As Magolor jumped on top of Susie, the female shut her eyes and squirmed about. "I can't go through this again!" With all her might she punched the corrupted Magolor in the face, bruising his cheek. The dark heart launched itself out its host, shaking on the ground. Susie panted heavily and it shook a bit. She ignored the dark heart for now, checking up on Magolor instead.
The mage was knocked out cold. His breathing was slow, chest moving up and down. She went to shake him in hopes of waking him up, but as she expected, he didn't stir awake. "What am I supposed to do now, I'm alone in the woods, Magolor tried to attack me,a dark heart was the cause of my rape, and I'm naked." Susie groaned. She couldn't walk all the way back to civilization, what if people saw her? Or even worse, what if someone tried to assault her?
The secretary's thoughts spiraled out of control as her vision got blurry. Nova why was she thinking of this now? She was safe here with Magolor, so why did she feel so scared. Oh wait, was it because Magolor almost raped her and then proceeded to get knocked out cold? Oh Zero, she didn't care, she just wanted some company. She didn't feel safe with all these Bronto Burts staring at her. "I think some of them even watched me get raped" Susie thought to herself. Susie's breathing grew ragged as she laid beside Magolor. It was cold without any form of protection, so Susie bundled up in Magolor's cloak. It didn't offer much heat, but it at least made her feel safe. Safe from Taranza and his torture. Just thinking about him now made her feel guilty. If she hadn't gone to tease him while he was mourning his queen, none of what had happened would even exist.
Susie couldn't muster up anymore tears, as she had cried so much tonight. She instead whimpered and curled up closer to the Halacandrian. His body provided her with warmth, something she hadn't felt since she went outside. She didn't want to admit it, but the ground felt nice. Yes she was sophisticated and clean, but something about the feeling of the grass made her calm. She sighed as she felt the grass tickle her fingers.
But there was something off. Susie was safe here with Magolor, but there was a feeling in her stomach that made her feel weird. Was it perhaps the fact that she was lying on dirt and grass? Whatever, she was starting to get a migraine just thinking about this. She sighed and rolled over in the cape to scoot closer to Magolor. She could feel his breath in small puffs on her neck. It was soft and cold like a spring breeze. "Magolor sure makes me feel safe, but I've become so numb because of this night I can't feel him there." Susie thought in her head. As she stared at the night sky, she felt a slight push at her side. Confused by this she looked over. She saw that Magolor was moving around in his sleep. His body weight shifted from one side to another like a rolling rock. It caused the cape around her to slip off her body, exposing it to the cold wind.
She groaned at this. "If he's not going to wake up I might as well join him." With that she pulled the cape over her once more and nestled even closer to the sleeping mage. Her eyes drooped little by little with every passing minute. The secretary listened to the wind as her breathing began to slow down. The ruckus that Magolor was causing in his sleep was but a mere distraction to Susie. The more she ignored the groans and shifts, the more her eyes shut. Finally, the secretary had shut her eyes completely. She was now in a dream like trance. Her breathing was shallow like Magolor's and her hands lay under her head.
The duo stayed like this for what seemed like 30 minutes, their bodies close to one another. The silence of the night had then engulfed them both. No more Bronto Burts hustled around, the wind stopped blowing, and the chirping of insects ceased. The sudden shifts in the mage had prevented them both from falling deeper into rest though. It was probably because it was impossible for them both to sleep in an environment like this for one night. Magolor squinted his eyes as he awoke. "Man, that dark heart really did a number on me."He went to brush off some twigs and leaves on his cheek when he felt a stabbing pain.
Cursing in his native tongue, Magolor went to touch his cheek again. This time he touched it lightly. "Ouch, what in Zero caused this bruise?" He wondered. His pondering had been interrupted when the secretary had lightly bumped against his head. Turning over he saw that Susie had been rocking back and forth in her sleep. That must've been why Magolor had suddenly awoken to find the secretary curled up in his cape. "Oh, she must've dreamt of….Taranza" he thought to himself. It was sad what happened to her. The mage really did feel like none of this would have happened if the spider hadn't gone to mourn his queen. "It sounds bad saying it in my head, but I still abide by that thought." With that thought in mind, he heaved himself and the female up from the dirt floor.
Susie groaned as Magolor lifted her up and wrapped her around his cape. She laid her head down on the mages shoulder as he began to walk once again back to the Lor. Ignoring the aching pain in his cheek, the mage floated over the grass. He made sure his grip on Susie was tight so she wouldn't shift every time he hopped over chasms and rocks. Her body was like stone, cold to the touch and hard. She deserved to still lie on the ground in a heap of blood, sweat, and tears. Or at least that was what she thought when the mage would take breaks from walking. He'd hold her close to him and lightly rock back and forth. It felt nice, but did she really deserve comforting? She caused someone to kill themselves at the cost of her innocence. The secretary held in some whimpers for her sake, wanting this all to be a dream. "Hey look, we're almost there so hang on tight Susie." Magolor stated. He was right, the outline of the Lor Starcutter could be seen. Ecstatic, the mage quickened his walking speed.
They were about 50 feet away from the ship. As they neared it, the female spoke. "Why are you helping me?"The mage stopped in his tracks when the question was asked. He stared down at the female in disbelief. "What do you mean why am I helping you?"
Susie grimaced, realizing the question was not a good one. He had helped her because she had been assaulted and traumatized, what type of person would ask this?!
Anyone in her position would be thankful that someone had carried them to a safe place and make sure they're safe. But not Susie. She had this guilt sitting in her stomach since the moment the attack had started. Once again tears started streaming down the female's face. Even though she felt like she didn't have the energy to cry no more, her body said otherwise. Shattered sobs broke throughout her as the mage held her close. He didn't know what to do, it wasn't like he came across raped women in forests on a daily basis. He decided the best thing to do was to rock back and forth, and let the secretary cry.
Susie's body shook as the tears poured out of her eyes. Magolor comfortingly patted her back when she started to hiccup. "I *hic* caused Ta-taranza's death *hic*. She paused for a moment or two, catching her breath. "If I h-hadn't gone to *hic* give Tara-a-anza a hard time I wouldn't be naked" she stuttered. Finally after what seemed to be 5 minutes, the female stopped crying.
Magolor took a deep breath to prepare what he was about to say to Susie. He still rocked back and forth as the quiet female clung onto him. "Susie none of that is true, please don't beat yourself up because of it" he said. He paused to see if she was even awake. He tilted his head down to see that she was staring right back at him. It startled him a bit, but he continued his speech nonetheless. "What happened was not your fault, none of it was." the mage reassured her.
Susie went to interject and opened her mouth. Magolor quickly shut her down by placing his finger over her lips. "I know what you're going to say, that Taranza wouldn't be dead if it weren't for you." he stated. "But let me tell you something Susie." he looked down to see she was still listening.
"Even if Taranza was paying respects to his queen, it still doesn't excuse him from raping you". Susie quickly went to push the finger off her lips and narrowed her eyes. "But I made fun of him while he was still mourning the loss of Sectonia, so does that mean I caused all of this mess"? She signaled to her naked body on the last word. Magolor sighed heavily at this. Staring the female in the eyes, he spoke. "No it doesn't, it means that Taranza reacted inappropriately to the situation. Not to mention the dark heart was a key role in your attack." he said. Susie wasn't done arguing however. She grabbed the mage by the ear and tugged on it. "I made fun of him when he was paying respects, how he reacted was justified. I deserved everything that happened to me tonight. I-I deserved it a-a-all." She was starting to break down again. In a swift and daring motion Magolor slapped her. His hand skidded across her cheek, surprising her. It left a hand impression on her. The skin had turned a pale red from the slap.
Before she could even utter a word, Magolor had rushed towards the Lor. The cool wind gnawed at her skin as the mage ran. When they got inside Magolor had set her down by the control panel. He fumbled with his cape a little. He wanted to give Susie some protection from the temperature of his ship, especially since he liked it cold. He finally unclipped his cape and clipped it around her. With a quick tug he checked to see if it was on her correctly. The sudden tug on the cape reminded the female of when she had the collar around her.
Magolor didn't know this however and was taken aback when Susie whimpered. His eyes shifted into a worrisome look at this. The secretary looked up at him with a pitiful look. "Please don't hurt me, I'm sorry I broke down" She mumbled.
The mage sighed at this and picked up Susie once more. Feeling her tighten his grip on him, he floated towards his bedroom. He knew he shouldn't be getting annoyed with someone like Susie, especially now but this whole situation had put him on edge.
When the duo had reached the entrance to the bedroom, Susie yawned. Magolor smiled warmly at this. "Lay your weary head to rest, don't cry anymore, you're safe" he whispered. She did as told laying her head down on his shoulder.
Susie was his priority now for the next couple of weeks. He'd have to take her to a hospital to see if she had gotten any infections, or dare he say, pregnant.
If Taranza had ended up getting her knocked up, Magolor would have to worry about the possibility of whether or not Susie would want to get rid of the being growing inside her. What would Meta Knight do, knowing that the woman who had kidnapped him was pregnant? Oh Nova why couldn't he had just shown up sooner?"If she ends up deciding to keep it, what happens if she ends up dying during labour, or if a miscarriage happens or-" A hand had waved in front of the mage's face, snapping him out of his thoughts. "Hello, Magolor?" Susie was currently sitting perked upright on the bed. Magolor took a look at the secretary. The cape was currently wrapped around her tightly."You know something Magolor?" she suddenly announced. He turned to the female half eager to see that she was talking. He sat perfectly still like an obedient soldier awaiting her words.
"One thing, I don't know why, it doesn't even matter how hard I try, I still end up sounding rude and snooty to people." She said in a depressed tone. She looked defeated, and that wasn't what Magolor wanted to see in her. With a shaky hand he placed it on her backside. Susie felt a hand move up and down her back in a comforting way. It was Magolor's hand obviously, who else would it be? "At least one good thing has come out of this whole night" The mage shook his head in response at her statement. "Well when your father doesn't even recognize you as his child I would be bitter towards everyone." He half-heartedly said. The comment tugged a little at Susie heartstrings as memories of her father appeared in her mind. She didn't want to think about that now, all she wanted to do was pray to Nova that none of this had taken place.
She looked up at the mage and her eyes gleamed with pity. "Please don't bring up my father, I still haven't recovered from that" the female pleaded.
Magolor fumbled a little with his hands as he tried to think up something to say to the broken female. "Oh Zero I'm sorry Susie, I just thought that you had moved on from him". Oh how he wished he hadn't said that, especially when he considered the state Susie was in. The female accusingly pointed a finger at the mage. "You're just like the rest of them, you never want to focus on why I'm so bitter and uptight" she hissed. Magolor didn't want to argue about this now. All he wanted to do was fall into his bed and curl himself up in his blankets. Yes that sounded unempathetic and cruel, but come on it was 3am in the morning. Who goes out raping people at 3am in the morning?! Apparently Taranza, because this situation wouldn't be happening if it wasn't for that. He wished he could just put Susie to sleep so she could get some peace and quiet from this chaotic night.
It was kind of hard to do that when you had an offended secretary an inch away from clawing at your throat. "I didn't mean to say that, y-you know what I m-meant" he stuttered like a broken record. Susie didn't buy his pathetic apology and floated over towards him. She was a mess. Her hair was matted, face caked with dirt. The cape around had held steady against her thin neck, revealing some bruises on her body.
And now that he examined Susie up closely, he could see that she looked like a sphere doomer. He didn't mean that she was fat like one, but that her eyes resembled one. He could see the fire in her eyes, burning into his skull. Thank Nova he didn't say that, because he didn't need to feel the extent of Susie's rage any longer. "I need to get some medical supplies to tend to any scratches she got. While I'm gone she can vent out her anger and hopefully when I get back, she won't be angry anymore" the mage thought as the idea conjured in his head. It was decided, he was going to leave Susie alone while he took his time to get the medical kit ready.
Taking in a shaky breath Magolor stood up. Without any form of communication Magolor walked out of the bedroom and slammed the door shut. This took Susie off guard. The slam of the door made her shiver at what Magolor was so angry about.
"It's my fault, I drove him off because I got angry at him. He helped me and this is how I react in response. Father would be ashamed of me if he ever saw how I treat people." Susie thought to herself. She sat there for Nova knows how long staring at the various alien technology. One of the trinkets caught her eyes. She saw what she assumed to be a yellow puzzle box. It had strange carvings over it, circles to be specific. Under the platform where it stood was a single piece of paper taped to the edge of the platform that said "DO NOT SOLVE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES" in bright red. Deciding that it wasn't worth her time to awe over, Susie looked around the bedroom for any other odd trinkets. In the corner of her eye she saw what appeared to be a triangular shaped helmet. It was very large and it looked to be off poor condition. The very tip of it was sharp, she felt it could cut through her skin like paper.
Just as she was admiring the craftsmanship of the strange helmet Magolor knocked on the door. "Susie, is it alright if i come in?" he asked. She replied with a "yes" and in came the mage with an abundant of medical supplies.
He sat down at the edge of the bed where Susie was. "I can't risk you getting an infection so I'm going to apply some antibiotics to your wounds". With steady hands he opened up a bottle of rubbing alcohol and poured it on a cotton ball. He played around with the cape around the female, checking if there were any scratches or bruises. Finally he found a bite mark on her neck. "D-did Taranza b-bite her?" He worryingly thought.
Not wanting to cause another breakdown to escape from Susie, Magolor said nothing about the apparent bite mark.
He looked at Susie and tapped her on the shoulder. "This is going to sting a little, so if you feel like you need to grab something don't be afraid to squeeze my hand" he said to Susie. He placed her on his lap and lightly dabbed the cotton ball on the bite mark.
The female hissed when she felt the cotton ball make contact with the wound. She lightly grasped the mage's hand in pain. The alcohol stung her neck, a very sensitive part of the body. Magolor's ear titled down as she whimpered in his chest. The secretary's eyes were clenched shut the entire time.
"Just a few more dabs and it'll be all over." Magolor muttered. The alcohol stung at her skin, inflaming the area around the bite mark. The female's grip on his hand tightened. A few minutes passed and it was over. Magolor's room smelt of alcohol now. His face scrunched up in displeasure.
"I hate the smell of rubbing alcohol, it makes my eyes sting." He mumbled to Susie. She was currently laying her head on Magolor's shoulder. She sighed a bit when he put the bottle of alcohol away. "We're not done just yet Susie, I still need to patch up the wound."
She groaned in annoyance at this. For Dee's sake she just wanted to go to sleep. She looked up to see Magolor held a bandaid in his hand. He stripped off the covering and lightly placed it on Susie's neck. He poked at any bumps on the bandaid to further ensure that the secretary wasn't at risk of infection.
Finally it was over, Susie could go to bed. With a heavy sigh she let go of Magolor and fell onto the bed. "It's over, I can rest now". The female sighed. The mage rolled over on his back, joining the female on the bed. He tapped her shoulder lightly to get her attention. She swatted at his hand as if it were an insect.
"Let me sleep Magolor, I just want to curl up and not wake up". Susie complained. The male's ears twitched slightly at this. He knew he shouldn't bother her, but he needed her consent for what he was about to do. "I just wanted to ask if you wouldn't mind if I cleaned around your…..you know…..uhhh". The mage paused when he saw the females face. She looked like she was about to grab the giant sword beside the helmet and whack him over the head.
She was furiously blushing. 'If you're suggesting that you clean down there I'm going to have to say no". She stated. The male nodded his head at her. "That's alright, I just wanted to make sure you were comfortable". Magolor said.
With that she got under the covers. The sheets wrapped around her body, providing her with warmth. Magolor hopped off the bed and traversed towards the door. He was just about to turn the doorknob when…
"WAIT DON'T GO!"
Magolor turned around to see Susie looking at him with pitiful eyes. The blush on her face was present. The male walked over to the side of the bed where Susie laid and tilted his head. "What is it Susie, is there something wrong?" Magolor asked.
Susie sighed and pulled the sheets up to her cheeks. "I just wanted to ask if…"
The male's face shifted into a confused look as her sentence faded. "You were wondering if what?" he asked.
Susie took in a breath and her hands tightened around the blanket. "No turning back now". She thought to herself.
"I was wondering if you could…. sleep with me tonight" she asked, maintaining eye contact with the male.
Magolor was taken off guard by this request, but knowing that Susie had gone through enough tonight, shook his head up and down.
"Sure Susie, if that's what you want". He walked over to the opposite side of the bed and burrowed under the covers. He looked over to see that Susie was moving closer to him. "Is she scared to not be by my side?" Magolor thought to himself. Shrugging it off he leaned over the light switch and flicked them down. The room was engulfed in complete darkness, and by the time he went to lie back, the female was practically an inch away from him. Sighing he scooped her up in his hands, surprising the female a bit.
He nuzzled her face and held her hands in his. Their fingers intertwined like tangled string. He could feel her unsteady breathing against his neck. She was scared that he would leave her. His kissed her on the forehead and her eyes widened. "It's alright, I won't leave you". Magolor reassured her. Susie buried her face into the mage's face as her vision got blurry. The last thing she saw was Magolor's smiling face. And like that, the duo fell into a deep slumber.
