"I'm tired as heck." Kuki groaned. Talia giggled like a school girl. "I'm feeling like snot." Kuki kept joking. Suddenly, Talia paused. "Are you okay?" Kuki asked. Talia seemed uncomfortable...she sighed.

"Yesterday...Fanny Fulbright died my sister green." She confessed. Kuki gasped. "First me...then my sister." She said sadly. "It's Fanny's way of telling me to back off of Wally or else my friends and family will be pulled into this. That's why I act so enthusiastic about Ace. It's all an act." She said. Kuki nodded.

"Karma will come." Kuki said.

"Karma's a bitch." Kuki and Talia looked up to see Rachel. Talia placed her hand on Kuki's lower back and pushed her down. She then bowed herself. She pulled Kuki back up when she had finished bowing. Kuki was dizzy from that quick bow. Rachel smirked. "You don't have to bow to me. I'm not as stuck up as Fanny and Ace." She said.

"What about Wally?" Kuki asked before thinking. Talia sighed inwardly and Kuki noticed her mistake, NEVER talk about a monarch unless you are a monarch and never call a Monarch by their first name. The honorific 'Monarch' must be spoken first followed by their name.

"He um..." Rachel seemed to be glaring at her now for saying Wally's name. "He doesn't care...it rather annoys him for peasants like yourself to do so." She said, seemingly patronizing Kuki in a way. Kuki nodded.

"I'm grateful that you shared you're knowledge with me." Kuki tried being as nice as she could. Rachel cringed. Kuki was worshiping her incorrectly and it both annoyed her and made her feel uncomfortable in multiple ways. She wanted to silence the girl before something else stupid escaped her lips.

"Look, you don't have to go on treating me like God, I'm just a monarch." She said. "And maybe it'd make you cooler if you didn't speak to me and stayed away from me." She said, turning to leave. Kuki sighed after she left. Talia looked at her.

"Well you're on Rachel's hate list." She said. "She hates anyone who annoys her or even bugs her just the tiniest bit."

"I'm also on one of the boys'." Kuki said. "He caught me and I didn't know who he was, so he got mad." Kuki explained in frustration, shoving her face into her hands and groaning. Why did she have to screw up so badly yesterday. There couldn't have been a worse first day in the history of first days. Besides it was 11th grade and everyone already had their friends, a new girl wasn't really important enough to be bothered with.

"That's bad..." Talia said. "2 Monarchs." She sighed. "At least it's not Wally's hate list...right?" Talia's eyes widened. Kuki shrugged. "If Monarch Wally hates you, you minds well just jump off the top of the Empire State Building right now. No parachute, no net, you're set." She explained.

"I don't know if it was him or not..." Kuki mumbled. Talia sighed. The bell made them both rush to their first class. Kuki finally got to English on time and paused as she walked in. It was dead silent in the room, she could hear her own breathing, which she tried to silence. She felt uncomfortable. She walked slowly to the back room. Everyone was staring at her in pity and after only 24 hours she knew exactly why.

"Wally's gonna find out now." A girl said.

"He's here today? Finally!" Another swooned.

"I can't wait to see what Wally does!" A boy said excitedly.

"I want to see if he will let Fanny beat her up." A girl smirked cruelly. Kuki recalled her name being something along the lines of Sophie. Sophie Hill. Yea, that was her.

"That's a bit mean." Another girl named Vanessa Pike spoke up softly.

"Screw You, Vanessa!" Sophie sneered, silencing the other girl who squeaked.

"SHHHHHH!" Someone hushed.

"SHHHHHH!" Someone shushed.

"Class, sh-ing doesn't help." The teacher explained. Kuki tensed up...so the boy yesterday must have been Ace, cause everyone was excited that Wally had shown up today, so he must have been absent yesterday, meaning the boy who caught her was Ace. In the middle row sat fanny on the end by the door, Rachel next to Fanny, and empty seat, and Ace on the end by the window. Class started and Kuki didn't know whether she was trembling from excitement, she would meet the head monarch of the school, or from fear, she sat in his seat. He probably wanted her dead now. Class was boring...Wally must have been there, but he probably was wandering around the school like he's allowed to, he wouldn't get in trouble anyway, his stupid parents would pay the school to make up for it. Kuki sighed and let her eyes flutter...she was still tired. No later than a second after she had drifted into sleepy land a scream yanked her from her slumber.

"I don't give a damn!" Everyone jumped in their seats. Kuki's eyes were wide open...talk about tired, she was wide awake now. "I'll have my foot so far up your-." It grew silent. "SCREW YOU!" Everyone in the room wasn't moving. Kuki was nervous as she noticed it must be the other boy monarch. She gulped, Wally Beatles was here. "You think I'll except your freaking offer? I don't give one crud about it! SCREW YOUR OFFER, SCREW YOUR FAMILY, AND SCREW YOU!" The door flung open. Kuki froze and everyone in the room tensed.

"About time Wallabee." Ace smirked, being the first to speak.

"Shut the hell up." Kuki heard. "Get out here you morons." Kuki flinched. This boy was rude and abused his power. He knew he was in control and he loved to show it off. The 3 monarchs exited the classroom. "Class Dismissed." The voice said again. The teacher said nothing as students rushed out. So this boy had a lot of power. Kuki sighed...she had to stay out of his way.

"I love you Wally." A girl said as she left.

"Prostitute." Kuki heard the boy say.

"Have a g-good day sir." A boy said.

"Kiss up!" Kuki heard the boy respond. "Kiss my-." The entire hall grew silent as Kuki exited the room. Everyone was staring at her. She turned to see the boy finally. He had a shock of shiny blonde hair and it was cut into a shaggy bowl cut, which went down to his nose. His uniform; perfect, it looked like he had taken all the time in the world to get dress. He had an orange tie instead of black like everyone else. He obviously didn't care that he was breaking dress code, it was practically his school. What would the principal do? Give him a detention? His face held a twisted expression of anger and confusion. "The fuck?" He asked, anger clear in his tone. Kuki panicked, that's why everyone was talking to him as they left. She hadn't said anything yet and so now he was upset. She was so confused. She does something, they hate her. She does nothing at all and they still find a way to hate her. She wanted so much to curl up in a little ball and go back home with her friends Abby, Nigel, and Hoagie. Oh how she wished...would that day ever come? Perhaps she could spend the upcoming spring break there. Yes, there...the place where she was happy not here where she couldn't event speak intelligently.

"Um..." Kuki didn't know what to say. The blonde growled angrily and moved forward. Ace held him back and smirked. Kuki wondered what he would have done had Ace not managed to hold him back. Hit her? Was it acceptable to hit girls? He was a monarch, what would anyone care anyway.

"She's a newbie." Ace said and in those three words a new emotion took over the blonde's face.

"Oh I see." Wally muttered, putting a cigarette in his mouth and lighting it. "A Newbie, A newbitch. Same thing." He said. Kuki didn't like his use of language to describe her, but she knew better to talk directly to a Monarch. She had already ticked them off way past their boiling point. It would be best to keep her mouth shut unless eh wanted to dig herself deeper into the hole she was currently huddled in. Wally took a puff of his cigarette as he approached Kuki. He leaned slightly down so they were eye level. "Stay the FUCK out of my way, bitch." Wally stated. He snapped his fingers and began walking away, the other Monarchs followed quickly. Monarchs worshiping a monarch...how weird. Kuki was left to stand, the whole hallway staring at her. As the monarchs turned the corner, everyone quickly resume what they were doing...some even ran off to spread what had happened.

"I can't believe you did that!" Talia exclaimed, appearing beside Kuki and almost causing her to have a heart attack. "You stepped up to a Monarch! The KING of Monarchs!" She paced back and forth. Kuki was close to crying...how that boy described her...it hurt...his language, every other word was a swear word. "You are probably like dead to him now..." Talia guessed. "I'd stay out of his way." She suggested. Kuki gaped.

"I didn't even do anything." She said flabbergasted. Talia shrugged.

"I still think it would be best to avoid him." She chimed in.

"No way! I have to get back on his good side." Kuki said. Talia's eyes widened.

"NO!" She shouted. "Bothering him will only make him more angry!" She warned. "You don't want to do that. He barely distributes his attention to any one. He hardly pays attention in class, Kuki what would make you so special?" Talia asked rhetorically, but Kuki took it the wrong way and snapped before she even thought about the consequences of her next words.

"Says the girl that he doesn't even notice," She spat. Talia gasped. "Talia. Wait, I'm sor-." Before Kuki could finish, Talia ran off. Kuki sighed. That was her only friend. Now she had no one. She was screwed. The Monarchs hated her, she had no friends, and...she just wanted to be back home with Nigel, Abby, and Hoagie.

"How am I going to survive this?" She whimpered.
