hey here's the revised chapter 2! for my new readers, thanks for hanging in there ;)

We stop on the way back to our apartment to get food. Christina gets a burger, which is unusual for her. Normally she gets a salad. Uriah also gets a burger, I get a sandwich, and Tobias gets a salad. He's so health-conscious- except when it comes to Dauntless cake. Predictably, Tobias grabs a piece of cake. He chooses the biggest piece, knowing that I'm going to steal some as well. We get back to the apartment shortly thereafter, and I barely have time to steal Tobias' cake before Christina pulls me into my bedroom, away from the ears of our boyfriends.

"Hey, could you come to my OB appointment? I don't want to go by myself because then you get really judgy looks and I can't take Uriah because he doesn't know yet and I don't know if I'm ready to tell him and-" Christina's very anxious, she's talking so fast.

"Yeah of course I'll go with you. You know I'm always here for you." I say, giving her an assuring smile.

A couple years ago, our friend group began to break apart. Everyone spread rumors and started attacking each other. It was pretty bad. Uriah wasn't involved because at the time, he wasn't really part of our group. He came to our parties, but he didn't interact as much as the rest of us. I think part of it was because he was a Dauntless-born and we were all transfers.

Then he broke up with Marlene. Almost immediately, he approached Christina, telling her he's liked her for a long time. It was kind of strange that it happened so fast, but Christina started to go out with him anyways. She said he was the one. That she had never felt like that before. That she was in love with him.

As we've grown to know him, he's turned out to be a really cool guy. The only weird thing is, sometimes he asks Tobias and I really personal questions. For example, about a year ago, at truth or dare, he asked us how often we spent in our apartment on average, in hours. And a couple months ago, Tobias told me went in the dining hall to get lunch, and Uriah was sitting in the corner, staring at him the entire time.

A few days ago, the weirdest thing happened. Tobias and I hosted truth or dare in our apartment. Uriah disappeared for a bit, and when I went into our bedroom to get something, there he was. It was kinda weird and intrusive. I'm just telling myself that he got lost looking for the bathroom.

Chris knows about the weird questions, but I have yet to tell her about the incident a few days ago. However, I do think Uriah would make a great father. He's optimistic, funny, and his brother is a leader. No one will think twice about messing with their child.

She squeals at my reply, doing a little dance before hugging me tight. I smile and pull her close, grateful for our friendship.

She pulls away from me and I can't help but feel like I need to tell someone about my possible… baby. I take a deep breath, "I think I could beeprenskgsjnt." I say quickly.

"What? You could be what?"

I blush, playing with the strings of the blanket we're sitting on. "There's a possibility… that I'm pregnant."

Her eyes widen and her gaze shifts to my stomach, "Oh my god. What?"

I bite my lip, meeting her eyes, "Yeah. My doctor took me off my pill, and I forgot to tell Four."

She's silent for a minute before speaking again. "Well," she begins. "I think it's sweet… our kids will grow up together. And besides, you know Four will be a great dad. With what you've told me about him and how I see him act when he's with you, it'll be good. It's good." She says, as if to reassure herself more than me.

"Ok. Maybe you're right. Maybe it'll be okay." I refrain from telling her about my apprehension about Tobias' reaction.

"So… have you taken a test yet?"

I shake my head, "It was only yesterday. It won't even be detectable yet. I just had to tell someone and get it off my chest, ya know?"

She nods, "Yeah, I get it. I-" Suddenly, Tobias comes in. Crap.

"Hey Chris." he greets, heading into our closet. He comes out a few seconds later, pulling a hoodie on over his head.

"The training room isn't cold, Four." I joke, eager to lighten the mood. "Besides, we're going to be in the same room if you need something to warm you up."

I wink at him and Christina squeals, hitting my arm. "Tris!"

He laughs. "I have to check something in the control room, Zeke called a couple minutes ago and said he needed help with some of the wiring; apparently it short circuited itself or something."

"Oh. Just make sure you're back in time to train for at least half the class. I'm still new at this, you know." He nods, giving me a kiss goodbye.

Christina glances at me once he leaves, offering a smile. "See? It'll be fine."

I nod, plastering a smile on my face, but I still feel nervous.

I enter the training room about 5 minutes later and see the initiates chatting amongst themselves. I cough loudly to get their attention, but no one looks up except a small Erudite girl, whom I later identify as Elle. "Be quiet!" I yell. The noise continues.

I take 3 knives from the table and throw them at the targets, hitting bullseye with each one.

The room is dead silent.

"Get good enough, you'll be able to do that with your eyes closed. But you'll never be better than me or Four." I pause, "Now everyone grab a knife and line up in front of a target."

"I have a question." It's the same boy that spoke out yesterday. He's going to be an issue, isn't he? Ugh.

"What?" I snap, hoping to imply I don't want to deal with his shit.

"Why do we need to know this? It's not like I'm going to need to know how to hit a target anytime in my actual life."

I hear the door open behind me and see Tobias. He smirks at the boy as he walks up to him.

"Actually," Tobias says, "You will. Stand up in front of that target there. I want to show you something."

"Uh..."

"Do it!" He barks. He lifts his sweatshirt and takes his gun out of the holster on his waist, turns the safety off and cocks a bullet into place.

"You better not shoot me, I can sue! My parents will make sure you never touch a gun again!" The boy spits.

"Just stand in front of the target." I say, keeping the initiates behind me.

I don't know what Tobias is going to do- he hasn't done anything like this since he was 18. I just have to trust that he's not going to do anything stupid.

He aims right above the boy's head and shoots. The shot echoes throughout the room, but the boy was not hit.

The boy- Austin- walks away towards his friends, muttering something under his breath. The room erupts into a mass of loud voices and hushed whispers.

"Show some respect!" Tobias yells as I grab a knife.

There are faint whispers as I move up to in front of the room. "Each board counts the number of times you miss, and by how much. This will be a factor in the elimination of the 1st round."

I throw the first knife. Bullseye.

I move to the second target. Bullseye.

Finally, I move to the third. In. Out. Throw. Perfect center.

The initiates stand, shocked. "Get throwing!" I yell. They all run up to the tables, grabbing knives and beginning to throw.

Tobias and I walk up to each of the initiates individually, showing them how to throw. "What if I don't make it through?" A small girl, Elle, asks me as I correct her posture. Elle is a small girl from Erudite, an okay thrower, and a girl I have come to like.

"Don't worry," I say, "Just do your best." She gives me a faint smile and keeps throwing.

A petite blonde girl approaches me as I correct everyone's aim. She's one of the ones who was ogling Tobias yesterday. "Six." She says. "Can I ask you something? Girl to girl?"

"Yeah." I say. She's probably just nervous about the mixed dormitories.

"Is Four single?" She asks. I clench my jaw. "Or have you heard anything about him?"

"He's 5 years older than you." I say, raising my eyebrows.

She puts her hand on her hip, "So?"

I stare at her, "He's has a girlfriend for a few years."

"Oh." She says, her eyes meeting the floor. "What if I-"

"Actually, I do know something you might find interesting." I say with a grin. She nods. "I can tell you who his girlfriend is."

"I'm gonna fight that bitch." She mumbles. I nearly burst out laughing.

"Me." I state. She stares at me, her jaw nearly dropping to the ground.

"What… No, I-"

Tobias speaks up, effectively cutting her off. "Keep going!" He yells at the class.

I raise my eyebrows at her. "Keep going." I say, grabbing her shoulders and pushing her back into class.

By 7:00, almost everyone has hit the target once and they're done for the day. Honestly, I just want to go home and cuddle with Tobias and do nothing, and talk about nothing. But I can't. I have to review and fill our paperwork for the apartment because our lease is up.

And honestly, I kind of feel like crying. I feel so alone. I can't even tell my own boyfriend about his baby. It's so fucked up.

"Hey," Tobias says, "Tris. You okay? You zoned out for a bit."

"What? I'm fine... let's just go back to our place. I have to fill some paperwork out anyways."

He kisses me on the forehead, "Okay…" His eyes meet mine. He knows something is wrong. "You know if you need anything or if you need to talk, I'm here, right?"

I nod, pulling him into a hug. "Yeah, I know."

please let me know what u thought :)
