Fragile
He says that he is strong (and under the harsh lights of the stadium, with the roar of the crowd pressing against both of you like an ocean and slipping into your bloodstreams like a drug, he is) but here, where it is only the two of you under the light of the moon, you want to say that his skin looks like china, more like a porcelain representation of a human rather than true flesh and blood.
Closer, closer (if he'll let you) and maybe you'll see the hairline fractures, the cracks.
Touch him, gently, slowly (be careful Netto! You're always so clumsy!) Put your arms around him, enfold him in safety. (Be careful!)
So fragile…Handle him too roughly and he might shatter.
