After 20 minutes of waiting in silence, I heard the familiar beat of wings. I looked up, letting out the breath I seemed to be holding, and Dylan climbed through the window. I sucked in another breath, shocked. "Dylan!" I screamed, surprised and confused. I almost fell off the bed.

"Nice to see you too." He flashed his grin hopelessly waiting for me to someday fall in love.

I stood up and walked towards him, "Where have you been? Why didn't you tell me?" The exact reasons I never would fall in love with him. He left me on a nightly basis. I never got to see him. There wasn't a chance.

"Don't worry about it Max. What matters is I'm back now right? Everyone's safe and sound. Although I hear your not doing so well."

"Yeah? From who?"

"The devil herself." He had always had a special bond with Angel. Not like mine, but there was something extra there. I assumed it was her inside his head, but I really wasn't sure.

"Oh God. I'm sure she made it seem like I was out doing something crazy with Fa-"

"Maybe you were," Fang cut in, I hadn't even noticed his familiar sound until now. He winked again, weakening my knees. I fell, hoping Fang would catch me, but instead Dylan was closer. Then I cursed myself for all my girly emotions.

I looked toward Fang, "Where have you been?"

"Um. Around."

"Well then, you can go around and explain what happened to the kids." He sighed, and walked out leaving me with Dylan. "You can leave too you know."

"Awe do I have to?"

"Yes." I said, shoving him out the door.
