Chapter 2: Blur and Hammer

Blaze was waiting outside of Sunset Heights waiting for someone. She looks around as she had a yellow rose in her hand. "Hopefully she gets here soon." She then turns her attention to someone in the distance. "Tangle!"

The lemur runs up to her fellow queen embracing her in her arms. "You made it!"

"It was a bit longer than I expected. I had to lend a hand to a few friends of mine."

"Yeah. Me too. Whisper and I had a little run in with another cat."

Blaze scratches her chin a bit curious. "Another cat?"

"Yeah. Funny enough, she kind of looked like you, only with white fur."

"Why does that sound familiar?"

Before an answer was given, the two of them took notice of someone in the distance.

Tangle runs over to them. "Sonic! Amy! How's it…?" She cuts herself off upon seeing an unconscious Tails in Sonic's arms. "Tails?"

Blaze approaches them looking at the fox. "What happened to Tails?"

Amy looks to them. "He just came fall from the sky for some reason. Someone got to him."

"Any idea who?"

Sonic gently sets his buddy down. "All he said was that they were coming and that there were thirteen of them."

Tangle looks at Blaze contemplating the possibilities.

Amy was kind of confused. "What is it?"

"I think I know who's behind this. We've met some of these people."

Blaze nods agreeing with her. "In fact we were face to face with some of them recently."

Sonic was trying to help Tails come to. "Do we know any of them?"

Tangle starts naming them off. "I know Starline, Rough and Tumble are."

Blaze adds on. "If he survived, Zavok is another one."

Amy helps Sonic try to wake up Tails. "Seems like all our enemies are teaming up against us."

Sonic nods. "No doubt they're likely after the Chaos Emeralds."

"Blaze, Tangle, think you can help us."

Tangle smiles as he readies her tail. "No problem. We'll help you back to the workshop."

Sonic shakes his head as he hands Tails off to the girls. "They'll be expecting us there. You two need to get Tails out of there to somewhere only you two know."

Blaze looks down at the unconscious fox. "Sonic, are you sure? This is your best friend."

"His safety right now is more important."

Amy sees a warp open behind them. "Someone's coming!"

Tangle grabs Blaze's arm and runs. "Let's go!"

Blaze follows her as she carried Tails. "I won't let you down, Sonic."

Sonic and Amy stood ready to fight as they eyed their opponent.

The hooded figure approaches them removing her hood revealing herself as Metal Blaze. "It's been a while, Sonic."

"Metal Blaze. I see you've learned how to have a conversation."

Amy holds her hammer up. "Don't come any closer unless you want trouble."

Metal Blaze laughs at her comment. "That's exactly what I'm hoping for."
