So I realize half of you have probably given up on me and the other half hates my guts, but lets not dwell on that, alright? I'm gonna try my best to update regularly.

I was pacing the front lawn, my crew sitting behind me.

"10 minutes. He's ten minutes late. He's not coming." I said worried. Yes, I the same Max that didn't want him to show am now worried that he won't show. I'm nervous, okay? Get over it.

"Look! Look! That's him!" Jamie squealed, pointing up in the sky.

Not two seconds later, a strawberry blonde is diving down towards the house. I watch as he lands gracefully, more graceful than the last I'd seen him, might I mention. He looked around and bounced happily in our direct- He looked around? He looked around. He looked around!

"Hey Max!" He ran over and scooped me up in a huge hug. I heard Jake tense behind me. So I hugged him back. Smart right?

He set me back down on my own two feet and grinned. And stared. And stared. I waved my hand in front of his face and he flinched.

Now, I like to think I'm a calm person. For example, when he flinched I whirled backwards, a genuine WTF look on my face. "You can see me." Way to elaborate Max.

"Yep." He nodded and waltzed right into my house. The girls followed and I laughed. You could practically see the hearts in their eyes. Maxx waddled after them, singing, of course.

Jake stood outside with me. "I don't like him." His face seemed cold and hard compared to the bright, beautiful smile I'd seen earlier.

I stuck my tongue out at him and walked after the kids. "It's cause he hugged me huh?" I chuckled as he sputtered and blushed.

Jacob has been openly crushing on me for about a year. So of course he's not gonna like Iggy. Or any other high school aged boy around.

I walked into a storytime circle on the floor in my living room. The kids were huddled around poor Iggy, who was telling them about the time I tried to coo-

"HEY! Girls, computer! Maxx, room!" I yelled, sending them off and away. I plopped down across from Iggy. "So, how's life?"

Iggy watched my girls work as he spoke...Note to self: Slap some sense into him. "I moved out. Live with adoptive parents. They're cool, but it gets boring. I guess going from running for your life to normal high school's a challenge." I laughed with him.

"KIDS! DOWN NOW!" I called. They filed into the room, each focused on something else. "Now that we have Ig here, it'll be a hell of a lot easier to talk to everyone else." They all nodded and Iggy beamed. I rolled my eyes and went on.

"First order of business. Who are we finding next?"

Silence.

"Suggestions Iggy?"

He hesitated. "I talked to Gasman a while back and he said he's pretty bored. I could convince him, if Angel comes along too. But she'll only come if we get everyone." I sighed at this news.

"What about Nudge?" Kat tried. "She sounds fun." I sighed again. Nudge is a different problem. She wants to be normal, therefore taking that is a definite no.

"Nudge will be difficult."

"What about Fa-"

"Shut up Iggy." He grinned knowingly and shrugged.

"Well, I tried."

"Nudge. We're going for Nudge." Iggy nodded, and the gang seemingly agreed. Jamie shot to the computer, immediately searching for clues and such.

I stood and walked upstairs. "Ig, you can go to your room. It's a bit dus-"

"You saved my room?"

"Yes, I was saying that it's dus-"

"Oh my gosh, I can see it!" He shot up the stairs like a rocket, knocking me into Jake, who, of course, was at my heel. I walked up the stairs and stopped, laughing.

Two screams were heard simultaneously, one in happiness, the other terrified. I walked into the room, amused.

Akila was on the floor, sitting at Iggy's feet, rambling on. Shadow and Luke (totally Jamie's idea) were laughing hysterically and Sheer, her third and youngest pup was screaming her head off, excited at Iggy's presence. She matched his scream of fear.

"Sheer terror!" Luke joked and they rolled around, cackling maniacally.

Akila finally understood the situation and picked up Sheer, walking out followed by her other children. Iggy finally quieted and gasped. "I can see, she can talk, next thing you know, you'll be green with purple hair." He flopped onto his old bed and smiled.

"I love you big sister." He said like a little kid.

"I love me too, now do something with yourself, we need to find Nudge in the morning." I shut the door and walked down the hall.

"Max, we found her. But it was hard. Her name's Alanis now. Weird right?" Kat said softly.

"Okay, get your butts to bed. We have a busy schedule tomorrow!" I ruffled her hair and kept walking.

I watched the kids (and dogs, but they're practically kids) file off to bed. I slowly headed to my own, ready for sleep.

But it's not that simple, huh?

It's not my best, but it's alright considering I haven't updated since the beginning of summer, right? BTW, I felt like the second chapter was rushed, so I redid it. Hope you like. I also have another coming for you tonight so...yeah.
