Hello all of my dear followers. I know it has been a LONG time and for that I truly apologize. Life has been REALLY hectic over the past three years:I've been through breakups and get back togethers, hell I even had a flood destroy my house last year. It's been really eventful but I am finally getting back to doing one of my favorite things:writing. So I'm finally updating starting with this one!

Note:I will try to update at least once every week or so from now on, at least with this story. Also, I am changing my main character's name to Catalyna as to not confuse people, because yes I remember there's a character in the original named Serenity (this change is dedicated to crystalessences XD).

Anyway, please read and enjoy!

Chapter 2-Explanations...Maybe.

"She's always been the one..."

"No, you can't do this!"

"I'm sorry Princess..."

"It has to be this way for you to seize your destiny!"

My mind jolted awake after a moment, eyes shooting wide and my breathing heavy. I set a hand on my forehead, finding it slightly sweaty and trying to gain back some sense of mind.

What the hell was THAT?, I wondered as I stared up at the ceiling. That...whatever it was, was strange to say the least. Could that have been a vision? Hell, I had no idea.

Sighing I dropped my hand from my forehead. Whatever had happened had caused me to lose consciousness, and...speaking of which, where the hell am I?

I blinked when I realized I didn't recognize my current surroundings, sitting up to get a better look at them. I was currently seated on a couch in front of a TV, probably in somebody's living room I assumed. It was a small place, but it was nice regardless...

I stopped suddenly from looking around, closing my eyes and concentrating for a moment. I heard voices coming from somewhere, and when I opened my eyes and looked in the direction of the noise I saw a doorway leading into a hallway. Hell, did those Rare Hunter bastards kidnap me again? Shit...

Quietly I stood up, trying my hardest not to make a sound as I crept towards the doorway. I leaned against the wall next to it to try and hear something hopefully important. "You have any idea what that vision was?," an ever so slightly high pitched voice asked.

"...I'm not sure. The last time I saw anything like this was those flashes I had at the museum. Though I've never seen her before...she could be related to the ancient past I've been searching for." My eyes widened slightly; that was Yugi's voice if I remembered correctly. What the hell is he talking about...?

"You think she could be related to what Ishisu told us?"

"Perhaps," Yugi answered. "She might know more about this than even she herself knows..."

"Even still, couldn't hurt to have more help right? With those Rare Hunters roaming around we need all the help we can get," the slightly higher voice replied back.

What in the hell is going on... I decided I couldn't hold back any longer; I stepped out into the hallway firmly. "Hey, mind telling me what's happening here?" Yugi was leaning against the wall, his hands in his pockets as he looked back to me, blinking slightly. I could have sworn for a brief second that I was seeing double, but I quickly shook it off; there was no way I was seeing two of the same person standing before me.

Speaking of which, said duelist was still staring at me, and for some reason he hesitated before he spoke. "...Oh, you're awake, that's good." He nodded slightly. "After you collapsed I wasn't sure what to do, but I couldn't just leave you there, so I brought you to my place. It was the closest."

I placed a hand on my hip, leaning to one side slightly. "Thanks then, I suppose." I wasn't sure how to bring up the fact that I had a vision as soon as our hands met...how in the hell did that even work in a conversation to begin with? I had no idea why it had even happened!

Fortunately for me, he answered one of my questions before I even asked it. "I must ask you, do you remember what you saw before you lost consciousness?"

"...Did you see anything?" I had no clue why I asked that, but for some reason...I felt I had to know.

He nodded in response, "Not more than a few clear flashes, but I know what I saw." He stepped closer to me, holding out an object in his hand. "Here, I think this belongs to you." I reached out and grabbed it from his hand, realizing that it was my pocket knife I had pulled out earlier. "You're cautious, to be carrying that around with you," he noted, causing me to nod.

"Well, you saw what I had following me. Can't be too careful." He chuckled quietly.

"Yes, you have a point." His expression turned serious once more. "Those visions you saw, have you had them before?"

I shook my head. "Not really."

"No times where you believed you should do something for no reason? Things you felt you had to do though for no reason other than what you felt?" I let out a dry chuckle.

True enough, I /had/ had things like that happen to me before. Most people called it blind luck, but something in me told me otherwise. If I was one to believe in precognition and fate, I would have called it such. I had always had an uncanny notion to know if I was about to draw the card I needed, and I had the same notion when it came to what I called "deja vu moments"-moments when I would vividly remember doing something very specific, though I knew it had never happened before in my life.

...That didn't mean I wasn't skeptical to the whole thing. "I don't think I get it," I lied; he clearly didn't notice though as he shook his head.

"Perhaps I'm going about this the wrong way. Do you believe in destiny, that a lot of things were meant to happen?" I stared at him for a long moment, contemplating his words. They were strange, to say the least. He could see the skepticism in my expression, because he went on. "If those visions that we both saw were anything to go on, you may be able to help me."

My eyebrows went up, "Help you with what?"

"There's something I need to show you, if you don't mind coming with me." I bit the inside of my cheek in thought. Sure, he seemed nice enough, but what he was saying sounded almost insane.

"...You do know how crazy you sound, right?"

He chuckled once more, "Yes, I know it must seem strange. I know it may not be easy to believe, especially because we just met, but...trust me. I can give you some answers about all this."

"...Alright, but on one condition." He nodded. "There's something that has been bothering me since I overheard your conversation from earlier."

"And that is?"

I crossed my arms over my chest; as crazy as the words that were about to come out of my mouth were, I had to ask them. "...There was no one else here talking...you were alone. Who the hell were you talking to?" His eyes widened, and he went quiet for a long moment, glancing to the side as he thought.

I...could have sworn I saw the outline of another person standing next to him, someone who looked eerily similar to his appearance.

Yugi noticed me staring at it too, because he shifted his eyes back to me, causing my gaze to turn back to him. "...Do you see anyone else standing here before you?," he asked quietly. I stared back at him for a long second before I nodded. His eyes widened slightly before he closed them, a small smile appearing on his face. "With your seeming connection to the ancient past I can't say I'm surprised." He opened his eyes to look back at me. "What I am about to show you, you must tell no one you know. I highly doubt they would believe you. They would probably find you as crazy as you find my words." I nodded again, too curious to what he was about to show me to concern myself with that. I hardly knew anyone in this city to begin with, so who would I tell, really?

After I nodded in confirmation he stepped back slightly, closing his eyes as the gold pyramid around his neck began to glow. It blinded me for a moment, causing me to shield my eyes from the light it produced.

...When I lowered my hand once more, my eyes widened in shock.

Standing before me was a shorter, more wide-eyed version of the duelist that had been there moments before. Sure, he looked an awful lot like the former person, but I could tell—they were not the same. They were two different people. "...what the hell is..."

The person before me smiled. "I know, this is kinda crazy, right? I sure didn't believe it myself at first." It was the voice from earlier, the same, slightly higher pitched voice that I had heard (who I thought at the time was) Yugi talking to.

...I was at a loss for words. "Wait...so...are you..."

He nodded, "Yeah, I'm Yugi Moto. It's nice to meet you Catalyna." I blinked before I held up a hand, tilting my head to the side in question.

"Wait, are you telling me there's two of you?" He laughed, shaking his head.

"Well, yes and no. We're in the same body, sure, and we look a lot alike, but we're two different people." I crossed my arms over my chest.

"So, when this...other you introduced himself...that's why he said your name..."

"Yeah, avoids a lot of problems that way. Would be kinda hard to explain to everyone I meet. That's why he asked you not to say anything to anyone else."

I nodded, "Makes sense. Don't worry though. I don't know too many people. Your secret's safe with me." He nodded as well before I continued. "I gotta ask though...if he's not you, then who is he?"

He scratched his head as he looked up in thought. "That's...a hard question to answer. He really doesn't even know who he is. I started calling him Pharaoh...but that wasn't that long ago actually." He shrugged as he looked back to me. "He doesn't really remember much of his past, which is part of the reason we're entering the tournament. Ishisu says he'll find the answers if we enter."

"I heard you mention her before...who is she?"

"She...ah wait, hold on." He closed his eyes and the light appeared once more, disappearing as the 'other Yugi' took his place. His voice was so much deeper as he spoke once more. "I think she should be the one to explain. She'll probably be able to explain it much better than I can." He crossed his arms as well. "That is, if you believe me enough to go with me."

It took a long moment of thought before I nodded, "The way I see it, you've already given me reason to trust you. If I really wanted to I could spread the word about how you think there's another person living inside you and make everyone think you're crazy." I smiled briefly. "I don't think I'm gonna do that though." He laughed heartily.

"I sure hope you don't. But I don't think you will either." He smiled back at me after a moment. "I think you're a better person than that. And you look like you want answers." Reaching into his pocket he pulled out a piece of paper, holding it out to me.

"What's this...?," I asked, reaching out to take it.

"It's the address of the Domino Museum. Meet me there tomorrow, around noon, and I'll get you some answers, I promise you." I nodded and took the paper from his hand, brushing my hand against his accidentally.

It was brief, but for a moment our gazes locked, and I could have sworn up and down that we had been in this exact position before, staring at each other like the world had stopped. It was even complete with a split second flash of the two of us in totally different clothing, though where or how it even was, I had no idea. It was strange, and completely unexpected...

And I'd be lying if I said it didn't freak me out to high hell.

His eyes widened, as did mine before I quickly pulled my hand away, stuffing the small scrap of paper into one of the pockets on my pants. I deftly avoided his gaze, turning away from him and back towards where I had entered the hallway. "...Did you happen to pick up my things?," I began after a moment, having to swallow the thick feeling in my throat before doing so.

"...Yes, they're on the table next to the front door," he said finally after a lingering silence, extending his arm and pointing with a finger down the hallway, where a window-paned door showed the moonlight peeking from behind the clouds that had started to move in. Noting the table and my shopping bag of food laying on it I quickly made my way over to it, picking up the bag by the handles before looking back over to him. His eyes were still on me and he had hardly moved since letting his hand back down to his side.

I honestly wasn't sure what to make of all this.

"...I really should be getting home," I uttered quietly, causing him to blink and shake his head rapidly. He nodded at me after doing so.

"Of course. Will you be alright by yourself?" He walked up to me as he spoke, stopping at the door to unlock it. "Although...I feel that is a foolish question to ask you." I blinked before I let out a chuckle; despite everything that had just happened he was still friendly.

That was rare in my experience. "Yeah, I'll be fine. I don't think the Rare Hunters will screw with me anymore tonight after what happened earlier."

He nodded once more, opening the door and holding it open for me as I made my exit. "Be careful all the same Catalyna. You never know." I turned and looked back to him, nodding in affirmation before he shut the door gently. As I heard the lock click I turned once more, heading back down the sidewalk a little faster than I meant to.

I had never met anyone who had been IN my visions before.

...Either I needed some serious sleep, or the visions I had were finally driving me insane.
