"Agumon, we're back in business. Now we need to decide what our next move is." Tai said as he, Ash, Pikachu and Agumon traverse through a desert.

"Well we have to find our friends, then we have to make sure you and the others come home safely." Agumon said. This led to another problem, now that Ash is in the digital world they'll have to find a way to get him back to his world.

"Ash, it would seem that once we're successful we'll have to find a way to get you back to your own world." Tai said, feeling guilty about bringing Ash here now that the rift closed. But Ash smiled and placed his hand on his shoulder.

"Don't blame yourself Tai, there's always a way for me to get back home." He said, reassuringly.

Tai realized that he never had a friend like Ash before, one that supported others and helped them. Pikachu hopped onto Ash's shoulder and agreed with him.

"Pika." Pikachu said.

"Thanks, Ash." Tai said as the two gave each other a high five.

"So, where should we start?" Agumon asked.

"We'll go wherever the road takes us." Ash said, pointing to the path. They follow the path as they walked and walked, but the sandstorm got progressively worse as the trio continued.

"Where is everybody?" Agumon asked, once the sandstorm subsided.

"Great, some welcome home." Tai said.

"This is right where we left them, Ash. But where could they have gone?" Agumon asked.

Ash and Tai's digivices began beeping, a indicator that someone was close by.

"Well, looks like somebody's around cause I'm getting a reading from their digivice. Hmm okay, I got a lock northwest a few clicks from here." Tai said.

"Then let's follow it to the northwest."

Tai nodded and followed the signal.

"Very impressive, you two sound like you know what you're doing." Agumon said.

"I just watch a lot of TV."

Ash was now laughing.

"What's so funny?"

"It's just, you said you watch a lot of TV. I traveled to other regions and became a Pokemon master. What a kid." Ash said, repeating Iris' catchphrase.

"Come on Ash, I'm more experienced with the Digital World." Tai said.

They follow the signal to the forest, then Pikachu spotted something and leaped off Ash's shoulder. They follow him, and then he stopped.

"Pika."

Tai recognized who it was.

"It's Tokomon." Tai said.

"Tokomon!" They ran and picked him up.

"Hey! What happened little guy? Are you alright." Tai asked as Tokomon opened his eyes.

"Not exactly. You look like Tai. You are Tai! You're alive."

"Yeah, last time I checked."

"I'll bet a black gear Digimon got you, right?" Agumon asked.

"If it was that simple, I wouldn't feel so bad."

"Where is everybody? Where's T.K?" Tai asked.

"He's probably off with his new friend." Tokomon said, then noticed Ash and Pikachu.

"Tai, who's your friend?" Tokomon asked.

"He's Ash Ketchum, from another world." Tai said.

Tokomon was a little scared, but Ash came over to him.

"You're afraid because I'm from another earth, but I have no experience with your world either."

Tokomon realized he's friendly and then Pikachu walked over to him.

"Well, you guys were gone for a long time." Tokomon explained.

(Flashback)

"We looked high and low for you. I did most of the low part." Tokomon said.

"It's no use. We're practically lost ourselves."

"I've been lost ever since I got here." Mimi said.

"What about Gennai? Maybe he can help us find them."

"Yeah, where do we find Gennai? I think one wild goose chase is enough." Joe said.

"This is the most depressing camp out ever." Mimi said.

They were all tired and decided to go to sleep.

"Won't T.K be upset?" Biyomon asked.

"Maybe, but he'll be safer here." Sora replied.

"We're going off on our own, don't wake everyone."

"We'll see you later, Tokomon." Biyomon said.

"That's how it started first Sora left, then we all went in search of Sora. Then someone said we'd cover more ground if we split up. So Izzy and Tentomon went one way, and Joe and Gomamon went another, pretty soon only Matt, T.K, Gabumon and me were left." Tokomon explained.

"Why did everybody go away? When you're lost, you're supposed to stay together." T.K said.

"We had different ideas of what was the best thing to do, T.K. we've looked everywhere. If they were in this area, we would have found them." Matt said.

"We could've missed something. We got to keep searching. Come on, Matt, if we hurry we can still catch up - -"

"Hey, it's hopeless, alright? We've already done everything we could!" Matt yelled. T.K then began to cry.

"Oh, come on. Don't cry, I didn't mean it. Don't worry, wherever Tai and Agumon are, I'm sure they're perfectly alright." Matt said.

"Really, Matt? Any minute they'll be coming back." T.K said.

"And they'll bring presents with them."

"I hope you're right. I sure miss my friends." T.K said.

"I knew Matt was kidding about the presents, but that didn't matter cause just then." Tokomon said, as they saw something.

"Oh, look Matt is it real? Everybody's going to love this place!" T.K said.

"But Matt didn't seem too excited. It was like something was on his mind."

"Look at this, no lines! Actually, there aren't any people here at all. Maybe they forgot to tell us they're closed." T.K said.

"So T.K, are you sure you'll be alright?" Matt asked.

"I'll be fine, don't worry about me."

"That's my big little bro." Matt patted him on the head.

"You'll be back soon, right?" T.K asked.

"Right, I'm going to look around and check this place out. I'll be back in a couple hours."

"Tokomon, you're responsible for him. Okay." Gabumon said.

"Sure." Tokomon nodded as Matt and Gabumon paddled away.

"Don't worry. We'll be waiting right here."

"Great, and remember it's a amusement park, so amuse yourself. See you soon!" Matt shouted.

T.K's expression then changed.

"Hours went by and still no Matt."

"He'll come back, T.K." Tokomon told his partner.

"I wonder what's keeping them."

"You've gotta eat something." Tokomon said.

"They should've come back by now."

We waited at the park for a week. T.K spent the entire time staring at the water, except when he could no longer stay awake." T.K and Tokomon then fell asleep.

"He waited and waited."

"He's coming. Any minute now, I'll see his boat out there." T.K began to cry again.

"Don't cry again."

"He's gone! I just know it! He's gone away like all the others! He said he'd be back in a couple hours." T.K continued to cry.

"Now, don't give up hope." Tokomon said.

"Hey, what's all the squawking about? DemiDevimon's the name, mind if I drop in?" DemiDevimon asked.

"DemiDevimon. I've heard about you."

"Oh, great I'm flattered."

"Don't be, nothing I heard was good."

"Okay, I admit I used to be a wise guy, but that's only cause I was working for Etemon. But now he's kaput thanks to you guys."

"Have you seen my brother out there?"

"You've come to the right Digimon, let me see what I can do. Be back in a flash."

(End flashback)

"Then what happened?" Ash asked.

DemiDevimon let T.K know that Matt doesn't want him and he wants to become his friend. Tokomon didn't trust him and the two got into a fight. T.K abandoned him, along with his digivice and crest.

"You see Tai, we disappear for a few days and everything falls apart." Agumon said.

"First, let's see what T.K is up to. Then we'll look for the others."

"I agree with you, I want to give DemiDevimon a piece of my mind." Ash said in a determined tone.

Tokomon led them to the amusement park.

"This is the place?" Tai asked.

"Yeah, T.K in there somewhere with that phony."

"We're having some fun now, huh? Come on, T.K, I bet I can spit farther than you." DemiDevimon said.

"Tokomon's awfully small to be all on his own."

"Forget about him, will you?"

T.K then spotted Tai, Agumon and Tokomon. They were happy to see each other, then T.K noticed Ash and Pikachu.

"Tai, who's that?" T.K asked.

"This is Ash, I met him after being sucked into his world. And this is his best friend, Pikachu." Tai said.

"Nice to meet you, T.K."

The young boy noticed Ash was shaking his hand.

"Nice to meet you, Ash."

T.K then saw Pikachu and walked over to the mouse, rubbing his cheek.

"You're so cute, Pikachu." T.K said.

DemiDevimon was watching the whole thing and knew Ash and Pikachu would prove to be a problem.

"With them around, the mission will fail. I'll get rid of them after these two." DemiDevimon thought.

He flew around and saw the Gazimon.

"Hey, what would Etemon say if he found you lounging around like this?"

"Ete-who?"

"Who's that?"

"What do you know? The famous mushrooms of forgetfulness." DemiDevimon grabbed them and flew back, just as T.K told them that the others didn't want him around, but Ash cheered him up.

"Thanks Ash, look it's DemiDevimon."

"That's him?"

"I have a bad feeling about him."

"Pika." Pikachu said.

"Welcome back Tokomon, how have you been?"

"Okay, what did Matt really say to you?" Agumon asked.

"Cool it, who are you guys anyway." DemiDevimon said, even though he already saw them.

"We're T.K's real friends."

"Hey, where are your other friends?" DemiDevimon asked.

The others were starting to become suspicious, because he knew about Ash and Pikachu.

"We never told you about Ash."

"Oh, it's probably my imagination, but it's been a long day. Wouldn't you like some mushrooms." He handed them the mushrooms.

They wondered where Ash had gone anyway. He was in the forest gathering some mushrooms.

"The digital world is a great place." He thought while looking at his Digivice. "But I'm still wondering about this dreams, no matter I'll find the answer soon." Ash said as he and Pikachu saw the mushrooms.

"Pika chuu." Pikachu said. He wanted to eat the mushrooms and picked one up, but then saw Agumon finish using the bathroom.

"This world is different." Ash said. He looked at a sign saying "Beware the mushrooms of forgetfulness, they'll take your memories away."

Ash stopped Pikachu before he took a bite, now knowing the mushrooms and DemiDevimon were now bad news. He went to warn his friends and Sora and Biyomon stared at them.

"He knows Tai and Agumon!"

"Yeah, but who is he. He's kind of cute."

Biyomon heard her say that and then the two followed him.

Ash spotted Agumon, who knew about the mushrooms of forgetfulness. They were going to warn their friends and came across Tai and T.K who were about to eat them.

"Drop those mushrooms!" Ash and Agumon shouted.

"You don't see him eating them!"

"Yeah, he's trying to take your memories away." Ash explained.

They realized he was lying to them from the beginning and prepared to fight him.

"Tokomon digivolve to Patamon!"

Patamon attacked DemiDevimon, but eventually he was going to finish Patamon off.

"Pika chuu!" He zapped the Rookie Digimon with Thunderbolt.

"You rat, I'll get rid of you first." DemiDevimon ambushed him and Patamon, injuring the two.

"Hey! Leave Pikachu and Patamon alone. You tried to drive Tai's friends apart, but you'll never destroy their friendship."

The group saw his digivice was glowing. This was the first time T.K and Patamon saw it, but DemiDevimon knew what it is.

"No, it can't be. I must grab it before something happens." But it was too late.

"Ash, master digivolve to."

"Voltachu!"

"No, he master digivolved!"

"Ash, is that you?" Tai asked.

(Digianalyzer)

"Yes Tai, it's me. I combined with Pikachu and my Volt Blast attack shocks my opponents into submission."

"Let's take him on together, Voltachu."

"Gladly."

"Boom Bubble."

"Hey! Can we form a truce!"

"Here's your truce, Volt Blast!" Voltachu sent DemiDevimon flying as Tai, Agumon and T.K run over to them.

"You're awesome, Voltachu!" T.K said.

Voltachu then changed back into Ash and Pikachu.

"Whoa, did we fuse Pikachu?" Ash asked.

"Pika." Pikachu said.

"Wow Ash, you were amazing." Tai said.

Ash realized his digivice was more powerful than he expected. Meanwhile, T.K and Patamon apologized and renewed their friendship.

"I was close, so close." DemiDevimon said.

Then the sky turned red.

"Uh oh, now I'm in for it."

A swarm of bats turned into a figure.

"Forgive me, o terrible one. I've failed, the crest of hope regained it's strength and the legendary master digivice has been found. I'll work overtime and on Sundays too."

They were preparing to leave and find the others, when Tai asked Ash a question.

"Hey Ash, how did you manage to master digivolve."

"Well, it had something to do with the fact DemiDevimon tried to destroy you guys and steal the crests."

"Ash, I want to say your my best friend, well best friends."

"Best friends!" They exchange high fives.

"Let's get going and find our friends. With Ash's help, we can defend the Digital World." T.K said.

"You bet, if we stick together no Digimon will stop us." Ash added.

Pikachu hopped onto his shoulder and they were on the road again.
