"Alright Grim, try the Darkness Flamethrower one more time." Raz watched as his dog poke shot out a black flame. They had decided to pass their time on the ship with practice. The other were doing various things to pass the time. Zion was in a giant pool on the deck of the ship where he was swimming with his Pokemon. Kira was with Sara and Rayne as they went shopping in the stores below the surface. Kirlia had decided to walk off on her own for a bit.
"Great going buddy. Now Articuno. I want you to see if you can freeze the flames." The bird sung out as a blast of blue lightning shot and hit the black flames. It didn't do anything to the heat fire, so she increased the power. After a few moments, she managed to freeze a tiny part that fell to the ground. Grim halted the flames quickly then.
"It took her too much energy. The flames won't be stopped easily." The dog bounded over to the bird and licked the baby, making her giggle. Raz laughed and set some water and food down for the pair. He pulled out a sandwich and bottle of water for himself as he sat down and began wondering what the others were doing.

"That's pretty cool." Sara looked as Kira began reading the various types of pokeballs the shop had. She had found a new Flame-ball that would catch Fire Pokemon easier. Next to it was a line of different balls for each type.
"Maybe. Why don't you get some? Aren't all your Pokemon Fire?" She looked as her question stopped the girl.
"Well, yeah, but I'm going to try and catch some more types this time. I only caught those before to annoy my parents. They always liked Water or Electric types. I guess it was kinda foolish of me to do that though, huh." She laughed lightly as she picked up a pack of the various types. As they checked out, Rayne came running up to them.
"I think we should rejoin with Raz and Zi. I saw someone that was staring at me oddly." The other 2 shrugged and followed her.
"Who would be after us? Rocket was defeated and no one has seen Giovanni since. Maybe it was just a creepy guy." Kira looked as the other 2 thought about it. Finally, the head girl let out a sigh.
"I guess I'm just paranoid. It's just that the guy looked eerily familiar to me." The other 2 patted her on the back as they continued toward the deck.
"It's alright. We should probably see what they think about it anyways." As they walked out the doors, a cloaked man stepped out and followed them.
"Target sighted. Permission to engage?" Eddy spoke into a microphone on a headset and waited for the response.
"Permission granted. Remember that target is the male leader. Others may be terminated." The voice of Ian answered as a metallic tone edged into it. Eddy bounded up the stairs and out onto the surface, behind the unsuspecting girls.

"That was a great swim guys. As I promised, here's cake!" Zion reached around and pulled out a giant tray of different cakes as his Pokemon all cheered. They enjoyed them, Omnivee and Zion enjoying twice as much, until they saw the girls heading for them.
"Hey Zi, have you seen Raz and Kirlia? We need to talk to everyone." Kira watched as the group finished their treats before they were all recalled.
"Not since we split earlier. He said something about training with Grim and Articuno though, so he might be in the training floor below or the open field on here. Wanna check em out?" He had already slid into his shirt and sandals as he stood up. They all suddenly turned as a laugh came from behind them.
"That won't be necessary. Why not rest and wait for him to come to you?" As Eddy spoke, an Alakazam began sending out wave toward the group. They all fell down and passed out listening to the laugh of the Rocket member.

"You 2 ready?" Raz stood and stretched as his partners finished their food. Grim suddenly jumped up and started growling. "What's up?"
"I smell Rocket." The young man recalled the baby bird and took off with his dog leading the way. They sprinted past people who stared as they hurried by. They turned and ran into the ship, down stairs and into the boiler room. Here Grim slowed and sniffed around carefully.
"The others are here also. I can smell them, but the Rocket came in and left." Raz nodded as they eased through the pipes and into the main area. He looked around as his partner continued sniffing the air. Had they looked up, they would have saw their friends hanging by a rope around them. Kira saw him and tried to yell, but tape held all their mouths together.
"Up!" Kirlia appeared on a side of the room and pointed toward the group as Raz saw and heard her.
"Hang on guys!" They started looking around for a way to lower the others down safely. They didn't here Eddy approach until it was too late.
"Very nice. All the ones we wanted all together. This should be fun." Alakazam was next to him and started firing off the waves that had knocked the others out. Grim moved between Raz and the waves didn't pass the dog as he continued to growl.
"Haven't you learned that it won't work on him? You Rocket members sure are a stupid bunch." As he taunted the man, Kirlia read the thoughts and started lowering the others. Eddy let a smirk cross his face as he watched them.
"We did actually, and we decided to use a new attack to beat your mutt. Alakazam, Alter Beam." The beam came out, but moved at a slower rate. As Grim jumped out of the way, it sped up and headed for his partner. Kirlia saw it and teleported as the others dropped to the ground from a safe enough distance that the ropes slid off as they watched the events.
"No!" Kirlia appeared and took the beam as it went into her. She started glowing in a spectrum of colors before falling to the ground. Eddy was as shocked as the group.
"Kirlia! Kirlia, wake up! Please wake up!" Raz shook the poke with no results. His body raised as a purple aura came off him, but not near as big as ever before. "YOU!"
They watched as both Grim and Raz flew at the opponents. The dog jumped over the Psychic foe and released his Darkness Flamethrower, setting the poke ablaze. Their leader began punching the older man as hard as he could in the stomach in rapid succession.
The attacks continued as the pair were enraged. Grim bit and threw his opponent into red pipes, causing it to become badly burnt. Eddy backed away enough to recall the poke before he took off up the stairs. When he made it to the deck, he turned only to see a boot swing around and connect with the side of his face. The people walking watched as the younger man beat the older one to a bloody pulp. He finished with an uppercut that hurled the foe over the side of the ship.
Raz watched as the body floated in the sea before he ran back below to check on his friends. They were gathered around the little poke that had taken the mystery attack. He picked her up and they all headed above to the ship's Poke-Center. The Joy told them the scans showed nothing wrong as she left the room.
"How can nothing be wrong if she wont wake up?" Kira was crying as she laid her head on Raz's knee. He just watched and pet the girl's head to try and ease her.
"I don't know. Maybe she just needs rest. I wish I could hear again." He lowered his head as he tried to use his lost power.
"What about Abra?" Rayne looked up at them as the thought came to her. "Maybe Abra can look in and see if something is wrong with her." The group all turned to see Raz nod. She pulled the ball out and released the little Psychic who rubbed his eyes.
"Abra, can you do us a favor? We saw Kirlia get hit by an attack we've never heard of before called Alter Beam. Can you see if she's alright?" Raz was almost pleading as the poke yawned and then touched Kirlia's head. As soon as he did, he connected with her partner so he could see it. Once the vision ended, he fell back into his seat.
"Ah crap. This is bad. The beam alters the memories of the one hit. She's about to wake up, so whatever she says, just go with it. We need to find a way to reverse it, but upsetting her won't help. Kira, get to her side quickly, and the rest of you, go into the hall. Abra will explain it all to you."
The group rushed out as Rayne picked up the poke, who yawned as they left. Kira knelt down as she saw her sister start to wake. As the poke's eyes opened, she turned and saw the human's smiling faces. Tears formed as she jumped up and grabbed the girl into a tight hug.
"Oh momma and papa, I had a horrible nightmare." She was crying as Kira looked to her boyfriend with wide-eyes. He just wrapped his arms around them.
"It's all alright. Your awake now and the nightmares can't hurt you." Tears formed in both human's eyes, as the realization of how very bad their situation had just turned. Outside in the hall, Abra relayed everything before he was recalled.
"He was right." The 2 girls turned and saw Zion slump against a wall. He looked up and had the same face as Raz had had when he saw the vision. "Ah crap."

A/N: The new attack has been fired, but the targt wasn't hit! What will happen now as the group tries to reverse their poke-friend back to her regular self? What will Eddy do as a result of the butt-whiping he recieved from and angry Raz? Will I stop asking questions? Probably not. Things get a bit more complicated in the next chapter. See ya then.
