly gripping it. The "stop" was aimed at Izaya's head as Shizuo began sprinting. The raven jumped back, reaching into his pocket and grabbing his knife. The knife hit the pole, and he gritted his teeth as Shizuo swung with all his might. With wide eyes, the informant flew into a wall. Shizuo dropped the sign and stomped towards the trembling man.

"I'd rather kill you with my bare hands!"

"Heh," Izaya chuckled, spitting out blood as his fingers brushed on his lips, checking for any other blood. "Don't want your DNA all over me, do you, Shizu-chan?"

"I don't give a flying shit," the blonde hissed, picking up the tiny raven by his shirt.

Karin waited patiently until she had to step in, making sure to whimper Izaya's name ever so often to fuel Shizuo even further.

I'm taking it slow.

Feeding my flame.

Izaya calmly stared down at Shizuo, smirking. His game wasn't going as he had thought, but it didn't matter. Shizuo couldn't – no – he wouldn't kill him. Shizuo was a monster, of course, but even Izaya knew that Shizuo was too human to end a life. His eyes lingered over to Karin, and his mouth sunk as he saw the fire in her eyes; the smirk on her face as she watched Izaya be pummeled.

Shuffling the cards of your game.

Shizuo slammed the man onto the wall, pushing as hard as he could. Izaya coughed, blood spilling on Shizuo's face. The ex-bartender didn't seem to mind the damage as he pulled Izaya close to him, only to slam him right back into the wall. Izaya's sight began to blur, and he let out an insane laugh. He wasn't going down as a man who hated death. No – Izaya was going with all his pride in hand. Shizuo's hand slipped over the informant's head.

"Shut the hell up."

The slamming continued, and Izaya's laughter became sickening to Karin. The blood on the wall was even worse. Her lover was almost dead. She weakly stood up. The time was now.

And just in time,

In the right place

"Onee-san," the girl cried, putting a shaking hand on her brother's shoulder. His eyes softened as he looked down at the gruesome, burnt girl. Her eyes glazed towards Izaya, who was looking at her with an amused hatred.

Suddenly I will play my ace.

"Don't…hurt him anymore.. I.. love.. Izaya-sama.." She whimpered, eyes filling with tears once again. The ex-bartender squeezed his hand tightly over Izaya's skull. The informant remained quiet, curious. Karin begged her brother to let go, tears soaking the back of his shirt. Finally, the man yielded, taking his hand away and letting Izaya fall to the ground.

I won't soothe your pain.

I won't ease your strain.

You'll be waiting in vain.

I got nothing for you to gain.

Her eyes lit with a flame of victory as Shizuo stepped back. She sat next to the huffing, dying informant and laced her fingers in his numb hand.

"Izaya-sama.~ I saved you," she sang, smiling softly at the man.

He smirked weakly. He had taught her well, it seemed. He looked at her eyes – looked at the flames of revenge and happiness igniting.

Eyes on fire.

Your spine is ablaze.

Felling any foe with my gaze.

"Izaya-sama.~" She smirked, leaning close to him, her wet, smiling lips hovering over his ear. "Do you love me now, God?"

And just in time,

In the right place.

Steadily emerging with grace.

Izaya said nothing as her lips trailed onto his own, a smile glued to her face as her tongue trailed on his own. A shiver ran down his spine, sickened, but he had no energy to move as she climbed on top of him.

"I won, Izaya-sama."

Ah, felling any foe with my gaze.

Her arms laced through his hair as he glared up her. She smirked, happily, hearing her brother grunt with displeasure as he walked away.

"All mine, God."

"Not in the slightest."

The girl smiled softly, as she tilted her head in amusement. Izaya groaned, trying to get her off.

"Do you love me, God?"

She glared at him with happiness, kissing his neck. She won. He had to say it. He had to say it or..

Ah, felling any foe with my gaze.

Shizuo watched the two from a corner, waiting for Izaya to make the wrong move. He had his sign gripped in his hand, ready for attack.

"I do not."

"God, you must love me. I saved you."

"You cannot force a God to love his sheep, Karin.~ And I won't. As far as I'm concerned, you are just another boring part of the flock. But I-"

His eyes grew wide as he spat out blood, feeling a sharp pain. The girl's eyes filled with tears.

"LOVE ME. LOVE ME. I SAVED YOU. YOU HAVE TO LOVE ME." She repeatedly stabbed the man in his chest, screaming and sobbing. Shizuo's eyes widened in horror as he began running towards the two.

Izaya gagged on his blood, feeling the pain over and over again. Her smirked, wincing. His game didn't go as expected, of course, but…

"LOVE ME."

"KARIN. STOP."

The pain stopped in Izaya as blood splattered onto his own clothes and chest as the girl slit her neck. Shizuo's eyes widened as she collapsed onto the informant, making the informant squirm in displeasure. His sight was hazy, and his eyes dropped.

"Even a God must fall from his throne."

Izaya smirked at the comment from before and slumped on the wall.

Damn.

Ahh, steadily emerging with grace.
