Severus sighed when Harry stormed into their bathroom, grumbling under his breath about vampires and stupidity going hand in hand.

'Sanguini forgot to feed before coming to your class again, didn't he?' He asked, lounging in the relaxing bubble bath.

'Yes!' Harry quickly disrobed and joined his husband in the the tub, groaning as his muscles immediately relaxed. 'To be honest, I think he's doing it on purpose, just so he can drink my blood.' He tilted his head to expose the bite mark in the joint between his collar bone and his neck.

'If I didn't know better, I'd say he gave you a hickey.' Severus snorted, observing the mark. 'Next time send him me for feeding. You can't keep feeding him Harry, you know your blood can be addicting to a vampire because of the amount of magic in it.'

'I may just do that. I know he isn't particularly fond of your blood since Nagi bit you. I was glad we were able to fix the damage Voldemort did to her though.' Harry leaned against Severus feeling drowsy.

'Hmm, speaking of which, someone's decided that the bathroom makes for a good napping spot it would seem.'

Nagini lifted her head from the floor where she had settled, unnoticed to Harry. The floor isss warm when you bathe. Why would I sleep somewhere colder?

Harry sighed. To give usss our privacccy Nagini. I'll recassst the warming charm on your heat ssstone again.

That would be much appreciated Masster. She slithered out of the room, then popped her head back in. Sssomeone isss at the door. Ssshall may I give them a ssscare? She looked at Harry pleadingly.

Only if it'sss Sssanguini. He didn't feed before arriving today. He can't keep putting the ssstudentsss in danger like that. Harry agreed.

It sssmellsss like it may be the cold one. She left.

Harry groaned as he lifted himself from the water and dried off. 'I'm going to recast the warming charm on her stone. We need to figure out why it keeps wearing off so quickly lately.'

'I still want to know where she found it. I've never seen a rock shaped like that and be so large before, and you know I'm in the forest on a regular basis.' Severus followed Harry into their bedroom and promptly walked into his back as he had abruptly stopped.

'Err - Sev, is the heat stone moving?' Severus peered over Harry's head and blinked at the wiggling rock.

'Yes, and it's cracking too.'

Suddenly a peice of the rock came flying of and suddenly it wasn't a rock anymore, but a very large egg.

'Oh,' Severus said, sounding very faint. 'It's a phoenix egg. That's why the charm kept wearing off so quickly.'

Harry turned and blinked at him, then sighed. Nagi! He called. Your egg is hatching! The next thing he knew there was a large snake wrapped around the egg and hissing encouragement to the firebird trapped inside.

'Well.' Harry said facing Severus. 'I can inform Albus of the answer to his question now.'

'And which question would that be?' A voice from the doorway asked.

'Whether or not he's the owner of a bird with a de-aging combustion problem, or the owner of several reincarnations with the previous ones memories.'

Sanguini nodded. 'Maybe your new bird will be able to help you with what I discovered today.'

'And what would that be?' Severus turned to Sanguini.

'Someone is attempting to poison Harry. Again.' Harry threw his hands up.

'Please tell me it's not someone trying to become a Dark Lord or Lady again.'

'I can't. I don't know who's attempting to poison you yet. I did manage to get the poison out though, hence the bruising.' He said nodding towards the bite.

Err, that may actually have been me. Nagini said slightly sheepishly. I did try to tell you that more of my venom than I had intended may have entered your system the last time you had me bite you.

Harry nodded. 'It's okay, Nagi said that more of her venom entered my system than she intended the last time she bite me.'

A/N: And now that I'm about to post this, I realize how that last line would sound to someone who's not in the know. Like Sanguini. Oh well, pretend Harry explains afterwards.
