Song Of Hope: Okay, here's the next chapter.
Kai threw his toothbrush at the ninja with bushy eyebrows. It landed in his mouth, then he spit it out, it rebounded, and went down into his pants. Kai used the chance to climb up onto the ceiling rafters. The ninja followed him up, but fell off. Kai laughed. Then, he ran off.
Kinzoku got in a fighting stance to face the ninja with a partially missing eyebrow in front of her, but instead used her ponytail holder to hit his eyes and make him blind, while she escaped.
Kaze faced the ninja with brick like eyebrows in front of her.
"I will be able to counter all of your moves." The ninja went at her, but she easily ducked and pinned his hands behind is back. Then, she ran off.
They all went to the courtyard.
"Kai, Kaze, did you just-?" Kai cut her off and nodded.
"Get attacked by a random ninja? Yeah, I kinda did." Kaze nodded along with them.
"I was as well." The three ninjas came there. Kai knocked over the statue and pressed the button, while the training course attacked the invading ninja. They eventually got out of the course, and they all started attacking each other. Kinzoku turned to Kai.
"Kai, give me a boost!" He raised an eyebrow towards her.
"What would that do?" She glared at him and yelled.
"Just do it!" He put his hands together. Kinzoku put her foot on them and he lifted her up, while she flipped in the air and positioned herself to land on all three ninjas at once. "Told ya." They threw her off, got back up, and where ready to fight.
"STOP!" They all looked at Sensei Wu. The three ninjas bowed slightly in respect.
"Yes Sensei." The other three were confused. Kai walked up to Sensei Wu a little.
"Wait a minute." Kinzoku looked a bit confused.
"Are they-?" Kaze cut her off.
"Sensei, you have other students?" He nodded. It clicked in Kinzoku's mind.
"So, this was our final test?" The ninja who Kinzoku had faced started running his mouth off.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Sensei, you never said anything about a forth, left alone a fifth and sixth. And you never said anything about girls!" Kaze glared at him.
"What's wrong with girls?!" he put his hands up in mock surrender, but mainly so she wouldn't hurt him.
"Nothing, it's just that's its always been us three, three blind mice, three bears in the forest, three musketeers-" The ninja that had faced Kai cut him off.
"What he is trying to say Sensei Wu is that we've trained together. We're solid." Kai folded his arms over his chest.
"Didn't look so solid to me." The same ninja glared at Kai.
"Look at how you fought with your own teammate while fighting with us!" The one Kaze had faced walked up to try and understand the situation.
"Master, what is the meaning of this?" Sensei Wu walked down the steps.
"Each of you has been chosen each in tune with elemental properties. But first, NINJAGO!" He used his Spinjitsu to change them into new outfits with new weapons. Kai wore red and had a sword, Kaze wore yellow and had two metal fans, Kinzoku wore gray and had a chigiriki, the one who had faced Kinzoku wore blue and had nunchaks, the one who had faced Kaze wore white and had shurikens, and the last one stayed in black, with a scythe. Kai looked down at himself in shock.
"Whoa! How'd he do that?" The one in blue seemed pretty happy.
"Look what color I am!" Kaze also examined herself, but more because she was curious about what had just happened.
"Yellow, an interesting color for me." The one still in black looked a bit confused.
"Wait a minute, I'm still black." Sensei Wu pointed towards Kai.
"Kai, Master of Fire. It burns bright in you. Jay is blue," he put his Bo Staff on Jay's shoulders, "Master of Lightning." He looked pretty proud of himself.
"That's not all I'm master of. I do a little inventing, I dabble in model building, touch in cooking, a little in poetry." The one in black rolled his eyes.
"More like mouth of lightning." Sensei Wu pointed out that one next.
"Black Ninja is Cole, solid as rock, Master of Earth." He spun around and held his scythe out to Kai.
"Nice to meet you kid. I got your back. And for the record," he threw off his mask, revealing his long, thick black hair, "there ain't nothing in this world that I'm afraid of." The one in white held up his hand slightly to make a point.
"Except for dragons." Cole looked a little timid at that.
"Dragons aren't from this world Zane. I said in this world." Kinzoku got very excited.
"I love dragons! I make them all the time when I'm soldering or welding." Sensei Wu pointed her out.
"Kinzoku is gray, for she is as strong as steel, and the Master of Metal." She smiled, pretty proud of herself.
"I love metal. It's great, and can be used for anything." Kaze nodded.
"And it blocks the wind." Sensei Wu put his Bo Staff on her shoulder next.
"The most sensitive element, the Yellow Kunoichi, Kaze, the Master of the Wind, and able to sense much with little." She nodded at that.
"Unrestrained by anything." Zane felt a need to speak up once again.
"Except for metal, like you had already said." Sensei Wu nodded as he pointed out Zane.
"The White Ninja is Zane, Master of Ice, and a seer of sixth sense." He spun around and then held out his shurikens, seeming to make them disappear with a little slide of hand. Kai leaned over to Kinzoku.
"Me sense that this one takes things a little too seriously." Zane took his mask off, revealing his straight up blonde hair.
"You too have the gift?" Jay laughed a little as he put his hand on Zane's shoulder.
"He's just making a joke Zane." Jay took his mask off, showing his brown hair. "You remember what we talked about? Your sense of humor, huh?"
"Yes, it was a joke, ha ha." Jay smacked himself on the forehead. Sensei Wu shouted out to them.
"Pay attention! You six are the chosen ones who will protect the seven weapons of Spinjitsu from Lord Garmadon."
"Pardon me for saying so master, but if I recall correctly, there are seven elements, each represented by an element. If we each represent an element, then should there not be a seventh member with us?" Sensei Wu nodded.
"Yes, there should be. I am glad you figured that out Kaze. I was wondering about the mental skills of all of you." He turned towards inside. "Hana, you may come out now." Another kunoichi, dressed in purple with sais came out, a little younger than them. "This is the Purple Kunoichi, Hana, the Master of Plants, my daughter." They were all very shocked. Cole couldn't believe it.
"Your daughter?" She smiled and nodded.
"Nice to meet you all." She took off her mask. She had brown hair that had purple streaks in a braid. Jay was shocked himself.
"Sensei, since when do you have a daughter?" She giggled.
"I'm not really his daughter. I did grow up here at the monastery. My parents left me here when I was just a baby, with nothing but a locket that said my name. Sensei Wu is the only family I've ever known." Sensei Wu nodded, pride obvious in his face.
"Hana has grown up here, and has trained most of her life. She has been preparing for this since she was a little girl. She is so skilled that's she's managed to hide from all of you all this time while she was still in the monastery." All of them were pretty shocked, but Kai easily brushed his shock aside.
"While all of this is interesting, what about Nya?" Jay got pretty excited.
"Whoa, no one ever said we were rescuing a girl! Is she hot?" Hana, Kinzoku, and Kai glared at Jay. "What?" Kinzoku whacked him upside the head.
"For one, that was practically an insult to our appearances." Kai nodded, threatening jay by putting a sword very close to him.
"And second, she's my sister." Jay backed away a little.
"I just wanna know what we're getting ourselves into. Does she like blue?" Kai stepped closer.
"Back off." Sensei Wu walked over and pushed Kai's sword down and away from Jay's throat.
"When we find the weapons, we will find your sister. It is time. We must go to the first weapon!" Cole stepped forward, a bit concerned.
"Whoa, hold on a minute, you said you were going to teach us Spinjitsu." Sensei Wu's expression did not change as he replied to Cole.
"Spinjitsu is inside each and every one of you. But it will only be unlocked when the key is ready to be found. Hana, would you please show them?" She nodded. She put her mask back on.
"NINJAGO!" She turned into a purple tornado that released a few purple flower petals. She stopped after a little bit. Sensei wu smiled at her.
"Excellent work Hana." She smiled back at him.
"Thank you Father." He looked back out at the other ninja and kunoichi.
"Come! My feet are tired." Sensei Wu walked back into the building, with Hana following after him.
"Shall we take a horse carriage tomorrow Father?" He nodded.
"Of course. An old man can only do so much walking." They were gone, back inside the building. Kinzoku rolled her eyes.
"Great." Jay looked highly annoyed.
"Now we have to find a key?" Cole nodded.
"Yeah, I'm feeling like he's taking us for a ride." Kai looked at them with determination on his face.
"Well, if it means finding my sister, then sign me up."
The Next Day
"Sign me up!" Everyone short of Sensei Wu, was pulling the horse carriage. Zane, Kaze, and Kai, in that order, were on the right, Cole, Jay, and Kinzoku were on the left in that order, and then Hana was in the middle of them, pulling the front. Cole clenched his teeth as he made a comment to what Jay had said.
"Way to go spark plug." Kinzoku turned to Kai and glared.
"Kai, you're not pulling enough on your side." He glared back at her.
"No, you're pulling too much and I can't push as hard as I can." Kinzoku looked exasperated at that.
"That doesn't make any sense!" Sensei Wu yelled at the both of them.
"Quit arguing! You cannot work as a team if there is a large enmity between you two! Your constant fighting will only serve to destroy our team." Zane thought about what they were doing.
"I sense this is some strange form of team building." Hana turned to all of them.
"Just keep pulling NAS's. We've got a long way to go." Kaze raised an eyebrow.
"To satisfy my curiosity, could you please tell me what NAS means?" Hana smiled back at them.
"It means "New At Stealth". I made it up when Father told me that he was gonna have some students." That made Kinzoku start thinking a bit.
"Speaking of, how did Sensei find you three?" Said three looked at each other, and then Cole answered her.
"Let's just say if Sensei didn't exist, we'd never be seen together. I was testing my limits." He thought about how he nearly fell off the mountain at seeing Sensei Wu up there, drinking tea. Jay nodded.
"I was testing my invention." He thought about how he had tried a glider that he had invented, which only made him crash into a billboard that Sensei Wu was behind. Zane remembered what he had been doing.
"And I was testing myself." He thought about how he had been underwater for a long time, and then suddenly saw Sensei Wu, somehow drinking tea underwater, and accidentally breathed in some, couching and choking. Cole turned back towards the other three who hadn't shared yet.
"So, how did Sensei find you three?" Kai shrugged a bit.
"I was making a sword that didn't turn out so well." Kinzoku remembered it easily.
"I was making a giant metal dragon sculpture." Kaze emotionlessly recalled how she had met him.
"And I was just drifting into town." Hana laughed a little at hearing their stories.
"You're right. If it weren't for Father, none of us would-" Sensei Wu suddenly called out.
"Stop!" They all stopped pulling. "The Caves of Despair. Samukai must be close to unearthing the Scythe of Quakes." They all let go and walked towards the edge of the valley before stopping. "Remember, do not use the weapon, or its power-" Jay cut him off.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's too much for us mortals. Alright guys, lets chop sake this lemonade stand. Cole, do you have a plan?" He nodded.
"Sure do. First, we lower ourselves down the ledge, and then, where's Kai?" Hana nodded.
"And Kinzoku." Kaze pointed.
"I felt a disturbance in the wind from that direction." There, Kai and Kinzoku were sneaking around to get to the Golden Weapon first. Jay sighed.
"Let's go." They all leaped off. They sneaked past some skeletons and got under an over turned cart. They made one skeleton drop a rock on his foot when they bumped into a boulder. They started walking and saw another skeleton, but this one saw Kai and Kinzoku, so they took it under the cart before it had the chance to alert the others, then beat it up.
Kai and Kinzoku were trying to get to the weapon when they both saw Samukai.
"The map!"
The rest of the ninja and the kunoichi were under a conveyor belt, heading into the mine. The two skeletons that found the map were there. The one with the eye patch held up a rock.
"Oh, oh, I found something!" The other one smacked him in the back of the skull.
"You idiot, it's just another rock!" He still looked excited about his rock.
"But it looks like a doughnut! I wonder if it tastes like one." He bit it, and his teeth came out. The other skeleton just sighed.
Kai and Kinzoku sneaked up to the guard tower. All the other ninja and kunoichi followed behind. When they were all up there, Jay smacked him in the back of the head.
"What do you think you're doing?" Both Kinzoku and Kai shushed him.
"Sh!" Samukai looked at the map, then put it down and faced away from it. Hana was a bit shocked at what Samukai had managed to do.
"It's upside down. They're digging in the wrong spot! He seemed much smarter when he fought us at the monastery a few weeks ago!" Zane held up a shuriken with a rope tied to it.
"The golden weapon is near." Zane threw his shuriken down, pulled the rope after the shuriken hit its target, and got the map. Kai looked at it and quickly made a decision.
"There's no time to waste!" Kai flipped off the tower. Jay was highly annoyed and confused.
"What's with that guy, always in a rush?" Kinzoku sighed.
"Idiot! I'm going after him." She leaped off as well. Hana nodded at Jay's comment.
"And what's with her? She seems to hate him, but she always has his back."
Kai found the spot and was trying to push away the rock that covered it.
"Need some help Kai?" He turned to see Kinzoku.
"I don't need your help." She went over and pushed the rock with him.
"You just don't want to admit that I'm stronger than you. Sensei Wu said it, I'm a strong as steel." The others came over. Cole glared at them.
"Hey, before you two run off again, you've got to remember, we're a team." Kai rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, whatever." Kinzoku looked back at them.
"Quit criticizing and help push." They all pushed the rock out of the way and saw the Scythe of Quakes in the mouth of a stone dragon.
"Whoa, that is so cool!" Jay's cry echoed out throughout the whole dig sight. Kaze smacked him in the back of the head, not in anger, but more to show Jay that he was being stupid.
"That has now alerted the enemy of our presence!" Cole jumped on the statue and grabbed the Scythe.
"Don't be so paranoid." Kaze looked at Cole calmly as she explained herself.
"I am connected with wind, and wind carries sound, and in a place like this, the sound will bounce around and amplify quite a bit, going with the wind. And I felt the wind carry it throughout the entire camp." She stopped. Jay spoke up again while Cole got down and threw the Scythe to Kai, who had the tarp to wrap it in.
"It couldn't have been that-"
"SH!" Jay shut up. "Hear that wind sound?" They stopped to listen. Hana nodded.
"Yeah." Kaze turned to them, an emotionless seriousness on her face.
"It is coming from behind us. I suggest we run." They ran out, only to crash into Samukai. Hana glared at him.
"Samukai!" He smirked.
"Well, four ninja and three kunoichi, oh, and look, it's Sensei Wu's brat!" Hana's glare only intensified.
"yeah, I am his brat, and I wouldn't have it any other way! You're going down Samukai! NINJAGO!" She started using Spinjitsu, while all the others used their normal fighting to fight. Kinzoku held her hands up.
"Kai, throw it over here!" As much as he and Kinzoku didn't get along, he still threw to her the Golden Weapon.
"Here!" She caught it and started running. She then got Kaze's attention. "KAZE! Catch!" She caught it with ease.
"Zane!" Kaze then threw it to Zane. Kai was being overwhelmed by skeletons.
"There's too many of them!" Jay smiled to himself under his mask.
"Let me handle that!" Jay made some strange sounds as he fought the skeletons. He realized something. "Hey, guys, it's just like the training course!" He started doing the moves he did in the training course. "Over the planks, dodge the swords, and here comes the dummy!" He started spinning a little and lighting formed around him. Then, he turned into a tornado of blue lightning.
"Spinjitsu!" Hana stopped her Spinjitsu to look at Jay.
"Way to go Jay!" She started up again, fighting skeletons. Kinzoku called after the tornado of blue lightning.
"Jay, what's the key?" He laughed a little.
"I'm just going through the motions. This must be what Sensei meant when he said we already know it." Kinzoku smiled.
"Then, we'll just have to do it just like the training course. Over the planks, dodge the sword, here comes the dummies! NINJAGO!" Kinzoku turned into a gray tornado, with bits of metal flying around it. The skeleton wearing a helmet started laughing.
"She called you a dummy!" The one with the eye patch glared at him
"No, he called you a dummy!" Then, a tornado of white and ice came towards them that they ran away from. It slowly stopped to reveal Zane.
"I sense you do not stand a chance." They all figured it out and started treating it like the training course, then turned into tornadoes. Samukai knew he could not win.
"RETREAT!" The skeleton army ran away. They stopped using their Spinjitsu. Kinzoku got pretty excited.
"Ah yeah! Couldn't handle the power!"
"Kinzoku! Cease your noise making!" She turned to Kaze. "There's unnatural and bad smelling wind, coming from behind us." Cole was a bit shocked.
"Is it the guardian?" They turned around.
"That's not what I think it is, is it?" Kinzoku was excited, while Cole was terrified.
"Yeah! This is totally awesome!" Zane looked at the situation.
"I sense we won't be able to spin our way out of this one." Kinzoku walked up to the dragon. Kai looked pretty scared for her.
"Kinzoku, get back!" She didn't listen to him, only kept going forward.
"I don't think it wants to hurt us. I think it just wants the Scythe." Cole was now cowering behind Hana.
"How can you be calm around that thing?" She smiled to herself.
"I've always like dragons." She held her arm out to it, but started tensing up, like it was going to attack.
"Kinny, no!" Kai pushed her out of the way before it spit out earth at them. "You're going to get yourself killed doing that!" She glared at him.
"It only attacked because you scared it Kai!" The dragon started attacking the others. Kai took the Scythe out of its covering. "Kai, no! Remember what Sensei said? You don't know what will happen if you use that!" His determination didn't waver.
"Well, let's find out!" He struck it to the ground, making the cavern shake and also made it start caving in. A giant rock hit the dragon on the head. Kinzoku glared at him.
"Kai, you are so in trouble now!" Kai ignored the comment for the most part.
"No time, let's go! NINJAGO!" He started using Spinjitsu. Kinzoku followed in his lead, as well as the others. They all jumped out of a crack in the ceiling, spinning as they came out. Cole was pretty happy.
"That's was so awesome!" Kai was pretty pleased with himself.
"We are unbelievable!" Hana, Kaze, and Kinzoku stood off to the side, glaring at Kai, while everyone else cheered. Zane shared in their happiness.
"We are awesome." Jay was happily describing the events that had just occurred.
"I was like pow, and then you were like blam and-"
"ENOUGH!" They all turned to Sensei Wu. The girls bowed in apology.
"We are sorry Sensei." Kai was confused.
"Sorry for what? We got the Weapon." Sensei Wu couldn't contain his anger anymore.
"And you used it! I told you not to use the Scythe!" Kinzoku nodded.
"I tried to stop him Sensei! He wouldn't listen! He never listens to me!" Kai walked forward, trying to remedy this.
"It was my only option." Sensei glared at him still.
"And what makes you think you are more important than the team? Look at Kinzoku, even though you two still have a strong hatred of each other, she still helps you whenever you need it! Take a lesson from her in working as a team! You still think yourself more important than everyone else!" Kai got mad and defensive.
"They have my sister." Sensei Wu was exasperated that it didn't get through Kai's thick skull.
"And what good would you be to her if you cannot even follow orders or work with your team! I trained you in teams so you would be used to team work! But obviously, you, Kai, do not understand the importance of working together. There are still six Golden Weapons. Perhaps you can do it right next time."
Samukai was bowing in front of a giant shadow.
"Sir, I have failed you. They have learned Spinjitsu. And now, they have the Scythe."
"Good, then my brother was there."
"Yes, along with his brat."
"She has trained all her life with Wu, how much more powerful is she?"
"Far stronger than Wu was at her age."
"Good."
"I can assemble an army together still, and recover-"
"No. That will not be needed."
"But, I don't understand."
"Everything is going according to plan."
Song Of Hope: So, how'd I do? Keep R&R ing.
